Tracy went above and beyond to help me get my insurance issues taken care of. The food is amazing and staff always answer my light and take care of all of my needs. Therapy worked very hard to get me back to being independent so I can return home. I would most definitely recommend Sandpiper to anyone who is looking for a rehab.

My mom was in another facility before this one and I hated it. Tracy is an angel she bends over backwards to to make sure me and my family can give my mom the most support especially with this virus going on with the limited visitation. She moved my mother rooms just so me and my brother could see her whenever we want because we work during visitation hours and also on multiple occasions and she has used her personal cell phone to let me speak to my mom since my mom is not able to hold the phone for herself just so I could tell her I loved her and so has rhe other nurses. I really really appreciate everyone there I’ve ever spoken too is very nice I’ve only had good experiences.

You could not find a more terrible facility if you tried. The care was despicable and the management is a disgrace. The therapy was by far the most useless therapy one could get, so much so that its laughable to call it therapy. I wish I could find a positive thing to say but there just isnt anything. Find a better place than this to but your family member, it wont be hard thats for sure.

Sandpiper is overall a lovely facility. My mother in law was a patient is their short term rehab unit and she received wonderful care. The staff treated her very well. Call lights were answered timely and the food was outstanding. Dawn, the admission girl, was delightful and made us feel so welcome and answered all of our questions; probably multiple times. Kendra, Pat and Madison were her caregivers a majority of the time and were wonderful to her. She was so happy to go home but cried when she left because she was going to miss all the girls that cared for her. Thank you to all the staff that works hard to take care of the patients there. 10 out of 10 recommended!!!

VERY MINDFUL SAFE AND COVID 19 CONCIOUS!!EVERY PRECAUTION IS TAKEN!!I am younger than their average residents but they were very understanding of that.Physical therapy is second to none once you are approved to do things on your own you are more than welcome to use the equipment day or nightYou are treated as if it is your home!!!While still accomaditing and being mindful of the older residentsThe director/ social worker goes above and beyond when dealing with the needs of all residents young and old from helping with things such as social security disability making sure you have a list of every possession you have in your room and other means you may have all the way to finding you a safe place to transfer to if that is the need has no problem with you going into her office with any problem or even complaints that need to be dealt with such as staff members that are new hires they dont question if youre telling the truth if you dont meet the standard you are firedThis place does EVERYTHING to keep your loved ones safe and happy and Tracy is the leader of that definitely meet her if you are considering this facilityAs long as I wasnt bothering the older generation I was able to listen to music and they even gave me a football and allowed me to play basketball and entertain myself in the hallwayTheir are too many rockstars on the nursing/aid staff but Tabitha is a rockstar! she runs around and tries to carry her shift on her shoulders was courteous from the minute she met me and was the gold standard for how the aid /staff should be expected to performTheir activities directors are amazing and come up with some very good ideas for entertainment while making sure they accommodate the needs of people with less skills as wellI enjoyed talking to the residents as well as the staffmany of the staff went above and beyond accomadating pretty much your every issue from food issues (also the dietitian from Missouri calls you personally to discuss allergies as well as any other food need) to mental health and just making sure you are having a good morning well even just being worried if youre having a bad daythis includes seeing the staff deal with the older residents all the way to the people who did not even know where they were they show up in good mood keep a positive attitude and an understanding demeanor and tone ...I thought many times this where I would want to go when I am older when seeing how the staff (including everyone from janitors to maintenance all the way up to the nurses and directors) treated the patients of all ages!!

I went to tour the facility and I absolutely loved it! The CNAs were very helpful and answered some of my questions. The residents were doing some activities and it looks like they were having fun. The food looked delicious. When I visited the short-term rehab side I enjoyed the therapy room and liked how clean the building was. I would recommend this facility for long or short-term stays.

We transferred my mother in law back in February from another facility were we felt her needs were not being meet and staffing was sketchy. Since coming here she has had great care. The staff is very friendly, attentive and appears to be adequate. I often see the administrator out interacting with the staff, residents and families and actually knows everyones name. The facility is clean, the food looks fabulous and taste great too! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for long term placement of their loved one or they are in need of rehabilitation to return home.

