Same-day appointment for pink eye at the New Hanover Center location. I had been to 2 doctors prior for a bad case of pink eye. The doctor (I forget her name D:) was patient, listened to my experience so far, and was so thorough in her explanation towards my diagnosis. After hours spent and hundred of dollars wasted at other doctors, she had me out the door at a reasonable price and with eye drops that literally worked in a matter of minutes to relieve the pain and get me back on track. I really cannot thank you guys enough for saving my sanity! Highly, highly recommend!

Dr. Davis was amazing, made me feel very comfortable with the fact my 20/20 vision was no longer 20/20 and I would be needing glasses. With that being said I have never had glasses therefore I’ve never experienced the sales side of glasses when I sat down to go over pricing with the front of the store, Alicia, the person helping me came off extremely rude and pushy when I began asking questions about cost, and insurance. She had no answer but snippy responses, then I proceeded to look at frames and when I touched two she loudly spoke to me across the room with “can you not put them back, put them on the table to be cleaned”. Had I known I couldn’t touch them, or I would need to place them elsewhere prior to asking if I could look at the frames that wouldn’t have happened. With that being said I was a bit nervous about the cost so I politely asked if I could just get my script and be on my way. Well the pictures they took of my eyes without letting me know would cost a $39 fee and weren’t part of my routine eye exam cost that my insurance would cover was what I needed to pay. I paid and asked for the script she quickly dismissed me by saying “you do whatever you think you need to do.” I am sad I will miss out of a good doctor, but I do not support a location that will treat their customers in such a manner. How about next time be patient and understanding of what your customer is going through when they say they have never bought glasses and are a little confused, and concerned with the process along with the prices. Kindness isn’t that hard to show when people are unsure. I will not be returning to any of the MYEYEDR. Locations.

Just had an appointment with Dr Beck. He was amazing and very thorough and detail oriented which I appreciate so very much. As always, Pearl was a nice friendly, smiling face and Alicia feels like a friend helping me. So nice and friendly yet efficient, knowledgeable and easy to put my eyes in all of these hands. Had some issues getting my glasses a while ago, a mistake on their part and timing on mine, so the warranty was out when I dropped and scratched my new-to-me lenses. April answered the phone when I called and was super helpful in getting things taken care of for me. Shout out to her for going the extra mile to make things right. I really appreciate it very much! Also, love Dr. Whitesell, shes the best!

Amazing!!! They saved me over $200 on my glasses. Dr. Whitesell was fabulous and so was the rest of the staff. They were very polite, funny, and didnt make me feel like i was just another patient. Will be recommending and coming back

Brought my son to this location because hes starting his new job Tuesday so I canceled his other appointment to go to the Racine drive . They are so slow in here I only seen 1 doctor working here, and she was just running her mouth taking her time. Also they booked 3 appointments for 4:00 which dont make any sense to me if you got 1 doctor working here. We will never come back to this location again!!

I was hours away from home and my contacts ripped during my drive. I came by in hopes to get a pair of contacts as I did not pack spares. I was greeted professionally and kindly and left being able to see again! So grateful and happy that they were so easily willing to help me!

After a horrible encounter with a dr at another location. Dr. whitesell and staff worked me in last minute for a same day visit. Everyone was kind professional and understanding. The Dr took time to listen to my concerns and explain my options. Entire staff should be commended for turning around a very awful situation for me initially to a professional and enjoyable office visit. Thank you is not enough!!!

I went for my yearly eye check up and wasn’t prepared to need glasses. When the doctor escorted me back to the lobby, she informed the front staff I would need to pick out frames for my new prescription.The lady in the front acted like it was a chore for her to assist me. She started pulling frames down for me to try. None of which I liked. I asked nicely if I could just look around to see if I could find something I felt looked good on me. She rudely said fine but they’re just reading glasses. I felt very dismissed and rushed. At that point it was a very unpleasant experience and I was talked into a pair that aren’t what I would have picked otherwise. I spent almost $600 that day. However, they will not get another penny out of me. I will take my business elsewhere.

