Ive worked with Dr Hauch professionally before, he is by far one of the most capable and well-trained ophthalmic retinal surgeons in this part of the country. Extremely capable and professional, DrHauch is very exacting and careful in his surgeries, takes as long as necessary, and is very thorough in explaining procedures to patients. If you have any problems with your eyes or vision, you couldnt be in better hands! 10 Stars.

Thomas Hauch is extremely rude and does not explain procedures before performing them on patients. I had to get a magnified piece placed directly into my eye to see my retina. He told me this as he was putting it in and did not get me enough time to process it. I flinched back, and he dropped the eye piece. Dr. Hauch gave me such a disbelief look and was really annoyed with me. He told me that it isnt that bad. He has made other rude comments during the process. Also, we were doing a lot of tests to see why my eye sight was losing peripheral vision. He and the staff were performing multiple tests that required a bright light shining directly into my eye for over an hour (I understand it was to see what was wrong with me). Dr. Hauch was aggressively handling my eye and prying it open, because it was so irritated. Since he was making rude comments, I did not feel comfortable enough to tell him that all of the bright lights shinning in my eyes was causing me to have extreme discomfort, and I needed a minute to give my eye a break! I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM and would give him zero stars if I could. He has no bedside manners. The only redeeming qualities about this office is that the staff (nurses) are extremely helpful and actually cared about patients.
