Its totally the business department of NHRMC. The Drs. Are great. I was dropped last month at the Ogden office 3 weeks BEFORE shoulder replacement surgery without warning.. I was out of blood pressure medication and blood sugar med. I had been in communication with billing on MY CHART about an outstanding balance that I felt had not been filed properly. The March statement had reduced the balance to $80.00 due March 31. When I was sent directly to the business office I was told that I had been dropped in Feb. and a certified letter had been sent to me. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY LETTER FROM THEM! I was then told I could be reinstated by paying the balance of $180.00 and that the guy on MY CHART didnt know what he was doing. I told her when hell freezes over. Ill take my chances. You do NOT drop someone that has had heart surgery, is diabetic and needs their med refilled over $80.00, $180.00 or as my next statement said $280.00 without as little as a phone call to talk in person!! Thats not health care, thats crooks.

I am very pleased with the practice and my provider is Emily, the NP! She’s very good and she has helped me a lot and I trust her judgement. I am deathly afraid of needles and she made made sure I had some juice to help me through it. Plus, she wears cool shoes.

I used to really like Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine. While the wait times were long during scheduled appointments, the customer service and medical care received was always outstanding. That being said everything changed when I moved away from North Carolina and had to pay this clinic one last visit. I needed vaccinations for my new employer out of state. I am covered through the Department of Veterans Affairs and WBFM has been my primary care provider for over a year. I was unaware that the VA had provided me with a time limit on how long I could receive care at WBFM. It turns out that two weeks prior to me getting the shots the VA authorization to receive care at WBFM had expired. The front desk lady mentioned that it was having problems going through but told me that I could continue with the appointment and assured me that I had nothing to worry about. The lady giving me my work required shots added an additional shot that was not required by my employer and had me sign paperwork stating I would be responsible for any payments if my insurance did not go through. The additional shot was estimated at over $500 alone. She ensured me that this was nothing to be concerned about since the VA would be covering all of my bills as they have always done so in the past. She told me to just sign and call the VA afterward. While it is my fault that I was unaware that the VA no longer approved of my visit, I wish that the staff at WBFM would have been clearer on the fact that the VA was refusing to cover the charges. They made it sound like everyone that received this vaccination signed this form but did not state that it was only given to me because rather than being seen as covered veteran I was being seen as an uninsured patient. Please be careful veterans! I was charged around $600 due to the fact that I trusted their staff knew what they were talking about.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I am a Registered Nurse, I say that to say that I came in knowledgeable about what I wanted as a new patient. I saw Kathryn Lomax, NP. I brought labs I had just got not too long ago from my PCP who had moved, which is why I was looking for a new provider. I asked her not to repeat labs that I had just had done as I didn’t want to pay for repeat labs. I specifically asked her what my progesterone level should be post hysterectomy and she couldn’t tell me just said they should be higher than this. I told her if I was in need of going on progesterone I would want a bio identical cream. I call a week later to check on my labs and the nurse says Kathryn said everything is great. I said my progesterone is lower than it was on my last labs and she said that was low so how is everything great. Long story short I had to get the MD at the practice involved who made me come in for more labs, then when I call to check on those they say well we can start you on progesterone if you want. Ummmm you’re the doctor that’s what I’m paying you for to tell me what I need not ask me what I want. I agreed to try progesterone and see if it helped. I go to the pharmacy and they called me in synthetic progesterone pills, basically birth control pills minus the estrogen!! I refused the pills and will never EVER return there!!! Then I get a large bill in the mail for the labs and 90% of them are ones I had just had done which I asked her not to repeat! Save your time, money, and sanity... these people are not to be trusted!!! The ONLY nice thing I can say is the front desk lady was sweet and so was the labs lady... that’s it!!!!!!

I have to admit I am blown away that anyone could rate this practice with one star. I have been a patient of Dr. Kramer’s for several years now. In my opinion he is the best physician in town. He has been right 100% of the time, it is obvious he cares about his patients, the staff is always very polite, I’ve always been greeted with a smile by Rhyllea at front.I have lived here for 17 years, had other physicians that were ok but felt they never really listened to me and rushed through to get to the next person. Dr Kramer and his NP have both listened to my concerns, addressed them, and treated them. If I ever need anything I reach them through the patient portal. They have always got back to me within a short period of time.I highly recommend Dr Kramer and his staff! You can’t go wrong!!

It’s very upsetting that I used to talk so highly about this establishment and it’s employees but now can’t find one good word to say about them. I read a few reviews on how they do not answer the phone and that is absolutely correct. The lack of communication/ follow up is astounding. Recently I had issues trying to refill my prescription of BC, which I’ve been on since I was 15 and never had an issue getting in the past. They refused to refill when I was completely out and going out of town, across the country for over a week. Medicine is not something I was to mess around with/ not take at the times when need be so it was extremely disappointing that they would not work with me to refill or even let me speak with my doctor. I requested several times to speak directly with my doctor and was refused. The whole situation took an entire day to get through and by the end I felt disrespected and shocked that they would treat their patients with the attitude they did. Will be switching.

Emily is the best FNP you could ever ask for, Ive been seen by her for over 5 years now. I recently moved to the Charlotte area but still drive just to be seen by her! The most kind and compassionate provider you could ask for. Although they dont normally answer the phone, they do call back promptly.

I can’t say enough about this practice! New to the area, we really feel fortunate to have been able to find WB Family Med. Dr. Kramer and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. They’ve cared for our family on many occasions over the past few years, including some more interesting situations/conditions. We have really grown to trust and appreciate them. 😊

I am very pleased with this Family Practice. Office staff is polite and professional. Katy Lomax, FNP, is wonderful. In fact my sister who lives in the middle of the state comes here to see Katy. I would highly recommend this practice.

I’ve never had to wait less than an hour to be seen. The nursing staff appear stressed and overwhelmed by their running around, rushing through questions and walking back into the room after forgetting a couple things. Katie Lomax however, is amazing! Shes extremely kind and seems to genuinely care about her patients.

Best family practice in Wilmington. Its a shame that someone, or something(bot) tarnishes this practice with a completely bogus 1 star review. Dr. Kramer and his staff are the best and if you are looking for a new family practice, look no further.

They have NO RESPECT for your time and will schedule you so you have to wait 30+ mins. So sick of this, will be looking for another PCM, this place continues to go down the crapper.

This office is awesome! Unfortunately felt sick starting last night, called them around 11 AM today and they saw me at 2:30 PM. Tested me for the flu - which unfortunately I have 😷 - but called me at 5:15 with my test results and had my prescription ready by 5:45 PM. Thank you so much for being so effecient today!
