Dr. Merchant is a perpetual 10 with me and my wife, having had 8-1/2years of experience with my sad dental history. The latest example was when I chipped a filling in a front tooth she warned me that it might not hold. One call this morning, and despite her busy schedule I was in within 2 hours. She would have given me a proper crown but for my own filled schedule today and the rest of the week. When I return the work gets done. She has an abiding sense of serving her patients, and this explains the modernity of her equipment. This translates to quick and accurate architecture of the new crowns. In experience with my last dentist, the procedure was sometimes agonizingly hit-and-miss. Ive not seen a single error in all my years in her care. She works with assistants as evenly as you would hope your airline crew does prior to take-off!

Dr. Merchant is always thorough and spends time talking with you. Great dental work and the rest of the staff is excellent as well. Very reasonable prices for work that is not covered by insurance. Highly recommend this dental office.

I recently got my teeth cleaned with Dr. Merchant. The experience was great! This was the most thorough dental visit Ive ever had. The office manager, Kathi, was very efficient and kind to work with, both in setting up my initial appointment and planning a future visit. Dulce got me set up and even checked my blood pressure. She then took not only X-rays but also photos of my teeth. Later, Dr. Merchant used these images in conjunction with the X-rays to explain my oral health in way that I easily understood. This is especially helpful if you are a visual learner. Then Stephanie, the hygienist, cleaned my teeth. She is an expert in her craft. I never felt pain or discomfort. Also, she didnt bang any of the instruments against my teeth which was a big blessing. Dr. Merchant and staff are professional, efficient, and friendly and I will definitely be going back again!

I just recently changed dentists to Dr. Merchant. I am very impressed and thankful I finally found a dentist that is pleasant, thorough, honest , caring and professional. She explains things thoroughly before any work that needs done and even during the procedure. Shell answer any questions you have at any time. My initial exam and cleaning was the most thorough Ive ever had. I am 66 yrs old and have moved around a lot, so I have seen a number of dentists over the years. The office staff is just as wonderful. At the front desk youll find Kathi, a very pleasant and efficient greeter as you enter and will professionally check you in and handle any insurance issues you may have. She has a black belt when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. Stephanie is the hygienist. She does a very thorough and comfortable cleaning. I enjoyed chatting with her while there. Dulce and Desiree are Dr. Merchants assistants, and they are just as pleasant as the rest of the staff. Going to the dentist is far from my favorite thing to do, but with Dr. Merchant and her wonderful staff it will be a more pleasant experience than I have had in the past.

My husband and I have been quite happy with Dr. Merchant. She is very open with her patients about whats going on, what needs to be done, and what may need to be done at some point in the future, but is not urgent now.After our initial exam and cleaning (she does the cleaning herself), she scheduled a free consultation and spent half an hour talking with each of us about what may need to be done. For me, it was nothing! For my husband, she explained that his silver amalgam fillings do not wear at the same rate as a tooth, so the tooth tends to wear around them and cause decay under the filling. She recommended that a few be replaced immediately, and that a few others will be fine for several more years.She was very friendly and treated us more like friends than patients. I was so impressed that I will be coming to her as long as I live in Tucson.

Ive been going to Dr. Merchant for well over a year now and have been extremely pleased with both Dr. Merchant and her office staff. Having Dr. Merchant as my dentist is the most pleasant journey you will have.Dr. Merchant is very honest, and her staff are very helpful and caring.It took me a long time to fine a dentist that is caring and concern about your well-being.

Here is the gist of it:-Dr. Merchant charges more than twice what any other Dentist charges for fillings. To make matters worse, I was told my out of pocket after Insurance amount would be $53 which I paid while at their office. In the end, they sent me another bill telling me with no other explanation that I owed an additional $170.-Dr. Merchant does not acknowledge customer concerns or complaints when detailed for her. She obviously cares more about money than her patients concerns.-Dr., Merchants office personnel are both unprofessional and incompetent. They were unable to accomplish simple tasks like 1) Fax X-rays to specialists in a timely manner 2) Billing.The administrative staff makes no apologies for the incompetencys, they just demand you pay the bill even though its more than 3 times the original amount.-Dr. Merchant isnt well rounded. She isnt capable of doing a root canal in-house. She is my first dentist who could not perform a root canal.I would not recommend Dr. Merchant to anyone ever.
