I love Dr. Bortuzzo! You might not like everything she tells you but she gives it to you straight & honest. I was in waiting room for awhile but I appreciate the time she took with me. All the staff is very friendly as well.

I definitely recommend Dr. Bortuzzo. She is very direct and to the point. She takes the time to really understand you and immediately takes the steps to get you well.

I had a follow up appointment and I appreciate being able to check in online. Dr. Is always thorough, and I get in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I appreciate she always knows my history without having to start from the beginning and has recommendations for me to better my health without medication. I definitely recommend Dr. Bortuzzo

Lets be honest. No one likes the subject of colonoscopy. Dr. Bortuzzo makes the process simple, not scary, she hears you. She listens. She answers your questions. In my particular case, she explained the results of my tests and the importance of more frequent follow up testing. As long as I have to do this, I want to do it with a greT doctor. Dr. Bortuzzo checks all the boxes

The front office lady today at 2:30PM was insanely rude because she answered sounding mad which is fine, but she took it out on me. I ignored the attitude and told her I have a PPO plan and need to be seen asap as I am having bad stomach issues like bleeding, and she said she wouldnt schedule me until I have all my paperwork ready? That made no sense to me as I am a new patient and thats done in person before the appointment, but she said the Doctor wont see me unless I have them. I told her I would fill them out, but she told me they already need to be filled out?? I said nevermind and went elsewhere. 😒

Dr. Bortuzzo is very easy to talk to and straightforward. She listens to you and gives great inputs!! I highly recommend 👌!!!!

I love Dr. Bortuzzo. She’s direct and to the point. Explains things so you can understand what’s going on using visuals. She’s a very caring doctor.However, I waited over 2 hours to see the doctor and the nurses didn’t care one bit. Told me it’s always like that. I sincerely hope not. I felt bad for the doctor. She was so far behind and did her professional best. She seemed to have to do more than she could do. The nurses didn’t apologise or have any empathy. My poor 77 year old husband waited over 2 hours in the car. The temp was in the 90s. I told the nurses but again they didn’t care. There were others waiting that long, of course. And yet, the scheduling people tell you to get there 15 min early!!dr. Bortuzzo is a wonderful doctor and I won’t hesitate seeing her again.

Jesus!, Just find another doctor, this lady has a very bad temper, she my be a good doctor but she fights even with her assistant . Nope!

I am too old to be talked down to and scolded. Because I didnt see her little hand written note she got visibly angry (very odd for a professional). Yet instructions where followed as written. Another Doctor with an arrogant God complex. Extremely rude bedside manner!

I met Dr. Bortuzzo for the first time yesterday and think and felt that she will take good care of me. Our discussion revealed that I’d forgotten several older surgeries, and she’d reviewed my various medical conditions so was cautious about my preparation before the colonoscopy, which I appreciated. I definitely recommend her and am glad that she’s practicing in Tucson.Be aware that you may have a long wait once you’ve checked in.

Staff was kind, the wait wasn’t long, and the doctor was thorough, listened to my concerns, and took my preferences into account.

Dr Bortuzzo was great. The wait time is crazy. 2 hour wait time for any Dr implies there is a major problem with scheduling.

Very efficient and straight shooter. All the surgery support staff said she takes her time to make sure she does the best possible. Even though colonoscopies arent fun, I am looking forward to seeing her for my next appointment!

Dr. Bortuzzo is wonderful -- she provided me with the utmost professionalism and care. Dr. Bortuzzo is dynamic, thorough and kind in every way. She will answer your questions and concerns in a way which you will understand and appreciate. I truly recommend Dr. Bortuzzo. I also appreciated her dedicated staff members as they were all helpful and concerned in every way.

Update: I think its important to note that Dr. Bortuzzo either gets a 1 star or a 5 star rating. I urge anyone who is looking for facts to go to the Vitals and Healthgrade websites to read detailed accounts of patients experiences with Dr. Bortuzzo. The only experience I had was that she didnt show up and that I didnt matter but once you read real accounts, you can see what kind of care she provides. Interestingly, a 1 star review is often followed up right away with a 5 star non-descript review. saying that she is a straight shooter or tells it like it is.Colon cancer runs in my family so it is very important that I be checked regularly. My primary care physician put in the order for me to have a colonoscopy. It took me 2.5 months to get an appointment with Dr. Bortuzzo, to first have a meet and greet so that she could determine if I was ok to have a colonoscopy. They sent me 3 text messages and 2 email reminders to confirm my appointment and to make sure I would be there. I responded to all reminders saying I would be there. They also phoned me to ask if I would be there but also informed me that since Dr. Bortuzzo was a specialist she would be late. I said that maybe I should come later, but they said no. It seemed very strange and unprofessional. Long story short - I showed up for my appointment on time and the receptionist looked mortified as she told me that Dr. Bortuzzo had just phoned to say she was at the dentist...really? There were other patients waiting as well. Unprofessional, Arrogant and Uncaring! Run!

She is a condescending, rude , old bat. If you pay someone to help you, they should treat and talk to you like a professional.
