Had them install a brand new new tie rod and drag link and THEY NEVER GREASED THE BOOTS.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Greasing the boots is common knowledge for any experienced mechanic. Would have taken literally 5 minutes and costs the shop less than $1.

I had a FANTASTIC experience with Isaac and his team, who were extremely accommodating, efficient and professional. After calling at 8am with a broken exhaust pipe, Isaac told me to come in and saw me immediately. He quickly diagnosed the problem, found the replacement part and installed it -i was on the road again by 1pm.While the work was quality and my car is running perfectly, the best part of the experience was that Isaac and his team have a real understanding of customer service. Knowing I was stranded without a car and needing to get back home to work, Isaac had one of his employees drop me off. I drove straight up to Stamford Auto Repair and found Isaac in the office. I asked him if he could take a look and help me. Isaac got working on it immediately and systematically removed the latch (which wasnt easy). I was then able to open the tail gate....saving my weekend clean up schedule.Issac then offered to order a new latch and install it...the part arrived a few days later and they quickly installed it.This place has fantastic customer service and the men and women here do great work, at a reasonable price. I was looking to have my tires rotated and oil changed. I had not been happy with the service that I had received at another location. Isaac was insanely professional and extremely friendly. He didnt just treat me as another service walking into his location. He took the time to ask questions and learn about me. As they were working on my car, he kept calling me to keep me updated on what they were doing and making sure I was good with what they were doing before moving forward. I had a wheel alignment completed by Isaac and his Team. They were able to quickly see me on a Saturday with no appointment and quickly performed the work within an hour. They also tightened my lugs after I had concerns from a tire install by Town Fair. The shop is very nice, clean, and conveniently located on East Main Street. I was happy to find Stamford Auto Repair after looking on google for an alignment shop.

Pros: This Place z nice for auto repair. Isaac z very much knowledgeable, Professional & On-time. He showed me & made me understand my brake problem. I got changed my car front brake pad, flushed break fluid & made rear brake cleaning within 1hr.Cons: A bit overpriced. As per the standard cost the whole process could’ve easily been done at around $320. But, actually it cost me much more to do the stuffs.

These guys are fantastic. I went in with an emergency problem, they down tools and immediately helped me get it sorted. They are incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive. When it came time to pay for the repair, they charged me fairly considering the trouble I was in when I arrived.

They understand COVID-19 and all wear masks, gloves, cleaned my car before and after. Top Notch - totally recommend! AMAZING JOB!! I have to say, these guys were incredible. My car was terribly damaged from a construction truck backing into my drivers door. These guys were able to call me a tow truck to get my car and bring it to their shop in such a fast time. Isaac was professional and explained everything to me and was able to get my car door repaired and made my car look brand new ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

This place is fraud! They said my warranty declined their estimate and that I would be liable for diagnostics performed, I agreed, but when I asked for an itemized estimate or work performed (that I am paying for) hey declined to provide one. Called the warranty, they said the prices for parts and labor estimate at this shop were inflated 4X the norm. I declined to pay anything until I get an estimate and something detailing work performed while they had the car (seems reasonable to ask in writing what was done and what the diagnosis was) to which I was met with then you are not getting your car.. after I called police the shop insisted that I just take the car and not pay anything, without, again, any explanation what was done to the car if anything.Fraud! Fraud! Fraud!Ask them for itemized estimate and compare to any other estimate in town.

I brought my car in thinking I needed my struts and wheel bearings replaced and after taking a look they told me everything checked out and I did not need any repairs. I have also had my oil change and my tires plugged several times here. The work is always done quickly and at a fair price. If you need any work done I highly recommend Stamford Auto Repair.

Originally I thought that I could go to anywhere for a car diagnostic and replacing a headlight bulb but I was wrong. Stamford Auto Repair is highly overpriced. For a replacing a headlight bulb and running a diagnostic I was charged an insane price. The bulb itself was over priced and the diagnostic which is a quick task was charged as an hour of labor. I would recommend going elsewhere.

