2021 has been the year of YES for so many of us, and for me, personally, its been the year to say YES to some fun body and beauty mods. This is my first foray into semi-permanent cosmetic pigment. It was easy to get say YES with no fear, because Ashleys eye and sense of color is *chefs kiss* level perfection. I can definitely recommend Ashley and her services at Urbane. I took Ashley’s Vermont Microblading Course in June. I was hesitant to take a course like this but I left feeling extremely confident in getting into the Permanent makeup field. I have been struggling with my eyebrows my entire life. I have a scar in the middle of an eyebrow which made it hard for me to properly shape them. That all ended when I went in to see Jess. She is amazing! She has done an amazing job shaping my eyebrows. Highly recommend Also,the studio is always super clean. Everyone is super friendly and always happy to say hello.

I went to Urbane several times for brow wax, shape, and tint. I was actually quite happy with my brows each time Ashley did them, however I stopped booking with Urbane due to the inconvenience with scheduling. Ashley was late to my first 2 appointments but I continued to go to her because I was pleased with the final result. My next appointment was rescheduled by Ashley because “something came up”, which I didn’t mind at the time so I rescheduled. That same rescheduled appointment was then moved 2 more times because Ashley could not accommodate the appointment times that she suggested for rescheduling. As a customer that was driving from Saratoga Springs to Albany for these appointments (40 minutes) I decided it was no longer worth the hassle of trying to get an appointment. I also rarely got an answer when trying to call the “business” phone number so I ended up leaving messages that often went unanswered.

Took Ashley’s class about almost a week ago , very professional she goes through every detail there is to know about microblading .. great team urbane ! Thank you for everything !

I researched micro blading and lash lifts for a good year, watched you tube videos, and poured over before and after pictures! You WILL feel comfortable at Urbane Brows and Beauty. Jess did my lashes, she’s so patient and her demeanor made me feel at ease. And everyone is wearing scrubs! What relief! It escalates the sense of professionalism of Urbane. It’s not a pretentious spa or salon. Jess walked me through the whole process, telling me her next steps. Ashley did my brows and OH MY GOODNESS. They look phenomenal. Again, Ashley walks with you through the process, asks what you think and you’ll feel like you’re in capable hands. After my initial session completely healed, the fine strokes looked perfect. Trust Ashley and Jess. Trust the process of healing, follow the instructions they give you, use the cream and for heavens sake don’t pick! I just went back for the touch up on my brows. I can’t stop looking at myself. Just go there now.

I really hate to do this because the girls here were so so nice and tried their best to make my lashes work but I’m just really unhappy with my results. My lashes are so over curled they are like circles that touch my eyelid. I got the Lash lift and tint and my one eye was gorgeous. At first the other was not bad I just needed them a little darker and my left eye was over curled. The owner was so sweet and asked me to come in and I really appreciated it but honestly my eyelashes were worse. One eye is dark and full and perfect and my other eye is curled sticking in every direction and up against my eyelid in a complete circle. I can’t even use mascara because it just gets everywhere. I have my graduation and prom coming up and I just spent 170+ dollars to try to look nice for them. Now I don’t know what I’m going to do

I had a really great experience here; it was my first time trying eyebrow tinting. The staff was professional and accommodating. I loved being able to book my own appointment online, and being pleasantly surprised when I arrived because I was charged $21 less than what I thought I would. There werent a lot of people inside (which I liked), masks stayed on the entire time, and it was a very chill/comfortable environment. I rated a 4 because I didnt like having to pay for parking (on street parking) and the entrance is on a side street that required gps to find it after I parked. I called before I arrived; I feel like both of those things are something I would have preferred to know before arriving. Lastly, while my eyebrows turned out (looking) great, the next morning I noticed that they were actually pretty uneven- in shape. Maybe not noticeable at first glance but once you see it, you cant unsee it. I think I might have had a small irritation from the product used for tinting, also. Both brows broke out with tiny bumps on the top and bottom of my eyebrow. Id still give it another try though. Id just examine the finished work more closely before leaving to make sure they are even. Anyway, its been a week and the tint still look great. I would recommend! There are way more pros than cons.

Jess does my eyelash extensions and microbladed my eyebrows. She is FANTASTIC. My eyelashes always look amazing and she really takes her time to make sure that you get a perfect result. I was a little nervous to get my eyebrows microbladed but Jess thoroughly went over every detail of the process and the aftercare with me which put me at ease about it. The end result was AMAZING!!! I’ve never liked how my eyebrows looked until Jess did them. It was very reasonably priced too. I can’t say enough good things about Jess or urbane!!

