This was my 1st visit.Pros: tech who did my cleaning was very nice and the cleaning was as expected .Staff is friendly.CONS: When I gave them my insurance info to the receptionist she appeared clueless on my coverage. I have never paid for a cleaning I have 3 cleanings a year from BCBS and 3 from MetLife.I get billed $224 to my home for a cleaning and as expected when I called my insurance they never submitted the request.I have called several times over the last couple days and no answer.Will give them another chance to rectify theses issues and will update my review in the future but for now its a bad 1st impression.Update- apparently they read my post and stated that they have billed my insurance. They also answered my call on 1st attempt.. Will adjust rating from 2 stars to 4.

Im a long term patient at WFD and cant say enough about the entire office and dental staffs professionalism, warmth, and friendliness. Dr Russell is extremely meticulous in his work and strives to make his patients comfortable and informed when proposing or performing all levels of dental procedures. He is very hands on and takes time with each patient, not just in and out.The office is efficiently run and always available for questions and scheduling. Before sitting in Dr Russells chair I was terrified of dentist. It had been years since I had had dental work done in my mouth I was truly scared. He explained his procedure he explained about sedation and basically about being pain-free which was hard to believe.Well Dr Russell you made a believer out of me and today I walked out of there with tears of joy and happiness. I had made a promise to myself to take better care of my teeth and this office made it possible. Everyone in his office from the wonderful receptionist to the dental assistants you are cared for in this office . His staff is awesome and they really do care about you. First time going to Woodmont. Had to have 2 root canals done and in two weeks the permant crowns. I liked the staff and thought they did a great job. Took about.1 1/2 hours and the first part done.

Today was my first appointment and it went smoothly. I have always been hesitant when going to the dentist, however David and the entire staff was professional, friendly and made me feel comfortable. They clearly explained the treatment that I needed and the associated cost without any pressure. The procedures they performed were done in consideration of my low pain tolerance & anxiety.. I suffer from severe panic attacks when I go to the dentist and this office staff is always so understanding and meaningful. They do everything to work with stress and anxiety. They are amazing.

I went here back in 2019 for a routine cleaning and consultation they told me that I have gum disease and I ended up paying over $500 with insurance for the deep cleaning. I was told that because I have gum disease I would never be able to get a free cleaning because free cleanings are preventive care and my teeth were past preventative care. They also filled cavities for me that I also paid for but they were still VERY sensitive after they were done and I thought the sensitivity would go away. Fast forward a year later, my teeth that were filled by Woodmont are still extremely sensitive, I go to a new dentist who told me that I did not need a deep cleaning, did my routine cleaning for free, and told me that I have 3 large cavities. I just got these cavities filled by Woodmont a year ago and paid for them. Idk what happened but I do not recommend this establishment nor will I return.

Very friendly atmosphere. David the hygienist is so friendly & very gentle. He listens patiently to your concerns and answers all your questions. Hes extremely knowledgeable and never pushy. I know hell be honest. His wife who works there too is also a hygienist and she is just as wonderful. Doc Russell is also fantastic....not pushy. They tell you the facts & give you options /suggestions. I would recommend them.

I will never go back!! I made an appointment for a cleaning. Spent over an hour taking x-rays and talking to the dental hygienist, dentist, and the payment coordinator for future appointments. After I was done speaking to the payment coordinator, the dental hygienist came back in the room, put her chair back, handed me my purse, and told me to have a great day. I was so confused by this because I specifically came for a cleaning. I looked at the dental hygienist and said, Im scheduled for a cleaning. The dental hygienist told me due to me needing a deep cleaning she will not perform a regular cleaning. This is extremely upsetting to me when I made it very clear over the phone that I live in Jupiter and I made my appointment with the intentions of getting my teeth cleaned. Ive never been to a dentist office where they turn you down for a regular cleaning because they recommend you get a deep cleaning instead. Not everybody has the time or can afford to spend over $500 for a deep cleaning and thats with insurance. Back in 2015, this place was great. But since being under new management and a different dentist, this place has gone downhill. Even the receptionist is rude! Apparently the way they deal with patients, is by giving them a smug look and asking me, So what do you want to do then? Horrible establishment. The dentist wonders why patients dont return. Thats a true statement from the dentist.

