The doctor took their time with me, and made sure she got it right. All staff were friendly and welcoming despite being short-staffed. They did their best to ensure all customers were taken care of.

Dr. Ken Chen provided me with an excellent eye exam. I have a complicated prescription and he took time to consider issues of astigmatism and prism. Dr. Chen reviewed with me the results of the retinal exam. He was very thorough, thoughful and appreciated my input on my history and previous prescriptions. I highly recommend this talented and personable optometrist!

My appointment was at 4:21 pm on July 23, 2020. They were about 1 1/2 hours behind. I was not walking out of there until after 6:30. Poor frames selection. Today is 8/6/20 and I still do not have my glasses, nor a phone call. I will not go to this location again...,EVER.

It was easy snd very professional. We were in and out in under an hour and thats with an exam.

Good experience, visit every year. Everyone was very kind and helpful from the doctor, receptionists and assistants. Took time to go through all the explanations so I would understand, very patient in helping and giving me multiple tips on ways to put on contacts. Did not rushed me even when its busy.

Victor clearly explained the progressive lens glasses and sold me without being pushy or aggressive. He was great and I cant wait to get my new glasses.

This is not LensCrafters but Dr. Chen, when i absolutely couldn’t get any help from LensCrafters through customer service during the lockdown for my prescription, i broke my glasses and needed the prescription. i found dr. Chen on Facebook, reached out and he personally helped me get everything settled and got me a prescription via email and phone. He personally went way above and beyond when the company failed. Can’t thank him enough!

Front desk staff was totally incompetent and unhelpful. Optometrist lied/was misinformed about what contact lenses were available which resulted in her telling me my contact brand is being fazed out. Upon reviewing the contact lens suppliers website I found this to be untrue and could not find any evidence to confirm her information. I asked to be given my previous prescription and was told to come in to the office in order to have my prescription updated. The front desk staff told me to come in (no need to bring anything). I came in only to be told by a different optometrist that she could not update my prescription without seeing the contact on my eye but unfortunately, they did not have any in stock for me to show her. I had to reschedule again, only to see the original optometrist who said: oh, that was totally unnecessary I would have just given you the prescription.No one coordinates here. No one cares about patients. Total waste of my time. I will never return to Eyexam of California.

Dr. P was fabulous. Friendly, highly competent, efficient. Exam fee was reasonable and they dont hard-sell you on the extras.

I honestly have to say that I was very pleased with the service I recieved at the Alameda location. Friendly and attentive service. Everyone from front office to the Dr. I would recommend them to anyone.

Had a 2.40 appointment wasnt seen until 3.30. Very uneasy w how the lady would not give me info regarding my VSP allowances ans could not provide me w how much i should be paying forna new set of glasses. This was handled by the manager and gave me avibe that it was better off going somewhere to conduct my business. Wont be headed back there again @ all
