The staff is okay. The Dr is nice. Selection is okay. If you try to call no one answers. You can leave a message but no one calls back. Not sure how we got an appointment now that I think about it.Took my kid last year here to get a check up and it was fine. No problem. Then I had one, went good. Year later tried to call several times to set another one left a message each time. Never got a call back.

The doctor performed an excellent exam and gave explanations for each step so I understood the technical aspects for the first time. He was very personable and made me feel my vision was as important to him as to me. All other staff were very knowledgeable, helpful in selecting my new glasses, and were very receptive to helping me stay within my budget. It was a very pleasant experience.

Stephanie has made the biggest difference in the way my glasses fell on on face AND vision. I thought I was going blind. Stephanie adjusted my glasses right on. Such a huge difference. I can now see. My Frustration has disappeared —- I can’t thank her enough. You’re a jewel!!!!

Stephanie was great! She was patient and, friendly and very helpful as we selected frames for glasses and sunglasses for my mom. She helped me last October and I love my glasses! She takes time to make sure you find the right frame for your face and to make sure they are comfortable too.

The doctor is great but the front desk is very pushy and they dont do their job. The doctor handed an order for a eye specialist to the front desk and she told my husband she would let him know in the afternoon which was on Tuesday and its Friday now havent heard anything. So I called she said still waiting in doctor and it must not be to serious. Well when you can see out of your eye and you cant work then that is serious will not go back there.

Positive note, and the only reason there is a star at all... I took my children in for eye exams and frames, and the exam area was great. They fit in 3 of my children, and then last minute, opened up a spot for me to get my own exam done while I was there. The dr that saw us all was not the regular dr there, but one that comes in to help out once a month or so, and he was wonderful with my kids, very knowledgeable, thorough, and informative. They were all wonderful and friendly.However, heres the negative, and why my rating is low... when we went to get frames, I was extremely disappointed and left livid.My children all found frames they liked, and the Eyewear consultant was extremely rude and very passive aggressive. She literally told my 13 yr old daughter, who was already struggling with the fact that she found out she needed progressive lenses, that her style was not trendy and she looked awful in what she chose, and would not let her get them. The consultant then chose another pair, and actually told her that they were way worse, and made her look ugly. My daughter started crying and ran to the car. Way to completely deflate a young teenage girl thats trying to find her own unique style!Then every quote she gave me was showing literally HUNDREDS of dollars over what our insurance was showing.We ended up taking our prescriptions to the Lenscrafters on Verdae in Greenville, and that consultant told us that the previous one was charging the most expensive of everything, and was completely commission minded!We got all 3 pairs of glasses with insurance coverage for all of them for a fraction of what just one pair was in Spartanburg, bc Verdae also found extra discounts for all three kids, and found the best option for our insurance coverage and their needs.The Spartanburg location was absolutely ridiculous. While the exams were pleasant, we will not be going to Lenscrafters in Spartanburg ever again.

I got my eye exam done and wanted to get glasses through Warby Parker. Warby Parker tried reaching out to LensCrafters for my Rx five times and with no luck told me I had to call. I called and asked them to fax it over and the lady on the phone said she would right then and there. Today, Warby Parker told me they still have not received it. It has been a month of trying to get LensCrafters to send my Rx over and they continuously are not doing it. Do not get your exam done here unless you plan on buying your glasses from them.

I have been calling trying to get an eye appointment Ive been there the last few years I have called and left 4 messages and no one has called me back looks like Im gonna have to go somewhere else.

Complete lack of communication. Could care less about the customer once they have your money. Overcharge and take way too long to receive your glasses. No one here is trained to fix a problem. Manager is never there and never calls back. Go anywhere else. Get your glasses for half price and half the waitime. Sad to see LensCrafters drop this low. Use to be the best around.

I came in with a pair of glasses I ordered online Chloe brand heart shaped I had got my prescription elsewhere but the place was unable to cut my lenses to fit my glasses. The man at lenscrafters wasnt sure if hed be able to but he took on the job a week later and I have my glasses they are perfect! Thank you so much lenscrafters! ♡

HIGHLY recommend this LensCrafters location. Dr. Harris was very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He picked up on two issues I have that required seeing a retina specialist. They use a state of the art digital retina machine that is hands down better than the one used at the retina consultants office. The staff was courtesy and helpful...from processing our insurance to even helping me pick out frames. I had not had a routine eye exam in 30 years. This location is now our large familys go to place for yearly exams.

They have wonderful doctors and the best people they are open on weekends and the ladies that help in choosing frames are the best and help you pick out a nice pair of glasses/sunglasses Im going on my 4th pair from them always treated nice and will help you adjust your frames until they are perfect they also let you know about great deals!!! My perfect pair are ray ban with the official ray ban lenses they are the best!!!!! I won’t go anywhere else for a exam or glasses!

I had to have my first pair of glasses about 2 years ago and the staff there was great and my glasses were great. However the office staff at the Dr’s office that is in the same building is a totally different story. The front desk was so rude and obnoxious. My glasses fit well so I called the office about another appointment recently. Once again, I was treated like an idiot. I’m not a confrontational person. Not my nature. However I will be going to another optometrist.

Like the guy that did the exam. Sorry but I forget his name. The receptionist that day was also great. Now the rest of the staff sucks! Rude to you if even you get acknowledged!!! When we finally got waited on the hag was not worried about selling any glasses. My child wanted glasses and sunglasses, but she told us that we could get glasses in the brand of frames we were wanting but not sunglasses in her script. Ok, then sell us something else! Didnt even try to!!! We could have even got another regular frame in that brand and put in sun lenses, but she would not hear of it! Dont want my money, that is fine. I am sure somewhere else will!!!

