My first visit to Stein was my first visit to the dentist since Covid. The entire operation from scheduling an appointment, filling out forms, checking in, the waiting area, the cleaning, the consult with Dr. Stein - to scheduling a follow up was seamless and actually pretty enjoyable. I was telling people about my great dentist appointment all day at work…it was just a good and unique experience at the dentist. 5/5 would recommend.

I had not been to a dentist in an embarrassingly long amount of time. Stein took me in and took first class care of me from the very first day! I knew I was with the right dentistry from that day on. The fact that I drive an hour and a half to get to The Stein Dental Group oughta tell you all you need to know. All is as it should be. Courteous, friendly, clean, skilled. And they take my insurance.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I needed a root canal and Dr. Fong did an amazing job. He was very nice and informative. He provided excellent service and I will be coming here for all my future dental needs!

My family & I have been clients with Dr Stein for many years and overall the practice and office has been very helpful financially and kind, as well as making it very clear to us that they do prioritize building long lasting relationships with their patients (which is why my family chose to stay for so long!) My orthodontic experience in the building with Dr. Crew was also great with my braces!Overall, my family and I have had great experiences and relationships with the Stein staff over many many years, and they are very very willing to help any client find which dentist works best for them within the practice. Dr. Stein is extremely caring of my family and I as a patient, so I have absolutely no complaints on that end. My only suggestion for newer clients interested in this dentist is to speak with dr Stein or others in the practice to discover which dentist in the Stein practice will work best with you because it really can make such a difference!

So far everything has been good, no complaints about the orthodontia service. But lately I have been kind of abandoned by the team. Last time I was there, I was not asked to schedule another appointment for my son, and he went 10 weeks without seeing the orthodontist. I left a voice mail 2 weeks ago and it was not returned. So I called again & asked for an update and was told to come in. Its just a bit odd that the patient tracking system does not flag when patients are not scheduled for another visit, nor does it flat a patient who has not been in for several weeks. The orthodontia is great and I would recommend Stein Dental, but until the systems are updated/upgraded, it means you have to stay on top of your/your kids treatments yourself.

I have been a client of The Stein Dental Group for some time now and I can’t say enough good things about the entire team! Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and running on or close to schedule. The practice is always accommodating to my difficult work schedule, and Tiffany gave me a great cleaning and was very informative. Ive been a patient of Dr. Stein for 20 years!! I trust Dr. Steins judgement with what work is needed from high to low priority. Theyll work with you to maximize your insurance, make sure youll feel comfortable with what work is needed, will answer all your questions politely and professionally, and make it as painless as possible. Ive had 2 or 3 root canals, 2 wisdom teeth pulled, and other assorted work performed by the dentists there and I barely felt any pain during the procedures. They hold themselves to a high standard of work, care, and professionalism which I expect and demand from them (I say demand very kindly 😁)Ive been very satisfied with The Stein Dental Group and the work theyve done and do and I highly recommend them should you be in need of a dentist.

Finding dental professionals that you can trust and want to stick with is difficult. I couldn’t be more pleased with the all the professional and support staff at The Stein Dental Group. As a Registered Nurse I know that health is number one. Finding a provider you trust with expertise who is also personable can be hard to find. Not at the Stein Dental Group!! I have been a patient there now for many years and I can not thank them enough. From the moment I am greeted at the door I feel like I am a priority and that they care. I have had a number of different procedures there and each one of them has been a great success. A special shout out to Dr. Allaeb and Shalinique for being an awesome team and helping me face a problematic area of my mouth that I have put off now for awhile. The procedure is still in the process but I have great confidence that I will be nothing but satisfied with the end result. They have walked me thru every step of the way and I truly appreciate them for it.

Stephanie was my hygienist today. She was FAB! I got my braces removed at a different practice last month and my ortho left a bunch of cement residue in my teeth. No wonder why I felt my bite was all off all these days! Anyways, I was due for cleaning for this year and I decided to change my practice to this group. Stephanie was patient, heard my concerns, identified and scraped each of my tooth off of residue and brushed each tooth so perfectly. Mind you, she is also full of energy and funny! I have been playing with my teeth with my tongue from the time I got the cleaning done lol! So clean! Also, Dr. Soni is the first dentist ever who touch my mouth and looked at each tooth to see if I needed more care. Overall, I had a very good experience. I never walked out so HAPPY!

Warm, comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Reception and exam rooms are spotless and conform to all COVID-19 preventive measures. Dr. Stein is engaging and involves the patient in their care, presenting options, pros and cons of different procedures, but ultimately letting the patient guide their course of treatment. Ive had four caps and one crown installed, and all fit perfectly and are comfortable. My family has been cared for by The Stein Dental Group for close to twenty years, and the team is very committed and focused on keeping their patients teeth healthy.