I originally scheduled an appointment as a new patient as I needed a routine cleaning done, when I was there I was told I needed a deep cleaning and that they couldnt do my regular cleaning. So I made appointment for the deep cleaning and was going back regularly however every time I went they were overcharging me even after verifying my insurance benefits. The last time when I called about this, they were very rude to me as I was questioning why my invoice that was given to me at the office did not match the charges being submitted to the insurance. After her continuous attitude I advised her to cancel all my future appointments and refund me my money (almost $40 this time). It has been 7 weeks and still no money so I called back and again a nasty attitude and was told there was no request put in for a refund...really, you overcharged me and it is your duty to refund me, I should have to request one, which by the way I did your staff is just refusing to send me my refund. I am in the process of contacting the insurance commission since this office does not want to refund my money

The assessments and exams are so high tech and informational that I can actually see what’s going on in my mouth unlike before. I attempted to switch to Woodmont Family Dentistry because of their location. I Went to this office for a simple cleaning with my usual zero $ co-pay. They were all pleasant and courteous as they explained that instead, I needed over $800 in Deep Cleaning and over $1000 in extensive dental work. Good thing I went back to my old dentist for a 2nd opinion AND to make sure, she sent me to an Endodontic Specialist - BOTH agreed that I needed ABSOLUTELY NO dental work done right now. Had I listened to the people at Woodmont Dentistry, I would have wasted a ton of money.

Very bad service, you will regret doing any procedure there. Poor explanation of cost and very poor dental work. I went to this office for a cleaning they told me I needed 5 fillings and that my insurance was gonna pay for two. They gave me a bill for a little over $500 and I paid 50% on a payment arrangement to pay the other half in a month. When that month came my card was charged for the remaining 50%. Two months after I get a bill from Woodmount Family dentistry that I owe them $313 because my insurance only covered a partial amount of the cost and they didn’t tell me that so I could choose what I could afford at the time. This is all because they wanted me to go though with the procedure no one informed me of that. That is deceitful in order to make money On top of that I made numerous phone calls to them because 3mths after I am still sensitive in that area where the fillings were done. I wasn’t even given an apology for the bad service..... I Will be going to a different dentist. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau!

Dr Jean Russell is the best dentist I have ever had. I am 73 years old and have not taken the best care of my own mouth. Dr Russell can do all aspects of dentistry. From root canals to fillings. He and his whole staff is very personal and all of them care for your mouth like your mother would. I would highly recommend Woodmont Family Dentistry as the BEST in South Florida.

2nd Checkup CleaningYr.—2021 Front desk employees were friendly and greeted me when I entered the office waiting room. I showed up on time about 5 minutes before appt. I only waited about 10 minutes in the waiting room and then I was taken back to checkup room. Went to them for a cleaning and had a cavity. I didn’t get any treatment because they tried to give me a gingivitis cleaning instead of my normal cleaning. They also tried to do a root canal with a crown over a cavity that only needed a filling. After questioning both, the doctor consulted me to do both which would cost me $800 out of pocket and charging my insurance around $3000 for everything. I went to another dentist because I knew what they were trying to have me do was not needed to which I was correct. I only needed a filling and a normal cleaning. Not only is it fraudulent, but this place was trying to commit insurance fraud. I’m not too sure if they have missed diagnosed other patients and over charge them, but that’s very unprofessional. Speaking up about this type of stuff allows people to step forward with similar concerns, to which I know someone personally who stated the same thing for this office. The staff was very sweet and building was clean, but you guys cannot do this to people.

