Dr Smith and his staff are top notch. They are supportive, patient, and kind. They do fantastic dental work and truly care about their patients. I really appreciate all they have done for my smile.

After too many negative experiences with numerous dental workers, I am always apprehensive about having any dental work done. I brought this apprehension with me when I visited DentalWorks. I should have left it at home. The practitioners here were very open, friendly and professional. I kept waiting for the visit to turn into the usual negative experience, but it never did. I was totally satisfied and didn’t dread making my return visit. I have the brand new beautiful smile I have always dreamed of having. Every person I came into contact with in this office was beyond friendly and helpful! They made the entire process easy and pleasant, I will definitely be returning!

All options were discussed and referrals made. Shorthanded that day which is the case all over but spent close to 2 hours and got a very thorough initial with many x-rays and consulting done. All in all good experience and think fully staffed would be great experience. I plan to be back.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to the area 2 years ago and they do a great job with my biannual cleanings. The staff is also great and really friendly, which I think is important considering they are up in your grill for at least an hour!

My dental hygienist, Rochelle, is hands down the best hygienist I’ve ever had, and Dr. Smith sits down with you, listens to your concerns, explains the situation, and gives you options for your care. Every other person I’ve talked to and encountered, especially at the front desk, is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a dentist, I would definitely give Dr. Smith’s office a call!

This was such a great experience. I was educated on how to correctly maintain clean and healthy gums. They took their time and handle all my needs while I was there. They offered me services rather than forcing them on me and I felt like I had a new set of teeth after leaving their office. Great smart staff and great environment. PPE was worn all throughout the office and I felt protected from Covid-19. I can’t wait to go back.

Went for the first time today after moving to Wilmington a month ago due to pain in my mouth. They saw me immediately after I called and told them I was in pain. I had to bring my 6 year old daughter because schools are closed for COVID. The ladies up front were amazing as well as all the staff, they treated me and my daughter so well. I am super impressed!!!

I was on vacation recently when my permanent bridge just fell off. I was horrified because my bridge is on my front teeth. I found an emergency dental place called DentalWorks. I quickly saw some very good reviews, so I called. They were super friendly & had me come right in. Dr. Jim Smith & his assistant (I cant remember her name now) were extremely friendly, compassionate & professional. Dr. Jim fixed me right up in a jiffy, answered all questions, provided me with much needed information & did not overcharge me at all. In fact, I feel like I got a discount for such great service & I think they did actually. I am extremely happy with the service I received & DentalWorks will forever have a new customer no matter where I reside. This store here in Wilmington is awesome! First visit since the pandemic hit! I was impressed with the service and safeguards. Only issue was when I got to the door I was redirected back to my vehicle and had to wait for them to call me in for my appointment! Overall a good appointment!!!

Friendly and very gentle but thorough cleaning

I went in yesterday as a new patient with an abscess. The receptionist treated me with understanding, kindness and respect. Susan, the assistant, stayed with me and explained every procedure. Dr Smith was interested in my care, in my pain, and actually treated the abscess with a root canal at this initial visit. He also gave me hope for future dental care. There was no condensation, no blame, only hope for a future beautiful smile and care. The office manager was gentle, discreet and worked with me within my budget limitations. The ENTIRE staff treated me with dignity and kindness and didn’t exacerbate my fear of dental work.EVERYBODY should go here! They actually care about YOU. I’m going back. And I’m telling all my friends to go there! And who ever heard of getting a numbing injection in your mouth WITHOUT PAIN? Dr Smith can do that!!!!

Just a wonderful dental practice. Great combination of first class dentistry and a warm and friendly environment. Been a happy patient for almost ten years of great, consistent dental care. Each 6 month visit is like reconnecting with old neighbors.

This was only my second time here but this place is great. I am a huge wimp when it comes to the dentist and hadn’t been in many years. The staff are amazing and are very welcoming and comforting, making sure I wasn’t in any pain. They take the time to explain exactly what they’re doing and put your mind at ease. Can’t recommend them enough!! Pricing is great too compared to a lot of places.