My experience with Stein Dental Group has always been a welcoming and great experience. I came for my braces appointment to be re-tighten and Shalinique was amazing. Dr. Crew and her crew have been incredible from day one. I have a very erratic work schedule and she always makes time for me. She is extremely meticulous in her craft. Ive noticed over time she continues until perfection is reached. That being said. My smile is turning out even better than I imagined it could ever look. Only 20 more days until the braces come off! I had a failed wisdom tooth surgery here last year and my mouth/body has never been the same since. They were horribly neglectful and awful to me throughout the whole process. It was right at the start of the lock down so they ignored my pleas for help because they were worried about me coming in. They didn’t give me proper instructions on how to care for my wounds and they ignored me when I was in unfathomable pain. I was terrified I was literally going to die because of their neglect.A few days my surgery, I felt something was very, very, wrong. I called dr steins office and told them I was in the worst pain of my life and ask if they could help. They told me “it’s part of the healing process, you’re fine”. They belittled me and made me feel like I was annoying them. I called every day for 2 weeks in the worst pain of my life, unable to eat or sleep, begging for help every day. They clearly were scared of having any one come in during the lock down so they belittled me and ignored me. They would tell me there was nothing they could do to help me and that what I was experiencing was normal even though I knew it wasn’t. I was in such bad pain I literally thought I might jump out a window. After two agonizing weeks of me calling every day begging for help, they finally called me in to look at me. Turns out, they forgot to give me the proper instructions on how to clean my wound and I got infected, which is why I was in such bad pain. As soon as they cleaned out my wound properly, the constant horrible pain went away and I could function. The pain was so horrific but if they just listened to me when I was calling for help, all of it could have been avoided. I was quite literally on the brink of suicide because the pain was so bad, calling every day begging for help only to be ignored. Because of their neglect, a lump formed in my chin that they told me I might have to have surgery on. They told me I would be healing for another 6 months, and this was supposed to be a 2 week healing process. Needless to say, I lost my job because of the time I had to take off to heal from this failed surgery.My entire mouth/body is still messed up and my mouth doesn’t work the same way it did before the surgery.Dr Stein has been deleting my reviews and leaving me nasty voicemails but everyone should know what kind of care they are going to get if they come here. Stay safe everyone!

Tiffany was very gentle and thorough during the cleaning, and very good about teaching and discussing better oral care techniques to be gentler on the gums.I was worried that Id need some expensive and painful dental work, but I was assured that, for the moment, Im just brushing too hard and should switch to a non whitening toothpaste.I would say that the reason that I gave this group such a high rating is that they were friendly, thorough, and didnt try to upsell me on expensive work that I dont need. After some high pressure sales experiences in other practices, I really appreciate that these people seem to value transparency and objectivity in their work.My impression from my first visit is that they only recommend work that is necessary.

I went to Stein Dental Group for a cleaning. Everything went well as expected. The cleaning seemed thorough to me. After the appointment a colleague of Dr Stein took a quick look.

The staff here are helpful and friendly, them trying to make you feel as comfortable as possible through out whatever type appointment you have. The work done is meticulously and they constantly check up with you to see if what they’ve done is to your liking.

At age 55, I’ve been to a lot of dentists. Dr. Stein is by far the best - absolutely top-notch dental care, and he does just what is needed and helps you manage the cost and insurance. Best of all, he is super transparent about what he thinks you need and why, but also what he thinks you don’t need. Definitely give this practice a try - you’ll be glad you did.

Went for cleaning and check up. Staff very nice, my hygienist was Eddie and he was great! Dr Stein was very nice too.

My family and I have been patients fir years of this practice. I visited the other day and had the worst experience to date. I watched Dr. Stein treat his office staff poorly. Upon checking in the girl at the desk, I believe her name was Michele was so incredibly sweet and welcoming. She answered all of my insurance questions and was so helpful. Upon waiting to be seen, Dr Stein was at the desk berating her for all to hear and it was uncomfortable to say the least. couldn’t believe he treated his staff in such a way. After my exam I was told I needed all of this work done and he said it was best to use all my insurance for the year before it was lost. Personally it felt like he was looking for money more than anything. He didn’t even address the concerns I had after the last round of work he did which still isn’t right. His hand were trembling and I was very uncomfortable. After this, I’ll be searching for a new practice.

I’m all the way from Aiken, SC. Shal had been telling me that I should come to her office whenever I came to CT to visit. I came to visit in March. (A little background is: I’m 32, terrified of the dentist and haven’t been in years). I came here and I conquered. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. I didn’t feel judged in any way. Just had a root canal done here and it was probably the least painful experience I have had at a dentist. I had this procedure done once before and it hurt... a lot. However Dr Wechsler did an absolutely amazing job. Would recommend this place to anyone

My appointment was set for 11:30a and I wasn’t seen right away. I waited about 20mins to start my Zoom Whitening Session although it didn’t bother me as much I would’ve liked less wait time. Other than that the facility was very clean, they followed covid protocols and the staff was very friendly & helpful.The Zoom session was an hour long and the dental hygienist was very nice and extremely thorough. She explained to me in great detail what to expect, what she was doing and after care instructions. I didn’t experience much sensitivity until after my session finished.As far as the results I did notice a subtle change so, 4 stars because I was expecting a more striking & noticeable results.

