Dr Mandava was recommended to us for my husband by an optometrist is Ridgefield. This was our 2nd visit with him. Not only was he patient, knowledgeable, a great listener, but the process from the moment we walked in until we saw him, every person we encountered for the various testing was so organized, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We didn’t feel rushed at all! At the end of our visit, Dr M suggested that we see the specialist is Ridgefield as it was closer to our home. We asked if Greenwhich Opthamology had a specialist there. Thought my special needs son could wait 2.5 months for cataract surgery although it was determined at initial visit he was considered legally blind. Brought my son to another eye surgeon who did emergency surgery 72 hrs later. Disgusted by the whole experience!

I am in my 50s and was recently diagnosed with a cataract in my left eye. My vision was getting so bad that it was affecting many areas in my life, especially driving, not to mention how scary it is to lose your vision in one of your eyes. A friend gave an extremely good recommendation for Dr. Mandava, saying that she would put her life in his hands. After going through an operation that has restored my vision, I must say that I must echo that praise.For me, this situation gave me great anxiety, with all of the decisions that needed to be made, and not knowing which way was the right course.
