I went here to see Dr. Cho for Ortho K. I was so happy when she took my case, as I am over 50 and have a very complicated prescription (astigmatism & far sided). She worked very closely with me, and here I am, about 1-1/2 years in, and I cant believe I can work, read and drive with NO GLASSES!! She stuck with me the entire way and was easily accessible for questions and issues. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Cho.

Have been going here for 20+ years and love Dr Butzons office. He is the leading in eye care innovation and takes his time to address my issues. I believe that all doctors are good, some are ok, but Dr Butzon is top of the line exceptional! He is the best of the best and I was very please that he referred me to see another of his colleagues for laser surgery. If its something he cant do he will ensure he referres you to the top-notch care. He treats you like family, so he will always look out for the best for your eyes!

My 1st visit after a recommendation. I am very pleased with this practice. Very modern, staff is very customer service centered. Very pleased after my 1st visit. As the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. They succeeded in the first impression department.

What a great experience! Obviously during Covid its super important to keep things clean and sanitary, so I was really happy to see how well prepared and to see everyone there wearing masks and taking every possible precaution. The entire clinic/store was clean and sanitary. Beyond all that, the service was great, the young ladies Were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable, !Dr, Steven Butzon was super friendly and a real pro, we had a great conversation, A+ service for sure, Ill definitely get back there again when the time comes.

I chose DuPage Optical because of the good reviews. So very glad I did.When getting the examination they do a shot of air in your eye - ugh!!!!I so hate that!! So when I asked them do we need to do that,yes.They had this very cool tool that just barely touches your eyelashes.It was perfect because like stated.. i hate that blast of air in my eyes.The ladies at the front desk were awesome! So ready to make you welcomed. The doctor was fabulous; very thorough . When choosing a pair of glasses that would fit my shape face, the woman at the desk helped.Very satisfied!

I was referred from my ophthalmologist to see Dr. Cho for my dry eyes. She did an evaluation and suggested to do LipiFlow. Since the procedure I have no dry or scratchy eyes. I see better and no discomfort. The procedure really helped me. Thank you Dr. Cho!

Ive been going to DuPage Optical for more than 10 years and plan to return even though I moved to a location that is 25 miles away. Im always very well taken care of. The exam is not rushed and we routinely discuss potential issues and options. The glasses I got are superior and have been long lasting. My sunglasses where by far the best Ive ever had. I highly recommend DuPage Optical!!!

I used the service of the doctor coming to my moms house for the exam. She is a senior and cant drive, this service is awesome. The doctor was on time, did a great exam, and also called me afterward to tell me the results. I recommend this to anyone needing in home care!

This is my second time visiting the office. I like the way the doctor worked with me to get my contacts just right because I have tricky eyes. I was also impressed at the advanced technology available at the office to test for different types of eye disorders. I have never seen these types of machines! The office staff is always friendly and upbeat. They even gave me an earlier appointment than originally scheduled today when I called in to see if I could change it. Finally, the assortment of frames to choose from are high quality and top notch! I am thrilled that I found this office which is so close to home and work!

So grateful that we went to DuPage Optical! The staff is great A and Dr. Cho is the best. Kade’s vision changed dramatically within six months, Dr. Cho was on top of the situation and explained our options. Kade who is only 9, is using Ortho-K for his myopic eyes. This is his second year of using the nightly contacts and when he takes them out in the morning he has perfect vision.I’m so grateful that Dr. Cho is so knowledgeable in her profession, if Kade wasn’t diagnosed properly his eyes would have only gotten worse even with glasses!

I knew I was having a problem with my eyes being extremely itchy and a little crusty in the morning. I didn’t realize my glands were clogged and I wasn’t blinking all the way.Thank you Dr. Cho for the amazing technology your office has and your quick diagnosis. Showing me the video, photos of my blinking and clogged glands explained my dry eye problems.The procedure was painless and the technician was very detailed in explaining what she would be doing and what I would expect in sensations.The follow up exercises are easy to do and hopefully my follow-up in two months will show improvement in my severe dry eye.

I’ve been going to DuPage Optical for 5 years now and I’ve never had an excellent visit. Every year I say I’m going to give them another chance, but needless to say, this was definitely the last time I go. This last time I had to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time to be taken into consultation. None of the workers or doctors ever approached me to let me know they were running behind schedule or that it would take longer than expected to get me in. May I point that there was only one other patient in consultation so why it took so long for them to get to me is far beyond my understanding. I thought maybe at least I would get prescription sunglasses that I saw there and really liked but I looked them up and the frames sell for $235, at DuPage Optical, they sell for $399, PASS! Ill take my money and time somewhere that I actually feel valued and appreciated.