I have had several family members and friends at this facility and although they are not perfect, they do a good job. When you have been to other facilities you realize how bad some places really are. Sandpiper has caring and knowledgeable staff. They have staff that has been with them for years, thats hard to find at other facilities. I think if you are realistic about what nursing homes are capable of, you will find this to be a wonderful place for your loved one.

I am disappointed to say I had a family member in this facility for a short rehab stay. I would not recommend it to anyone. The care is subpar at best. They do not answer call lights and the staff is rude. It would have been nice to have some help with her dismissal but the social service person was rude and offered no assistance. They should be ashamed of the care they provide. You can throw a stone in this town and hit a better skilled nursing facility than this!

Although I do not live at Sandpiper it is however an amazing place to work. We work hard to make sure our residents are happy and have a great home each and every day. We have lots to offer families from short term or extended stays and everything in between. No matter the length of stay our residents feel more like family.

These people neglected my aunt. She was a multiple stroke patient and was left alone to fall many times and my mom was told after asking why this was happening she has every right to fall if she wants to. Her personal items were taken and lost. Even things my parents bought for her while they visited. She was wrongly admitted as end of life because of how unresponsive she was due to being drugged. But sandpiper kept her at end of life even after coming off the drugs and coming back to herself. She needed physical therapy to help her get some mobility back but no one ever did it. Shed messed herself at one point and no one came to help her. Just all kinds of horrible things over the week or so that my parents drove out to visit her. It disgusts me that my aunt was treated that way and Im leaving this message to warn you to be wary, of this place and any nursing home. It takes a lot to be a caregiver, and clearly this place doesnt have it.

Came to visit a friend and was appalled at everything I saw. The food looked like a kids TV dinner. The staff was rude and dismissive of my friends need for help. There were other patients sitting all around looking as though none of them had been cared for in an inexcusable amount of time. The smell throughout the facility was atrocious. Needless to say I will be having a talk with my friends kids about finding some other options for his care.

My mother broke her hip and was placed here for rehab. Despite having been up and walking with a walker upon arrival, they expected her to stay in a wheelchair and in a diaper (she had need for neither) because by law the physical therapist has to see her first before she can get out of the chair. They did bring her a walker. However, the walker was super wobbly and unstable and I couldnt believe this walker was being used. Overnight, no one responded to her call at night to help her to the bathroom, so she got up by herself. Thankfully she was in good enough physical condition to do this, but should have had someone there to assist in case of a fall. During her stay no one ever helped her to the restroom. The most egregious error was when they brought her a med cup full of pills after she asked her her pain pill (which she ALWAYS had to request and was it was ALWAYS an hour after requesting). She wasnt sure why they brought so many pills so she told them she would only take the pain pill until they could tell her what the other pills were for. They fished out the pain pill and left. A bit later the (nurse? tech?) came in and asked if she had taken that pill yet and she said no, the woman said, Good. Those werent your pills. and took the pill back. THANK GOD my mom was cognizant enough to ask a question and advocate for herself.Overall she arrived on Monday for rehab and wasnt seen by a PT until Wednesday. (had they abided by the rule, she would have been wheelchair bound and diapered until then, literally going backwards from her progress at the hospital). Friday we told them we would be removing her from their care and she came home on Tuesday which was the soonest we could bust her out. No one looked at her incision until right before we left and they were concerned at that point about a possible infection (which she did not have, thanks to my SIL who is a wound care nurse and had been monitoring it even though they werent). This was a terrifying experience for me and my family because we didnt expect such a level of overall incompetence. My mom is now home with home health checking on her and doing PT and is safer. My grandmother spent two weeks in the same facility in 2016 for a broken wrist and foot injury and it was a much better experience, so much so that we allowed mom to go there! I dont know if they have changed management but something has changed since then. The staff was kind, but there were not enough of them. I know they are overworked and underpaid but management has to be accountable. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I am so disappointed in the care my friend received. The care was so bad my friend returned to the hospital with an infection that has set her back to the point that she may not recover at all. I am disgusted and appalled and the lady that runs the place is unprofessional and uncaring, when concerns are voiced to her. I will be telling everyone to avoid this facility. They do not have the care of the patients as a priority.

One of the worst places I have ever been to. I came for a tour and after hearing the administrator tell the HR person, who looked like she came to work in her pajamas, to hire anyone...even if they are a little shady. I left immediately.