Friendly staff, very clean and I absolutely loved my dental hygienist! She cleaned my teeth so well and removed about seven years of plaque that other dentist told me they couldn’t clean, well my hygienist did and she made my whole day! I had an unusual request and visited Stein dental for a second opinion.. I received excellent care from Dr. Stein and his staff and appreciate the time taken to advise of a good treatment plan going forward.. (unrelated to my last visit) If you need invisilign, they have a great orthodontist there as well.

I like the Stein Dental: Because I love my Dentist Dr C and the the Hygienist are great. Everyone is personable, professional and do a great job. They even trust giving credit. I have been to other dentist offices and they made me pay up front for services. I left Stein Dental and came right back over a short period of time. Stein Dental will remain as my choice.

We have been coming to Dr Stein for almost 20 years. Both our children had their first dental visit here as little ones. Each received their own personalized story book introducing all the people and things they would see at Dr Steins -- and for years afterward asked for it as one of their favorite stories! Children are looked after so well - they love to find their photo on the wall. And as adults, we have always felt the care and concern of Dr Stein and his team. The front desk is also super welcoming and helpful.

Dr Stein seems to be a nice guy, as do most of the dental hygienists that work there. The administration team seem a bit grumpy, especially on the phone if you are dealing with a billing or scheduling issue. The interior is in desperate need of a makeover - feels quite dirty, holes in the wall etc. most annoying thing is the very high frequency of appointments that get canceled, and all you get is a single call / voicemail so if you work and miss that call, you’ll not know.The overall experience is not quite poor enough to change my provider just yet, a little more courtesy would help, but I am finding myself more tempted by those flyers that land in my mailbox featuring a handsome couple with big bright smiles.

Love this practice! Everyone is so kind and caring at this office. My young son who also has special needs, was very frightened and his hygienist, Difeson, went above and beyond to put him at ease. Dr. Stein made his exam quick and easy knowing how scared my son was and has a wonderful bedside manner. The front desk staff was warm and so helpful to us in many ways. All CovId-19 protocols were followed. I’m so happy my son has a consistent and caring dental office he can grow with.

I have to say we were seen at the time of my daughters appointment which is usually rare in most places. My daughter broke a bracket of her top braces and she was only having it removed today. The fact and it was so quick was great because we had other things to do. We love this place and will definitwly recommend it to all my friends and family.

This is one stop shop for excellence. I came in for my first appointment, met with Dr Stein and he referred me to the internal periodontist, Endodontist and then orthodontist. I have severe TMJD and was able to have multiple issues addressed and resolved. Dr Crew made a custom mouth guard that has provided immediate relief for my TMJ. Dr Soni is a subject matter expert and professor who teaches and explained what she is doing in each visit. I am so relieved to have such a comprehensive team to address my complex needs under one roof! The staff is full of compassionate professionals who go above and beyond. Joanne, Jackie and Ashley are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to assist.

I have been a patient of Dr Stein since moving to CT about 10 years ago. Due to poor dental work as a child I have had a lot of corrective work to be done. The Dr and his practice have always been good about working within the limits of my insurance as well as providing quality work.My wife was also a patient of the practice while she had progressive ALS. She was in a wheelchair and had limitations due to her condition, but they were very accommodating and worked with her needs.A-1 practice !!

I come from a family of dentists, orthodontists and even an oral surgeon and I must say that the care and treatment that I have received from Dr. Stein and his colleagues and staff has been excellent. Previously, I have always had good dental care and when we relocated from Boston (where I was treated at Boston University’s Dental practice) to Stamford, we carefully researched where to get care. Since becoming a patient (my wife as well sees another dentist in his practice) of Dr. Stein, my expectations have consistently been met or surpassed. I have received one root canal, a crown and a cleaning. Every step of the way, treatment options, alternatives and steps were explained. I recently read those reviews on a local social media outlet and without a second thought concluded that there must be “an axe to grind” that has nothing to do with the quality of care or the caring for quality! Please do not believe everything you read. My own experience with Stein Dental has provided another opportunity to be careful about believing individual reviews on social media. I recommend this practice completely!

The entire staff is extremely accommodating. Dr Crew is wonderful- my older son’s teeth look amazing and now she is working on my younger son’s.

I really appreciate the patient centered care this practice provides. I used to dread going to the dentist but Dr Stein, his hygienists and colleagues have changed this for me. I initially came here over a year ago due to a cavity and was able to get an appointment and was treated promptly.