My husband and I have been going to DuPage Optical for around 3 or 4 years. We absolutely love Dr. Cho & Dr. Butzon they have helped my husband seen way better, and they have helped me with my night driving. I find them to just be so amazing and so friendly. We are constantly joking with the office and staff. While they are super people friendly, they are also super knowledgeable and explain everything in depth. We will never not go see them. They are just great! Oh and I have a giant head, like huge...and they always find me a pair of glasses that will work! And they help you pick out the correct pair.

Dr. Butzon is simply amazing. It has been 10 years since Ive seen an eye doctor, and he took the time to really give me a thorough exam and found a muscle imbalance in my eyes that any other doctor probably would have missed. I now have prism glasses and they are amazing! Wouldnt go anywhere else. The environment here is very calm and the waiting area is always pristine. I have a very bad fear of any type of medical doctor and Dr. Butzon made me feel very relaxed and at ease. My mother is already a client, and now they have just gained a new client for life!

Brought my son to see Dr.Butzon and he did a fantastic job! DuPage Optical has such advanced equipment that allows the Doctor to really go into depth about your eye health. Dr.B and the rest of the staff are great with kids and had my son smiling the entire time. I’ll definitely take my son here for all of his eye necessities!

This was my first time experience with DuPage Optical, which was a home visit for my bed bound dad by Dr. Butzon who was phenomenal. Dr. Butzon not only provided a thorough eye exam but also showed care, concern and compassion for my elderly father. Iris in the office was very pleasant to work with and reached out to me quite promptly when I inquired about scheduling a home visit for dad and answered all my questions/concerns. I never thought Dr. Butzon would be able to see my dad so soon. While I have not visited the office, the positive encounter of the home visit makes me highly recommend DuPage Optical.

Steve Butzon, O.D. and Caroline Cho, O.D. are amazing! I couldnt be happier to have been referred to them! I have Keratoconus and literally could not see for about four years! Dr. Butzon took his time every appointment to make sure he had everything accurate. I am so happy I can see now after four dreadful years!!! The only reason this place gets one star is because I cant give anything less if I want to write a review.Like many others have posted, I felt my visit here was more about how they can can profit off of me versus helping me with my eye care needs. On the phone I was told the total fees would be $54 and somehow I left paying $115 and didnt even get any contacts or glasses.So many things were wrong with this appointment. Prior to being seen by the doctor I was taken into a room to have imaging done and tests for glaucoma. The first machine they used was the glaucoma testing machine. They tested one eye and then the machine stopped working and the lady blamed the fact that it was an old machine (even though they can definitely afford a new one with all that they profit) so I only had one eye tested (even though I still get to pay for both!)Then, I got pictures of the oil glands in my eye. First of all, the machines were coated in other peoples facial oils and were obviously not cleaned. Secondly, the lady taking these images on the LipiView used a plastic piece to pull my eyelid down, but did not wipe it off before or after using it which is directly exposing the eye to pathogens... This is a healthcare facility, I would think you would promote sanitation. Thirdly, the lady simply stated, oh thats bad, thats really bad and cringed after she took the picture, not explaining what it was or what it meant. Let me teach you guys a little something about therapeutic communication; you NEVER degrade your patients and always explain what youre doing and why. And if you cant explain the findings, dont you dare react to them.Now lets move on to Dr. Cho. After a quick contact lens fitting she tried to get me to buy the one day contacts which are very expensive and when I said no to that she tried to sell me on the orthoK contacts which are also extremely expensive. I told her I just wanted the same contacts Ive been getting my whole life and she then tried to sell me on glasses. I told her I dont usually wear glasses because they make me dizzy and I dont like them and she gave me a look like I was insane. (Note: she gave me one day contacts as a trial and didnt tell me they were one day, so 1. I wore them for two weeks thinking they were monthly and 2. I assumed she was a good doctor and listened to what I was saying that I wanted monthly and I ordered a year supply because they fit well but they were delivered and were one day contacts!! Whoever posted about her being a car salesman doctor is SPOT ON)She then reviewed the images from earlier with me. While she did explain the findings more, she did so in a very rude and unsympathetic manner. She told me, Ive seen 85 year olds with better eyes. She made me feel as though the dying of my oil ducts was my own fault since I studied too much in school and wasnt closing my eyelids all the way. Im so sorry Dr. Cho for wanting to succeed academically.After going home and crying because Dr. Cho made me feel at fault, unintelligent, and now broke, I decided to post this review to warn others. Overall, I am extremely disappointed in the cleanliness, customer service, and lack of adherence to basic patient care principles. Please find a more competent doctor to care for you, your friends, and family.