I went in for a consultation to which I got a full run down and scheduled my appointment to go forward with getting my brows microbladed. The scheduling process was very efficient and did allow me plenty of time to adjust dates or cancel if need be. When I had my brows done Ashley was extremely professional and did an incredible job. It feels like a little side ave in Saratoga.I did some research first and I decided to go to Ashley for a Yumi lash lift and tint. She is to my knowledge the only provider in the area who offers the Yumi Lift and Tint.Yumi is different than other lash lifts and tints because the solution contains cysteine which is a helpful little animo acid that strengths lashes and actually IMPROVES the health of your natural lashes.As a natural redhead, my lashes are naturally a strawberry blond and very straight. Even a good lash curler doesn’t keep them curled.Ashley takes her time and fans them out exactly in the shape I prefer, which is a bit more of a cat eye than a straight lift- my lashes are too long for that now! She is a sweetheart, professional and is a pleasure to chat with.The entire process only takes about an hour and a half and its so relaxing. While you can go every 4-8 weeks, I personally like to go every 7 weeks, although after 5 because of the natural regrow that happens to all hair I do start to miss the fresh curl!My lashes are jet black and perfectly curled for the entire month and a half and after a bit they do start to appear less black but just because the new lashes growing in are light! That curl lasts the entire time... I sometimes wear mascara but they appear a bit thicker and glossy on their own so it makes it so easy to just moisturize, throw on concealer and run out the door! I can also wear falsies as I please and they process is safe.I had a hard time with lash extension retention in the past as I use a lot of oil based products in my hair and on my face. This is the perfect balance between extensions and mascara. I use lash boot to keep the length what I like, and Ashley takes care of the shape and color!

As someone that had Microblading in the past and did laser to take it off because it was sitting on 15 year old marker style tatto, and know what to expect . The experience I had at urban was sooo good I love the work communication and the outcome not mentioned that it’s the first time that I can say that the numbing cream really work ! I was very nervous to try Microblading but had always been intrigued by the concept. I went to see Jess for a consultation and she answered all of my questions and helped me map out a perfectly symmetrical brow shape and color match and reassured me that I would love it. I went in for the Microblading procedure a few days later and was again, very nervous. I didnt want it to look unnatural, be too dark, or overtake my face, and I was also worried it would be very painful and hard to care for. As soon as I arrived Jess made me feel at ease and got me excited to do it again. The initial tracing of the brow line stung quite a bit, but after that the numbing gel made the rest of the process painless. I was above and beyond happy with the result, and would highly recommend it to anyone who has lighter brows!

I initially visited Urbane to get my eyebrows shaped. After speaking with Ashley about all the other services Urbane has to offer, I decided to try the Yumi Lash. Having long lashes already I wasnt sure if I would see much difference but WOW!! My lashes are perfect. No eye makeup needed. Ashley is definitely the go to girl for eyebrows and lashes. Ill be back for sure!!!!

Ive been here twice and had a third appointment scheduled. The service was fine, but scheduling has been a nightmare. I had an appointment canceled by Urbane and called for a week to reschedule. I finally got an appointment rescheduled, at an inconvenient time, before work. Ashley was late to the appointment, and as a result, I was late to work. She didnt charge me, which I appreciated it, but it was a lot of work to just get an appointment. I rescheduled again, only to have the appointment canceled a couple days before. They hired a new technician, but still ended up canceling appointments. I will not be returning. You can have the greatest service in the world, but if youre not reliable, you wont keep customers.

BROWS OBSESSED. I had my brows initially microbladed in October with the touchup in December. They are perfection. Ashley is as sweet and beautiful as she is knowledgeable. She is truly an expert at her craft. I have had my eyebrows done on the East coast, West coast, down South. There is literally no comparison. That being said, I am EXTREMELY discerning when it comes to brows. I initially had trepidation committing to the microblading. I am usually one to get the wax and tint. You can’t lose either way. After searching forever for someone to do Yumi lashes for me, I finally found a place! Not only was scheduling online a breeze, I was able to get in right away! Tucked away in a cute storefront away from the craziness of downtown Albany, this place is the best. Not only was it very clean, Ashley was so professional, very thorough about explaining each step of the process and made sure I was comfortable. I mean what more could you want than taking a small nap while getting your lashes done on a cozy, heated bed. Ashley was very nice and went through the process with me with the lash lift. It was my first time here. I had a lash lift at another salon, but the lash lift products were very irritating on my eyes. The process here was only mild irritation and it felt like it went by very fast! I love the results!! Definitely will have to come back.

Best experience ever!!!! First off, I was scared of the pain, but there was none! Just felt like scratching, honestly. Speaking of pain, its the second day since I got them done, and they are not tender or anything! Not even itchy! I cannot explain how happy I am with the results. I feel like a new woman. I have always hated my eyebrows, but Ashley slayedddddd. Not only was she talented, professional, and explained every step of the process, she was the sweetest, funniest gal. I definitely made a friend in her. She took the caterpillars above my eyes, and gave me the exact brows I explained. Cannot say enough good things!

I have been wanting to get my eyebrows microbladed for YEARS but I have been so afraid. I tried to let them grow in from overplucking but it was so hard! I went to Ashley for waxing and a tint as a first step, and it came out great, but we talked and before I left that day I made a microblading appointment. I know you cant always trust the reviews but in this case they are all true. My eyebrows look amazing. The process and making an appointment were so simple. I’ve been wanting to get my eyebrows microbladed for a little over a year now, and when I finally called Ashley she made the entire experience so easy and flawless. The studio is beautiful and she’s a wizard at doing brows. I’ve loved my new brows from the second I left after my first appointment, would highly recommend if you want the best.

Ashely did an amazing job with my brows! Thanks to Ashley at Urbane Brows and Beauty my eyebrows are far better than I could have ever imagined. I used to spend 45 minutes shaping and filling in all my blank spots around my brow shape with pencil and pomade and now I don’t have to touch them and they are perfect !
