I was absolutely impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness, and expertise from Dr. Whitlock and Lacey, his treatment coordinator, whom we met with today. Dr. Whitlock took over my treatment from another orthodontist I did not have a good experience with. He and his staff were always informative, encouraging, kind, professional. I started my orthodontic journey with Dr Whitlock in April of 2020, when Covid first graced us with its presence. Never thought I would be in braces for a second time at almost 50, but the experience has been so easy the second time around. The Dental Monitoring program is so efficient and easy. Highly recommend this path and program should you have similar needs in the future.

Very unsatisfactory ortho treatment. They told me it takes 4 months for my treatment but end up with 9 months and leave unfinished treatment when I move. They recommend me suresmile but the final retainer they gave me left a gap in my upper teeth. I dont have this gap before the treatment. They wasted me three and half month on fix this problem but the gap still wasnt close at the end. There are a lot of unsatisfactory parts during my treatment:1. my first aligners they gave me had a dimple which not supposed to be there. This dimple made my teeth move to a wrong direction a lot. I emailed them with pictures and they solved this problem by just throw the first set of aligners out and began with the second set. Now, I can still see a small difference that this dimple made on my teeth.2. The retainers they gave me supposed to be same with my last aligners but left a visible gap in my upper teeth(see the attached picture). I told them my moving plan months before but they were not take it seriously. Dr. Whitlock add few dimples on my retainer and schedule an appointment after 5 weeks and the dimples werent make a big differences. Then he add a few more dimples and schedule me another appointment after 4 weeks and the gap still existed. Then followed more appointments on this issue. Dr. Whitlock adjusted the dimples back and forth and my time were wasted. I dont know why it takes so long time to wait for my teeth to adjust for such a small dimple compared to a normally 2 weeks to change a new set of aligners. This gap was still not closed after I moved.3. I asked Dr. Whitlock why this happen for my last retainer and he didnt give us reasonable answers. He mentions scientific reasons but there was no logic. He is a polite guy but his words were evasive.4. Assistants are wearing fake smiles and some assistants are lack of responsibility. In my last appointment, they said they will contact me through phone calls and emails to talk about the gap problem and never hear from them so far.5. Last but not least, there are some other details that I didnt mention but it doesnt mean no exist. I wish I could choose another Orthodontics at the beginning.

I just got my braces off today, and I am so pleased with my results. My treatment was only 9 months, and every visit was extremely professional, clean, and friendly. The staff were really nice! They were very professional and knowledgeable. From our first appointment all throughout getting her braces off, it was a great experience - would definitely recommend anyone come to Whitlock Orthodontics for braces!

I had my braces done with Whitlock as a teenager (and was pleased with them at that time) and had a permanent retainer placed after getting my braces off. The permanent retainer lasted for several years, but eventually cracked and I went in the have it replaced over the summer. During my visit the dental assistant told me my retainer wasn’t cracked and just needed glue. Dr. Whitlock then looked and told the assistant that it was cracked. She then acted embarrassed and was rude to me during the remainder of my visit. When she went to replace the retainer she dropped a piece of metal down my throat and I had to cough it up. It then took her several attempts to place the new retainer. Now only a few months later the glue is coming undone and the retainer is coming off. I called Whitlock to see if they would fix her mistake and they said they would fix it, but would charge me again. I’m very frustrated with their lack of responsibility for their employee’s mistakes. My original retainer lasted for several years(7 or 8 years?), while the new has had issues from the beginning and now falling off 6 months later, seemingly due to the incompetence of the dental assistant. I’m very frustrated with Whitlock Orthodontics and will seek another practice for any future needs for myself or my family.

I loved my orthodontic experience with Dr. Whitlock! The staff is always friendly and willing to help. To be honest, in the beginning I was very nervous about getting braces because I knew that I would be getting married before I was finished with my treatment and did not want wires and bands in my wedding pictures! Luckily, the Whitlock Team recommended the lingual braces. I was able to improve my dental health and have an absolutely beautiful smile on my wedding day with my braces on!!!! No one even knew :)

My daughter is 9 years old and had always made her way to my bed each night. I was exhausted from not getting enough sleep, and decided if I couldnt get her to stay in her bed, then I had to stop the grinding teeth. But everyone I spoke with assured me she would grow out of it, including her pediatric dentist. As I grew increasingly desperate over the course of 2 1/2 years I finally called my primary dentist to make her an appointment to get a mouth guard, but after explaining my issue he told me I needed to take her to see her pediatrician to have her tonsils checked as it sounded like sleep apnea. I quickly made that appointment, and her tonsils were fine, but the pediatrician noticed the pallet of my daughters mouth was V shaped and referred me to Dr. Whitlock. When I met with Dr. Whitlock he took the time to explain to me how the roof of my daughters mouth was too narrow causing her tongue to slide in the back of her mouth at night. This was not allowing her to get enough oxygen which was prompting her to move and grind her teeth in an effort to move her tongue so she could breathe. In addition, the sleep walking was a result of her never getting into a good REM sleep. He explained that she would need a spacer to help move the roof of her mouth into a U shape. We have had the spacer for 6 weeks now, but for the past 3 weeks as the roof of her mouth has shifted into more of a U shape her teeth grinding has stopped, her sleep walking has stopped, and at 9 years old she is officially sleeping through the night, and in her own bed!!! I am so thankful I kept searching for answers and found Dr. Whitlock. His knowledge has been an absolute life saver for this mom and my daughter.

My daughter had her first appointment yesterday and everyone was so nice and the office was clean and comfortable. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a helpful friendly face and did not have to wait long to be seen. Our assistant was very kind and quick with fitting her bands and helped us with our next appointments. We were able to change up our next appointments with convenience and ease. We look forward to this experience with the Whitlock team!