Absolute scam. Go ANYWHERE else. Absolutely clueless staff, used car salesman doctor, absurd fees ($230 for a contact appointment). Ive never felt so cheated in my entire life.Dr. Caroline Cho cares more about money than your health. In the course of one visit, she:-Tried to bully me into buying one-day lenses (most expensive)-Quoted made-up costs (Youll probably save $25 per month on contact solution if you by this brand from me Oh really? How much does that one cost? *offended* Well I dont know PRICES. But Im sure youll save $25 per month...)-Literally told me I dont have time to talk with you anymore. Youre making so many other patients wait. EXCUSE ME? I paid for time with a doctor, not to be bullied and insulted.-Continued to be rude to me when I asked any questions to better understand contacts, eye health, etc.Her assistant had no answers to any of my questions about their fees, policies, or my general eye health. The receptionist overcharged me $30 and then did not know how to give me a refund.Absolutely clueless staff, used car salesman doctor, absurd fees ($230 for a contact appointment). Ive never felt so cheated in my entire life.

Previously, we had always gone to FourEyes and had never experienced the technological tools that Dupage Optical uses, which enabled us to better evaluate, understand, and care for our eyes. Nice place, terrible service. Overcharged my wife for contacts because they didnt bother to ask for insurance (WHAT?) and sent my baby brother with 1 pair of contacts to try out for a month, charged full price. The contacts were a brand he was not familiar with. Why did they give him an appointment a month away and the contacts are meant to be worn for 2 weeks?

Terrible. Horrible place. Dr almost literally bullied my mom into physical therapy for eyes (googled it a while later, MANY other doctors disagree with the method and very little results come from this therapy) 95$ a week for 2.5 months. HORRIBLE waste of money.And when we finally grew tired of it, and came to our senses, my mom asked to the doctor to fit me for glasses he BLATANTLY refused and practically kicked us out of the place.He basically stormed out of his office and became extremely rude, when we walked over to the receptionist and she asked how the session went, we almost said fine and he interjected saying they WILL NOT be receiving glasses jeez. okay dude. Dont have to make a scene.Havent gone back since. COMPLETE SCAM. Spent probably over 500$ on this therapy and I still see the same, went to another eye doctor for an exam and ordered some frames online.I literally dont review anything but I was so appalled by this grown mans behavior and attitude that I STILL remember the expirience. Do not waste your money here!!Tldr; WALMART PROBABLY HAS A BETTER SERVICE.

My family and I having been seeing Dr. Butzon for quite a few years now, so when my mom who has dementia needed an aye exam it was a no brainer to bring her to see the Dr. And Im glad to say she did very well the DR. explained everything to her so that she knew what was going on. Love DuPage optical! I’ve been coming here for 20 years and I’m never switching. Dr. Butzon and Dr. Cho are wonderful. The staff is great and super friendly. I recently started Ortho K treatment and I am in love with it. Dr. Cho has been super helpful with everhing in among sure my vision is perfect. I love a little car but it’s worth it.

We have KidCare and finding an eye doctor is a test of patience. Weve had terrible experiences in the past but we lucked out with DuPage Optical. Their receptionists speak English and are courteous and knowledgeable. It was easy to make an appointment and they were much more available than other offices - I called about 4 others and they were the only ones that had appointments within 4 weeks of my call. On the day of our appointments, they got us in and took of us with minimum fuss, just the required paperwork and we were good to go. Dr. Butzon was great with the kids, he had them laughing and out in no time. It takes 3 months to get our glasses but thats the norm with KidCare. We plan to return to this gem of an office.

Staff was rude , the equipment being used for eye exam was dirty. they never wiped it down between patients. doctor was rude. was rushing through the examtook over 3 weeks to get glassesI dont recommend or will i go back
