They do not have any experience, my child was injured from his ears and the hair cut is not good at all. I tried all the workers they have and the same thing I do not advise anyone to go

Katrina put my faith back in getting a good stylist. Warm, good listening skills to get what you want not what they think you should have. Been going here for years and she is the very best by far.

I stopped in to Hot Cuts at Colonie Center without an appointment and was welcomed in. After they took my temperature, Sooki gave me an excellent haircut. When I left, every hair was perfect and in place. I highly recommend Sooki.

My dad went here for a haircut and the lady that cut his hair buzzed his mask and broke it! It was a $30 mask! Thats absurd

I had appointment for highlights then she not smile her name Sara, after when finished my hair one side is brown other side highlights. I was nice and I gave her a tip too she even didn’t say thank you. I don’t like that . I put brown color to covered all her mistakes with highlights. I feel very down plus I paid a lot money. That is really not fair.

I’ve gone here many times. I use the stylist who sits in the front behind and slightly to the left of the main front desk. I wish I could remember her name. She’s an Asian woman in her 40’s or 50’s. Very good! Very satisfied.

I dont know why this place gets some very negative reviews. I always get a great haircut with Suki and I see many other satisfied customers with other stylists. From the chatter I hear in the shop its obvious many people come here again and again.

Ann is amazing and knows how to fix a bad haircut, make your hair fabulous if you havent gone in a while, and just do general upkeep, shes so talented and friendly! I have had mixed results with other people there-- sometimes it looks great, sometimes its not at all what I wanted. The lady who works the front desk always has a compliment and scheduling is easy. Id recommend it over many of the more expensive places in the area, honestly!

My husband and I have been going to Hot Cuts for at least 10 years. Neither of us has ever had a problem. A few times the cut wasnt **exactly** the way I wanted it, but it wasnt bad - not worth a complaint...and 99% of the time we both get exactly what we ask for with no issues. We have both had a number of the different hairdressers cut our hair and its just fine.

I went to the shop on a Monday evening. Two people were in the shop, no customers. Both girls were eating. I totally understand that employees are entitled to breaks etc. one reluctantly looked up and asked what I needed. I told her a cut. She then said it’s going to be a few minutes. I sat for a few minutes and left them to finish their dinner and went to their competitor. It just irritated me that both girls felt that it was ok for both available stylist to basically shut down business. One of them should have been available. Maybe I’m wrong but this is very poor customer service.

Ann (Most people on here refer to her as the girl with the purple hair) is excellent, shes cut and colored my hair, which i loved!! . BUTTT under any circumstances if you are a woman, DO NOT LET THE KOREAN LADY CUT YOUR HAIR. She is very nice, but every single time I have gone for a walk in and a quick cut she messes up my hair! When ever Ann does my hair she asks who messed it up! If you make an appointment you should be fine, but beware of walk in appointments

This place was so rude to my friend and I the white lady with all the different colored hair black white and brown and old extensions and her 30s or 40s got in my face started yelling at us because I ask her opinion about my friends haircut he was receiving at the time she began to get louder with me told me I was overwhelmed and panicking and then said to me she would never have me or my friend came back there I even told her I like the hair cut she was doing on someone else and still she was rude she still remain yelling at me and my friend telling me to do the haircut myself because I was a barber they did not how ever do the hair cut correctly and made us pay but my friend and I apologize to the lady who gave the haircut and gave her a very nice tip please people dont go their everyone was so rude.... all I can say about this place was rude rude rude never have I ever been so disrespected while giving a compliment

Me and my sister went for the Tuesday hair cut + shampoo special. After they were done, they refused to dry our hair because it is apparently not included in the service, so we had to leave with soaking wet hair in the dead of winter

The old woman at the front desk is useless. I stepped up and stood for awhile before she turned around to acknowledge me. She then stared at me until I said I need a haircut. Her look of confusion as she looked around and said she didnt know what to do because everyone has an appointment was frustrating, mostly because her tone of voice made it sound like I should have known this. I then asked how long of a wait and she again told me she didnt know. Whats the point of having her there if she cant provide any basic information?

Im usually pretty relaxed about haircuts. It will grow back if I hate it that much, right? I normally have extremely simple requests when I get my haircut...but since I cant see the back of my head well enough to cut it myself and my wife wont do it I go to hair salons every 3 months or so (growing out my hair). I asked for two inches off the back and to do some layering of the back to help with volume control.Do you want anything off the front?NoWhat about just a trim so its all the same length on the front and sides?FineI have areas where only maybe 6 inches are gone...other areas where it will take me a year to reach my desired length again. Hey at least Im already married so its not going to be the end of the world going through the awkward medium length hair purgatory again as my styling options are limited and everything I do looks like crap...Im just surprised that I paid money to get set back a year of growth. Its my own fault for going to a mall for a haircut...just dont make the mistake I did. Find a decent place, make an appointment, and get a haircut you actually enjoy.

Rude staff - people who pick up the phone lie give wrong information. Confirmed my haircut time today and when reached - traveling 2 hours -there they told me that my appointment was earlier and were rude. Ann K I was getting haircut from her for last 15 years didnt even accommodated me or was also rude so will never come back to this place they are not the only hairdressers in town dont go over there and dont waste your time . Refused to give me any owner info too.

Ive heard horror stories of this store but I went anyways , first the front desk woman was very nice so awesome thing to come into after a long day of work. I only give it 4 stars cause its my first time going here and a mall salon on top of that. I got Anita to do my trim and blow dry. She did a good job and was very sweet and funny, im very picky about who does my hair I usually only let Dominican salons do my hair ( Im Dominican also lol) but this was a nice quick experience and I like that she asked me questions before trimming or suggesting anything for my hair. I love that she kept my curls and trimmed it just right on my side and worked hard to blend it all after I did my own hack job cut lol Id definitely come back for a trim now and then. Next is to experience their eye brow waxing lol

As others are saying this place is hit or miss. The Korean lady, the blonde woman with the purple streak, the lady with thick glasses, and the dude (Rich?) have all done a fine job on my hair. Several others have butchered it. Rich usually fixes it when that happens.

Very rude the lady kept cutting my hair when I said the length was good Ill never go here again I even showed her a picture of what I wanted before she started and she insisted on doing it!!! Now my sides are all messed up i have to pay someone else to fix their mistake.... btw i bought a hat so i can hide this horrible hair cut...at least my sons haircut came out ok. IlI never go here again

The quality and professionalism at this shop is deplorable. If anyone decides to come here only have your hair cut by the Korean hair dresser, anyone else will butcher your hair. I left this salon with a bald spot right down the middle of my head, as well as another spot near the back of my head. The bottom of the back of my hair was cut in a flat, blunt, arching style and the overall quality lacks any hint of professionalism. The entire cut was uneven. I was not even shown the back of my head, and trusted that no one would be able to mess it up as its a fairly simple cut. I was not able to see the bald spots in the salon very clearly because of my view and the lighting, however when I came home, I was shown the blatant short patches in the long hair. The worst part was that the mistakes were so obvious, yet no one, not the hair dresser, nor the cashier or anyone else bothered to tell me about damaged spots. They watched me pay full price, even tipping the lady as I left. I will never step into Hot Cuts again.

So disappointed I done my highlights for the first time in my life and the lady she did the worst job because the color that she used it was not even the color that I show her the picture and she also charge me 135 color according to her because of my hairs length . She rushed my hairs because she have to take other appointment. I did not like my hair color at all . The makes me in tears . I will not recommend them for highlights .