I have been going to this dentist for over 10 years. At my second to last appointment, they told me to come back in 2 hours because I was late to my appointment. No problem, I came back and they told me the hygienist left and I need to come back another day.So I came back another day and got my cleaning. After that they tried to charge me for 2 cleanings, instead of the one.I called and explained what happened, but they did not believe me and treated me inappropriately.Now I am in collections for a cleaning I never had.Thanks

I have been going to Woodmont Dentistry for years and have referred a lot of people to them. Unfortunately yesterday I had an appointment to have my cleaning and upon arrival I was given a new hygienist. During the visit she told me that she could not do my bi-yearly cleaning and let me know that I needed a deep cleaning. I let her know that I would make an appointment for the deep cleaning in January but wanted to get my regular cleaning as scheduled. She refused which now meant that even though I actually came for my cleaning my rights as a patient were taking away because she refused to do what I asked. I asked to see the dentist and she told me he was not in. I became very upset and left. I am sorry for myself that I need to find a new dentist now and lost my cleaning for the year being it’s December and I’m running out of time. The majority of the staff at Woodmont are wonderful though

It is impossible for all these reviews on here to be real. I went in for their $45 cleaning and x-rays they came back telling me I needed so much more stuff. Somethings seem funny so I told him I would come back the dentist then came in and was really pushy about trying to make me do it I told him I was not interested and I would be back if I was I went to another dentist and the dentist said my teeth were perfect don’t let these people make you pay extra money for problems your teeth really don’t have. This place should be shut down and out of business

I originally chose this dental location because it was close to my neighborhood that I reside in. I have stuck with that location for many years. They are attentive with both adults and kids. In the past several years there was a transition in partnership and the new team is very courteous and helpful with whatever the individual need of the patient is at the moment. They have become very organized and detailed oriented. Usually people will have a little bit of anxiety with going to their visits but by the time you leave they usually make you laugh about something in general and try to ease whatever discomfort you may be having. I would rate the Woodmont Family Dentistry with 5 stars.

The dentist makes me really nervous but everyone here made me feel so at ease! From the receptionist to the dental assistant to the doctor. They were so friendly and reassuring (I was sure I would be judged because it’s been a while since I’ve been to the dentist).Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, Lanisha, the receptionist, proved me wrong. After varifying my (old/wrong) insurance, she discovered that I am actually covered and I couldn’t have been more relieved. I can’t wait to experience the progress with my new dentist family.

The staff is great. Dr. Russell is welcoming and friendly. I had a cleaning, and two crowns put in, spending about $1500 out of pocket (after insurance). This was last year, and I still experience pain underneath my crowns, to the point where I do not chew on the side where they were placed. I recommended my fiancé to come here, and hes had the same issue of chronic pain AFTER his procedure (a root canal). I would not recommend having anything more intensive than a cleaning here. Update: my husbands root canal apparently wasnt needed in the first place. On top of that, the crown files used to clean the pulp of the tooth were not properly placed, nor was the tooth properly sealed. The treatment shouldve been completed by an endodontist, instead of being recommended then done incorrectly.

There is not enough great things I can say about this amazing office. Every interaction with the staff will make you feel like family. Andrea always goes above and beyond to welcome you to the practice. She remembers every patient by name and makes you feel like the most special patient in the practice. Lindsay and David are both super gentle hygienists who will always keep you laughing throughout the appointment. I absolutely love Dr. Russell! Not only is he a wonderful Dentist but is also extremely personable. He will make you feel relaxed and at ease during your appointment. I am so happy that i have found this office and actually look forward to going to the dentist now.

They tell you that you need services that you don’t need. Felt like I was at a dealership instead of a healthcare facility. They give you one quote and charge you more once they realize you have “good” insurance. UNETHICAL!

I love Woodmont! Dr. Russell and his team are all outstanding and the provide a patient experience that is second to none. Theyre very up front about diagnosing and care plans and really have a way of putting nervous patients like me at ease. Each person I came in contact with was enthusiastic and very helpful from Andrea and Lanisha at the front desk, to Lindsay the hygienist and Andrea the assistant. An excellent all around office! Going to the dentist is never really fun, but this group makes it a really positive experience!
