My family has had 6 generations have their eye care through Dr. Grimes. Hes a calm natured man that is laid back and efficient.Marianne and Tanya are the most sweetest down to earth woman. They are caring and loving to everyone. They the the time to not just know their clients but know their families.This is the best small town eye clinic, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. Over the years many of my friends have switched to Dr. Grimes, and in turn refer their friends and family.This eye clinic has the most positive word of mouth amongst the community.

They are very thorough and the nicest people. They do more tests than any optometrist Ive ever been to and they really care.

The eye exam was great. However, the prices are so far away from Wal-Mart’s prices. I asked the doctor to reduce the prescription one diopter so Wal-Mart could do them and thus save me hundreds. He refused. I understand his point, but I was willing to sign a waiver absolving him of any responsibility and he also refused. He reminds me of the old days, when doctors thought they were gods and were not willing to consider their patients’ needs. Again, the exam was great, but ......

I suggest not going here if you you have any social anxiety or space issues. It’s very crowded and their bedside manner is nonexistent. They assumed I know exactly how to use their equipment and were frustrated with me. They were very unprofessional and not at all understanding of my needs, I was anxious and they were being uninviting from moment one. She literally said to me “you can go to Walmart” and “we don’t do compassion here we just take tests.”

Dr and his wife take good care of you..been going for years.

Poor customer service. Instead of listening to my mother, they just assumed what she was trying to say... listen to your clients its Customer Service 101!! The Dr on the other hand was thorough and professional. Unfortunately, his front desk is extremely lacking..

Unprofessional and incompetent staff at the Shelton office. If you have Medicaid, avoid this practice at all costs.

Very thorough exam and I appreciate that but staff ignored my comment on preferred insurance and thought they knew they better. Suppose to call me back afterl I showed them I was correct. No call.

Had an appointment that they called to cancel 20 minutes beforehand and would have to reschedule over 3 weeks later. Then they started giving me attitude when I told them that was extremely unprofessional since they had called me the day prior to make sure I would be there on time and I had already wasted my time driving over here.

Worst place i have ever been! Horrible Customer Service! The Olympia office should be closed down. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional office.

Very unprofessional. Refuses to accept responsibility for wrong prescription glasses, and physically tried to remove the glasses from my friends face when he informed them of their mistake. After trying multiple times to get the right prescription in the first place, waiting for months for them to arrive, then they tried to take the glasses (which would have left him without the ability to see). My friend is still without the ability to see clearly, and the issue has not been resolved even though the glasses have been paid for. Save your money, and dont let this shoddy provider give you inadequate care while raping your insurance. Complaints have been filed.

Ive only been going to dr. Grimes for a few years, but he does a good job and the ladies at the front desk are great also.