I have come to Stamford Auto Repair to service my vehicles since January of 2015. They made me feel very comfortable ,so not only I serviced my car but had an upgrade of the rear and front lights for my 2007 Audi a4 at the time.Since I trusted them after my first experience, I decided to bring my wife and sons cars for servicing. A month ago I have the 4 tires of my wifes car replaced with alignment and balance included in the price. I know I could have gone to Firestone and get it done, but trusting these people with the work they do is everything to me.Right now I own a 2014 AUDI A4. They service it, do tire rotation and fluid replacement. Again trust is everything to me and so far they have delivered with their job performance and knowledge of foreign vehicles.About two moths a go, I met David, the business manager. He is a complete gentleman, very knowledgeable of foreign vehicles, but most of all his integrity shines the most. Just took my Alfa Romeo Giulia in for 4 new tires, breaks, rotors and an oil change and couldnt be happier! They did all the work in one day, stayed a half hour later so I could pick it up after work, and to top it off the car was washed and detailed. Long overdue review: I found Isaac through yelp a few years ago when I had an Mercedes ML350 that had a ton of oil and engine issues. After a horrible car buying experience, I was worried about going through another bad experience trying to get the car fixed. Glad I found Isaac! He is an HONEST and very knowledgeable mechanic who will give you an honest opinion on whether or not it is worth spending the money to fix a car. In my case, he advised me that it was not worth spending thousands to fix the used ML350. I had purchased someone else’s problems and had to trade it. I had since recommended him to family and friends and all have been really happy with his services and honesty. Most recently he saved me from spending $$$ on a new engine! He is my go-to Mechanic and I have him on speed dial for any car issues.

I brought my lightweight race wheels and tires over to get mounted & balanced since they use state-of-the-art Hunter balancers (the wheels can be finicky). My car desperately needed a wheel alignment due to a flat I got a few months ago. I gave up going to the dealership because they always find a way to make you spend money and when I went to a local Mavis, they tried to tell me I needed other parts fixed and could not do the alignment. I decided to get a second opinion and researched repair shops in Stamford as I am fairly new to living in the area. I called Stamford Auto Repair and spoke to Dave. Dave listened to me and asked me questions to help me understand if an alignment was what I truly needed. He took me first thing the next morning and they were able to do the alignment for me right away. Dave showed me before and after pictures of how far off my alignment was and explained to me how it was fixed. I dont know much about cars so it was so nice for him to take time and explain to me. I told him eventually I will need new tires and he said to call him whenever Im ready to do so. No pressure at all. Dave and his guys were great and I will definitely go back!

I recently moved to Connecticut and was worried about finding a reputable mechanic for my car. The car gods threw me into finding one when my car was having transmission issues. Enter David and crew at Stamford Auto Repair. I was able to drop my car off before heading in to work and told David what I was experiencing. He took time to listen and asked a few more questions before going to work.I received a call a few hours later stating the diagnostic had been run and I had a couple of bad cylinders. He walked me through the labor portion and then was given the go ahead to fix my car. The parts had to be ordered overnight but I had my car back, in great operating condition by the next day.David and his team were so easy to work with, got everything done in a timely fashion and I never felt that I was being bulldozed into doing repairs that weren’t needed. I will be bringing my car back here for All simple maintenance as well as any future major repairs.

Real good work done, and very open and transparent about the repairs which are required. Complete opposite of the hank mays approach where you can rest assured theyll find 2-3 things you can also repair each time you go in for something as simple as an oil change. Trusting a car mechanic is difficult on multiple levels. This comes from experience of owning a Mini Cooper and then a BMW, which required multiple after warranty repairs before I moved to Stamford. Other car repair shops (dealerships included) always made me doubt if I had been taken for a ride. NOT the case at Stamford auto. Wish I had known David and Isaac earlier. Straight shooters, more than reasonable price, always on time and more importantly, its easy to see their honesty and earnestness in serving customers. The absolute best! The staff was attentive, help explain all the documentation that was needed for the service and emissions, they did not leave any info out. Long story short car past emissions running fine everything back to the way i got it but better. Looking to doing future business with them. Laterzz
