Being a new CNA, and the youngest one in the facility, it was definitely hard getting used to this job when I started 6 months ago. Every facility has their own issues and is understaffed, but with our new management, theyre constantly trying to make this place better &are constantly hiring new people. The residents I care for, are family to me and I treat them as so. Everyone here really does their best to care for and engage with the residents. 3 stars for- Pay is horrible for as hard as we work. 1 bath aide for everyone. Few employees and majority of agency workers are disrespectful and lazy. Often feel under appreciated with high expectations. The only reason I am staying here is for the residents.

Please bath your clients. It should be a standard of care no one has to be ask for.

I have worked here for a year and a half. Let’s be honest... nursing homes ALL have their problems. No one will ever take care of your family like you. This building has employees that have been here for 20+ years.. But it also has young, open-minded employees. This combination makes a great “open door policy” possible. Unfortunately, there are many elderly folks that need care and have ‘histories’ or no families. Meridian RHCC is home to MANY of those residents. WE ARE THEIR FAMILY!! Many of our staff members use their own money to purchase things for our residents just to put a smile on their face!I always encourage inquiring families to find a nursing home that FEELS right. Not based on looks or reviews etc... But if you FEEL like you can address a facility with concerns or questions and get a resolution, then that is the one you should use!

I would NOT put any one you care about in this nursing home. They ‘misplaced’ so many of my grandmothers personal items. Never brushed her hair to where I had to cut a matted patch out of the back of her hair. If you are looking, avoid this place at all costs.

It was the most difficult event moving my parents, but a door opened and we walked through. So very grateful for Audrey and ALL of the staff I have met! Excellent food service (3 meals and 2-3 snacks per day), they are enjoying the meals. Aids are very attentive to my folks and mentioned how much they enjoy caring for them! Nursing staff always makes themselves available whenever I call or stop by. I am confident that my parents are in the best place for them!

If I could have done 0 stars I would have. My father was in here to get stronger to go home so he could have hospice come and he could be in his home. He was very sick and weak and had bouts of dementia from ammonia on the brain which caused him to not know anything or anyone. He would basically just be a vegetable. We knew we would lose him just not as soon as we did. He was in the hospital as a FALL RISK and sometimes had to be strapped down. They gave him a wheelchair and told him to use it, on his own, no help like at the hospital. The second night he was there he fell, flat on his face and broke his nose. Ended up in a coma and died 4 days later. Last time I got to talk to him was on the phone the night before then I had to watch him slip away. Now they are coming to me to pay the bill which is $5000, ridiculous. I have no money to pay it and the way he fell I dont think I should have to pay it. We did not choose to put him here. This was a last resort. Unfortunately.

Horrible horrible horrible staff! These people not only neglect their residents but they also do not keep current up to date records, leading to them actually not having any idea what science center my mothers body was sent after she pasted away !!!!!

Honestly a lot of the Admin staff is leaving and so are all the CNAs I know who can. The administrator of the building doesnt care about the staff and refuses to even out staffing. Thinks 1 CNA and 1 nurse is enough for an entire new dementia unit theyre putting in and cuts costs wherever they can. All the CNAs I know have to chart off the clock because theyve been reprimanded by admin for staying to do charting, and while thats illegal no one wants to do anything about it because theyre scared theyll lose their job. The nurses are great but have to do CMA work and Nurse work so theyre unable to help aids with almost anything. Frankly if youre looking for a place to work Id say this isnt your best bet. I dont think its a great long term fit and you wont enjoy being treated like a disposable person. Work a double? Hours are cut anyway, so why bother? Theres not enough staff to give good customer service to patients and so the census is low.

These people need to get more organized my mom has only been there just 4 days and she looks like she got in a fight she has a fat lip a cut over her eyebrow and bruises all over her body. She suffers from dementia and Alzheimers and not one nurse to be found when visiting her. We have to clean her up every time we visit her. This place is absolutely horrible I think she needs to be removed from this horrible place.

Nurse patient ratio is ridiculous on station 2. 1nurse to 38 patients. Should I add no med aid u do 38 treatments and give meds to 38 patients. They wont staff 2 nurses on this hall. CNAs will be short staffed for this hall too. 💁‍♂️😓

This is the worst facility I have ever seen!!!!! They are unorganized and very unprofessional. The administrator is a pervert and only tries to hit on you when you are trying to address a concern. They took horrible care of my mom and she was only short term care but they applied for long term care assistance from the state after only 30 days of being there. I would not recommend this place even for an animal. PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