Dr Smith and the team took wonderful care of me. Was traveling on vacation and they were able to squeeze me in for an emergency root canal and work with my NY insurance which was super helpful. Going to the dentist has always been hard for me. However, the staff here made my experience extremely positive. Making an appointment was effortless, every staff member greeted me and educated me about my dental health in some way. This was probably the most thorough dental examination I’ve ever had, staff were patient with me, and overall, my visit here was quick!

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Smith and his staff! No waiting upon arrival and felt relaxed and comfortable during 3 separate appointments to pull a cracked molar and replace with a 3 tooth crown. No scolding for not flossing as I should, but a thorough, caring and comforting discussion about the importance of daily- morning and night brushing and flossing. Dr Smith explained all steps and procedures of each visit in a caring, knowledgeable and thorough way and their work was completed quicker than I thought. I transferred to DentalWorks after a series of unpleasant experiences with another office. From the onset, I had an extremely positive experience: easy website to navigate; courteous front office staff; pleasant and welcoming hygienist; professional dentist; and overall a friendly office environment. I was referred to this office by a colleague and friend so I expected a great visit, but the office exceeded my expectations.

They were able to fit me in quickly for an emergency appointment. Cost was reasonable and the staff was very friendly and personable. I also have to say, 24 hrs later and I am feeling zero discomfort and wouldn’t even know I had two fillings done yesterday.

My husband has been going to DentalWorks for over a year. He had a lot of dental problems from not being able to take care of his dental hygiene due to his Parkinson’ disease and not so good with his hands in flossing and brushing his teeth. He had crowns replaced, cavities filled by Dr. Smith. Catherine is such a nice hygienist, very patient and skillful to clean his teeth. We are very happy with DentalWorks and highly recommend their practice!

I’m sure the dentists at this establishment are great but I wouldn’t know considering I couldn’t get past the rudeness of the woman at the front desk. Had a dental emergency, two front teeth broken as well as a broken nose and the woman who answered the phone was unable to even give me a possible appointment time. When I asked if there were anything available in 24 hours or within the week her only response was “I don’t think so”. Hope no one else has had to deal with this insensitive situation.

Rochelle is an outstanding hygienist. I really like Dr Smith. I saw the new Dr today and really liked him too. Hes very thorough. The staff is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Very friendly, nice, and clean. Had some major work that needed to be done, we were able get in and get it done. Also it got done way sooner than I had expected to be all done with the procedures also all healed up and back to normal. Definitely my go to dentist also both Doctors are great to work with. Not at all scared of the dentist anymore.

Everyone is so nice and very professional. All are very sensitive to how you feel. They let you know exactly what they are doing. They even look at any long range issues that May come up.

Very friendly and considerate. As with many not my favorite spot to spend anytime, but the entire staff and Dr. Smith eased any nervousness that I entered with. Especially pleased that Dr Smith did not attempt; as other dentists I’ve seen have; to tell me I needed extremely expensive and unnecessary treatments.

They are amazing. Prior to today, I havent been to the dentist since 2009. I was very nervous. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were gentle and communicated everything very clearly and transparently. They tell you the price of your visits in advance. Loved them. GO SEE THEM! Even if you havent been in a long time. Front desk lacks friendly check-in service. Two women sit with backs to you and are not friendly. At check-out the lady wouldnt even look at me or tell me when she was finished so I could leave. Medical staff was awesome and very efficient. They took the time to explain everything and calm any nerves I had about being there. Hopefully my experience with the front staff was just a bad day :(

Great customer service, the ladies did a wonderful job making me feel welcome and comfortable. Easy to book and appointment and great that they send a complimentary appointment reminder that is integrated into your phone calendar so you dont forget. Doctor was friendly enough, did his examination then moved on. Overall pleased with the facility and staff. Feedback 5/24/17: On every visit (which has been 2 to date), Dr. James Smith of DentalWorks was curt and impatient. I asked what I believe to be very important questions about a replacement filling procedure he performed a month prior which left a great deal of sensitivity to other areas of my mouth. His response was none other than condescending. Ive sense then decided enough is enough - I will move to another dental office where patients are treated with care and respect.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smith for approximately five years. I have always received the best care from him and the staff.

The team is super sweet. Im thankful to have good enough dental health Im only at the office twice a year but it is always a pleasant office visit. Ive never had to wait. They do not overbook. Rochelle is my dental hygienist and shes awesome!
