COVID hit and suddenly making appointments through this clinic became extremely difficult. We have had appointments refused because we werent wearing masks. However, for some reason, masks were never offered or provided. On top of that, Dr. IAN himself was not masked yet required patients to be masked? That day, there was a heat advisory in effect and NOBODY came out to tell us that our appointment had been CANCELED.I cannot and will not continue to bring my child to this facility after everything Ive seen.No stability in the front end either. Ive seen far too many AMAZING receptionists come and just go.If this is how you treat your patients Dr. IAN, without any empathy or willingness to work with us then youre going to have a hard time continuing to get clients.I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Well, after reading all of the horrible reviews, I still had no choice to go to this place, as these types of services are very limited in our area.Without me sharing medical information on my son, he went thru some assessments with a Doctor on staff. Some staff members were rude, others were very polite. After my insurance paid for these assessments, I was given a two page letter of the outcome.I had to go back and ask for a more detailed report on the testing that was done on my Son, so we could seek services elsewhere. Ive been waiting two weeks and was just told that if i wanted the more detailed reports, they would have to run it thru my insurance (private) again, because the Doctor would have to start working on it again? Wait how did you give me a two page report without working on it? It baffles me that insurance has to be billed again for something that already should have been completed.

Well one good thing is they are able to get my son in asap but the male receptionist is rude and wont let you talk when your explaining what you need to explain. They also dont leave voice-mails and they dont know what paperwork they need and dont need hoping it was just a crazy morning for them

Therapist tried to sell me on not doing chemo and insulted my oncologist at a major research hospital because he read some studies from Mexico and refused to listen to anything I had to say. Ignored what is best for the patient for his own ego.

My doctor is fantastic. Was kicked out because I missed two appoints over one year. The last appointment was rescheduled with out notifying me, because of a holiday so I really didn’t miss it. Tried to get back on the schedule and couldn’t get in. I spent a year establishing rapport with the doctor feels like a waste of time. Beware of the disorganization in the office and the lack of grace and empathy for other schedules. Other reviews are had the same challenges.

The woman that schedules appointments (not Kim) is extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. She is the first person you deal with and the last. This is a mental health facility! There is absolutely NO reason to treat any patient in such a poor manner. Ive decided to seek counseling elsewhere due to this individual. Mental health facilities need patient, caring, and compassionate staff.

I definitely agree with the previous ratings. Office staff lack organization &, customer service as well as condescending and rude. This is the main reason we stop our appointments there at Synchrony for my family and I have been clients of Dr. Ortiz-Nance at his old location on Demeree for years. Since they moved to its new location on Central, it has been down hill since. It is most unfortunate that such a good doctor will have to work with unprofessional front office staff . The staff cannot seem to do any simple task correctly and efficiently. Their lack of follow-up and desire to connect with clients is a bad sign for any business.

This is probably an excellent facility for some. I am seeking help elsewhere. Let me explain why. My 3 year old son is being evaluated for autism at his pediatrician’s request. We did the initial evaluation and were told that it would take at least 5 appointments before we could get any kind of diagnosis. Then they insisted that my son would have to be alone with the therapist for all of the sessions and that I would not be able to have any kind of access. I could not peek through the blinds. I could not insist that the sessions be recorded. I could not ask for an aid to be present. I could not ask for a female therapist. Because I knew a girl when I was younger who was molested by her therapist, this did not sit well with me at all. When I raised my concerns they were initially dismissed and I was told this is the law and this is how therapy works. It took over six months to get this appointment, so I wasnt eager to cancel the remaining five appointments. I brought up my concerns again at the next appointment. This time the therapist brought a senior dr in and she had several suggestions for how they could accommodate me, but they would have to be cleared by the director. I left feeling optimistic. This morning, they called to inform me they had cancelled all my appointments and that I should seek help elsewhere. They were kind enough to provide two suggestions.I called Visalia Youth Services and they were able to get me in in 2 weeks. They said they should know something pretty definitive within the first appointment, and that there were cameras everywhere but if it made me feel more comfortable I could absolutely request a female therapist or attend every session. So apparently this is not the law. I understand that every practice does things differently, but this just gives me the heeby jeebies.I understand this hard fast stance if someone is an abuse victim, or if the school or a social worker has intervened. I brought my son in. I’m trying to help him. But he’s only 3 and I’m his mother. I wouldn’t leave my child with a total stranger with no supervision with a stranger at the grocery store, the park or even church. I think it’s a little weird to expect me to do it here.Again, I think this would be a helpful clinic for someone with a different situation or with no qualms about accountability. I’m just glad I have other options.

This office is a terrible facility. Kim is unprofessional and is very rude to the patients. I have heard her talk badly about patients and her own staff. The doctors may be great, but Dr. Maria Ortiz Nance who is also the administrator is unprofessional. Dr. Jessica Langley looks up her patients home address on google to see where they live and how their homes look like and this is quite frightening considering my child used to be a patient of hers. She chose to terminate my childs services for a couple missed appts due to his illness. Dr. Maria Ortiz Nance does not care about the well-being of her patients. She, as well as the other drs and Kim have violated HIPPA laws many times. This facility needs to be audited because they are breaking HIPPA laws and they are also violating their contracts with the insurances. Please reconsider bringing yourself or your child here. They will cause more harm than good.