MyEyeDr on Oleander Dr. saved my beach vacation! I am a client in Raleigh, NC and when I lost my left contact on Carolina Beach, Nichole and Carmen came to the rescue! Not only did they provide excellent customer service, but were patient and understanding in providing driving directions and additional support when I arrived. I was able to replace my contact and get some great advice and products for the rest of my trip. THANK YOU Nichole and Carmen - you ladies combine high professionalism with a beach mentality - wonderful experience.

They told me it could cost me up to $115 for contact lens exam when I have insurance that covers it with a copay of $10. Went to over America’s best and was seen right way and the store had a much better selection of frame options as well

The girl who just answered the phone was extremely rude!!! Completely unnecessary, everything was chill until I informed her that I didnt want to set up an appointment for an eye exam at this moment but I did have a few questions for the future. After she heard I didnt want to make an appointment she just said okay and hung up on me mid question. I think that shows poor values, and Ill be more than happy to go somewhere else that shows more respect for others.

After calling ahead to to see if they had a specific type of frame for my 4 year old son, they let me that they did not have that frame but had ones just like them, so I went in to order. When I arrived they showed me frames that were NOTHING like the ones I had initially asked about, but being that I was already there I had him try on a few that we ended up liking and ordering. When I asked when they would be in the sales girl told me 4-6 weeks! Which I though was a bit ridiculous considering that you can go to many places and get them in an hour! But went ahead with the order and just went to Walmart to order another pair as a spare in the meantime...well it has been 8 WEEKS and this is the second time I have called to inquire in which the man that I spoke to said it would be another 2 WEEKS! This is absolutely ridiculous and I am wondering where the heck these glasses are coming from....needless to say I have cancelled my order and will NEVER go back there again.

Very displeased with the service on the sells side in the Mayfair location. Ive been going every year for 3 years but only because I didnt feel like taking the steps to change companies. This will be the last year I will be getting my prescription at Mr Eye in Mayfair.

I wish I could give them NO stars. They were aweful, today was my 1st and last time there. The front staff is rude and cant handle too many patients at once, they get overwhelmed and frustrated. At the end of my visit with the doctor and after refusing to purchase contacts through them because I found a better deal elsewhere, they refused to give me my eye prescription which I am entitled to because it is covered by my ensurance. They pulled a dirty doctors fee if I wanted to take my prescription elsewhere. I work in the media and I will make sure to spread the word EVERYWHERE I am connected to., I have pictures and receipts. I hope noone goes through this experience, no one should. If they have extra fees they want to charge they should disclose that upfront so as a customer you can make the decision to stay there or to go somewhere where they are reasonable. I hate surprise fees at the end of a visit, specially after u refuse to buy contacts through them either you buy from us or we will still make u pay with a made up charge if you want your prescription. Absolutely horrible.

The ONLY GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THAT THEY ARE CLEAN BUT THEY NEED TO HIRE SOME DIFFERENT RECEPTIONISTS BECAUSE WELL THEY ARE RUDE And JUDGEMENTAL. LEARN TO LEAVE YOUR PROBLEMS HOME PEOPLE .SHEESH.

Dont LQQK at this place for ANYTHING. Theyre rude, unprofessional, misleading and even their manager, April (whom we just spoke with in response to the Owners request to call to resolve the review immediately below mine) has no business in the business of customer service or issue resolution. I got sarcasm and defense from her and nothing much else. She wouldnt face or appropriately respond to the fact that Sue did not inform my wife of her benefits, or lack thereof, before ATTEMPING to charge and place an $155 sitting fee (after already getting the benefit of payment from insurance for her eye exam) on an invoice. Do not waste your time, your money or your patience with people who dont respect others or their money. Veer far, far away from MyEyeDr... once they realize they cant upsell you, youre dead to them.