A bunch of dismissive people. I was not allowed a vision test because I did not have my insurance info with me even though I couldve paid cash and simply ask my insurance company to reimburse me at a later time. The receptionist seemed bothered and was rude and unhelpful. Ive been reading other reviews and apparently this rude behavior from receptionist is consistent. If this is how they treat people when they are seeking their business I cant imagine the treatment once someone signs an agreement or finalizes a payment for prescription glasses, the point of no return.

I had an appointment on April 29, 2017 and ordered my glasses. So one week passed and no glasses were in yet. They kept telling me another day the next week and on and on.... So now, its May 22 and they were suppose to be in today and were not. Not only this, but they never did call me to let me know the situation and no correspondence from their end. I had to call every single few days to check on the NO status order. So finally I got a refund for the glasses today, 5/22 and they did ship me 2 boxes of my contacts per my request. Terrible experience at this location. Never again will I go here. They said, IF the glasses were to come in they would call me and give them to me free. hahahahaha yea right. I never received one follow up call yet to inform me of my glasses. Avoid this location...... As far as the other staff they have no personality except the retail manager she was nice and did get my contacts sent to me. This location needs to work on customer service and people skills.

I went in and mt insurance was supposed to cover the cost. I ended up still being charged 80$ for the doctor and none of my lenses were covered. So i asked for my prescription to go somewhere else and its been over a month and there still refusing to give me my own prescription!!! I dont recomment this place for anyone. They dont work with you unless your willing to spend hundreds of dollars. And wait on them to do what they want.

Do not go here. I made an appointment because I needed a prescription last minute. The facility is dirty. I was the only person waiting and still managed to wait two hours until the end of the visit. They tried multiple times to add on treatments I did not want as I have been wearing my same contacts for 20 years. Then when I go to the checkout, they tacked on an extra $50 for allowing me to have a sample pair of contacts. In all my years I have never paid for this. Big time scam.

I have always had terrible experiences at this location. The secretaries are rude and unwelcoming. I would NOT recommend this office.

They lie all the time about where the jobs are. The lab manager is always rude and lies about where my glasses are. Dr. Harris speeds through his exams and is disengaged. The staff is rude and doesnt take into consideration on what you can and cant afford. They just want the money. They never follow through with what they say they are going to do. I would NEVER suggest going there. Not with rude employees, a rude doctor, and lie that they tell.

I think that the price of the frame and glasses were very expensive

Wish I had read the reviews before visiting. They changed my prescription less & I have very blurry glasses now. They put in the wrong prescription when putting my order in & the manager acted like That was somehow my fault. So it took another week to get in the already weak prescription. So the dr. didn’t care to do things properly & they have no intention of apologizing or correcting. I just spent close to $700 in total for a terrible experience & now I have to live with weak glasses. Very very disappointed

Was told I would get my glasses in a week and told that most people get the glasses sooner than a week and I never got a call or anything I finally called when the week was up and was told that it should be in the next day so I waited for call and then I finally called and was told that I would have to wait 2 days to get them cut and when the two days was up I called and talked to a manager that basically said whoever told me it would be an extra 2 days lied bc the glasses was on back order. They was so unprofessional about the whole situation and never called me I had to call everyday!! I finally got my glasses after 15 days of waiting and I was rushed out. The lady who sold me the glasses never even acknowledged me which was very rude. I really don’t think they gave me what I paid for bc there is still glares and the thing I paid extra money for was supposed to help with that! I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone if anything I would recommend that lens crafters shuts this location down!

First and last time here. Went in March got my eyes examined and got new glasses. The kegs on my frame keeps popping off and my eye sight is blurry. I call to have the prescription check and was told I would have to pay for a whole visit. They knew I was diabetic so evertime my eyes change with in a year I have to pay all over. They cover the eyes and frames for 30 days rip off.

Dr. Harris is a nice person. The receptionist, however is very rude. She was instructed to schedule an ophthalmologist appointment for my mother. That never happened. She is always very rude & curt. If you dont like people, please dont work with the public.

Horrible experience. First, the receptionist was very short and rude from The moment we walked in for our appointment. The doctor at this location was so rude! We were visiting family in town and my husband had an issue and needed an exam. The doctor acted like he didnt even want to see him and rushed him through. If my husband asked a question, he gave him a short answer that didnt really help at all. He wrote him an Rx for some medication that no pharmacies even carried, and we ended up having to wait til we got back home to see the doctor at the lenscrafters in Charleston (who is awesome!). No one there must like their job, and it showed. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

I have been here once, and I felt very unwanted. The doctor rushed through my eye exam, he didnt seem to care if I understood what he was saying to me and when I wanted to ask a question, he gave me a short and uninformative answer. The eye consultants werent very nice either, they rushed me as well. It seems as though no one liked their job and didnt care if their customers had a good experience or not. I also live in a small town and this was the closest LenCrafters to us. I wanted to make another appointment but i gave up after 5 times of no answer, even though I left my call back number. If you want a good experience with LensCrafters, go to Arden NC. I wouldnt reccomend anyone going here.

Have been going to Dr. Harris for about10 years. He dose a through exam and always takes time to answers any questions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My glasses are alway ready within a hour,and they always made sure I am happy with the fit and the style. I recomend this Lenscrafters to everyone.( this is the on over by Harbor Freight in Spartanburg not the one in the mall. I walked out of that one never been back)Dr. Harris and his staff are great.

I like Dr. Harris, however, the receptionist at this location is extremely rude and does not you to question anything she says! I used to come to Dr. Harris every year, until a few years back. I went back this year, and now I remember why I left. This gal should not have any interaction with people at all.
