Some of the best service I have ever received, in any business.My previous pair of glasses were damaged and lost on a trip, and i returned home on a Sunday, with work the next day. Next Monday I called around, and found Dr Marcus as a highly rated optometrist. I shared my issue/crisis with them and they were able to fit me in that day for a check up. Dr Marcus has excellent bedside manner; you can tell he has a passion for helping others solve their optical needs. The office anticipated the glasses would arrive by Friday.Even better, i got a call from their office Wednesday - 2 days later - saying my glasses were available for pick up. The woman who runs the front office called the manufacturer relentlessly until she got a hold of them, and was able to expedite the shipping for me.I am beyond satisfied with their service. 10/10. They will be my go-to for any of my optical needs.

Very disappointed about costumer service. For some reason (maybe dont wanting to deal with insurance or who knows) they didnt want our business, didnt want us to try glasses until insurance was fixed to avoid waisting time and where very difficult.

I had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Marcus! He was very professional and friendly. I needed to get new contact lenses prescription and Dr. Marcus got the perfect fit for me within the first time. He uses what one may say some old school machines, but did a better job than my previous eye-care specialist did with their newest equipment! Last place I went to before Dr. Marcus, had me come back twice, because they didnt fit the right contacts for me. Its all in the skills and experience! Also, Ive never known about the contacts rebate until I went to Alameda Optometry. With their instructions, I was able to get $50 card from Acuvue, which no other office helped me with before. Also, I went to Dr. Marcus when the office finally reopened after the initial quarantine and shut down of businesses due to coronavirus. Every possible precaution was taken by Dr. Marcus and his staff to prevent the spread. I felt very safe in that matter as well. Highly recommend!

Ive been going to Dr. Marcus for about eight years now and he is wonderful! Hes very knowledgeable and thorough with his exams. He also explains why hes doing certain tests, which is good to know. In addition, the staff is so nice, helpful, and very caring. Highly recommended!

First time going to this place after moving to Alameda. I dont see myself going anywhere else again. Hes got a great personality that makes the exam actually fun And hes very knowledgeable when explaining everything to me. Also they have a good selection of glasses.

This is a genuine caring and customer oriented office. Karen at the front desk definitely knows her stuff from insurance to finding the right pair of glasses. Dr. Marcus is very knowledgeable and knows when to refer a patient on. My family and I have been seeing him for 3 years now.

Best Optometrist I have ever been too. He goes above and beyond to check for everything. I had to leave early before my glaucoma exam, so he let me come back the following week to finish the exam (free of charge).Besides being a great optometrist, hes genuinely a good person. He gave me a list of good places to visit in SF and recommended a few shopping places. If It wasnt a weird thing to befriend your optometrist, I wouldve totally asked me to be my friend.On top of all that, his staff is soooo nice. They made sure that I understood what my insurance offered and the best deals to use. They have really nice glasses and contacts prices, but if you find something cheaper they will match you.Overall, a great experience and I would recommend everyone to go to him.

Dr. Marcus took me on as an eye patient after having very poor vision following a corneal transplant. He took a lot of time with extreme attention to detail, my comfort, and my vision and changed my life with his incredibly precise glasses prescription. Best optometrist Ive ever been to, and Ive been to plenty.
