I love that it’s surrounded by trees! The beach was absolutely fun! We had site 07 and didn’t enjoy it at all. It was way too close from hwy 101 and was very noisy. Dumpsters are really hard to find! compare to the other parks, this one is not well keep like the other ones. It’s not dirty in any mean but other state parks that I’ve been to are better.

This is an okay place to spend the night on your way to your destination. It is located right on busy Highway 101 and is dominated by the road noise. Campsites are painfully close together. Watch out if you choose to cross 101 to get to the beach, youll be risking your life as there are four lanes at that spot and a blind corner. Very little to do at the campground itself, there is a nice, short trail, other than that its very boring. We were excited to go, as its only about an hour from home, but we definitely will NOT be going back.

If you need a place to stay overnight on your way to a real campground, this place will suffice. Located on busy Highway 101, the campground is dominated by road noise. Think twice about walking to the beach, as you risk your life crossing 4 lanes of 101 on a blind corner to get there. Very boring place, but there is a nice, short trail. Not much to do. We were excited that it was only about an hour drive from home, but wont be going back.

Great little camp ground for rv camping or pitch a tent and rough it. Only draw backs. No places to charge your cell phone or other electronics unless you do it in the bathrooms or sit at a rv spot and the electrical boxes that are meant for rv parking. Also very noisy road traffic can be hard to sleep at night bgg because of that.

Very clean campground and restrooms but the campsites are very close with not much privacy.

Great campsites and lots to choose from. All of them are a bit closer to the extremely bright restrooms than I’d like but that’s ok. There is a small creek that runs along one side of the campsite and a trail in the back. Some good blackberry bushes along the water but you’d have to invade others campsites to get to them. The entire campsite is just off the road so you’ll hear cars going by all night. We payed $32 for a simple no power site.

Very small camp sites and many are right next to the highway. While beach day use area is outstanding (and even better after hours), the staff exceptional pleasant, and the facility well maintained - this maybe best as stop rather than the destination.

We enjoyed camping at site 83 which was rather large and more secluded than others. Many sites are close to each other. The campground has a nice field with horseshoe game and room for badminton.Facilities are all clean and relatively new. Also has showers. Each restroom is for one person at a time.Could be better if there were fewer dogs barking and fighting but that is up to the campers.Oh and the tap water is fine for drinking, no need to bring bottled water.

It was pretty good, the staff on duty were courteous. Unfortunately (we knew this before we got there), the camper sites didnt have water or power hookups available even though they had them on site, they werent available. Park was clean and decently easy to access the spots.

This campground is NOT on the beach, not entirely in the woods either. Many campsites have reservation signs, but with no show. We ended up with a spot by the road with cars roaring, very noisy!! Seriously overpriced.$40 for a tent? $10 more if you dont have discovery pass. Very disappointed.

Has a nice modern flushing bathroom and RV hookups. A little close to the highway but not much night traffic so no worries there. Have to cross highway to get to Bay and clamming activities. Be sure to hike up the trail at the top of the campground. Its like a trip back in time with mossy trees and big ferns. Tons of berries that look like they will be ready in the fall.

This was a nice campground. We had spot 41 over the 4th of July weekend. Overall the campground was pretty quite and there seemed to be a good amount of shade on our spot. The bathrooms were generally clean and the showers in the back portion of the campground were quite nice. You have to use tokens, though, and it was $1 for 2 tokens, each token is worth 3 minutes. Plenty of garbage cans about so you dont have to walk far. Only criticism is that the waste tube on our spot was kind of clogged so we had to drain our grey water in short bursts, which was a bit annoying. Other than that, it was a good experience.

An awesome place to go camping! The bathrooms and showers are nice, clean and roomy! And the bathrooms arent far at all, just a little 30 second walk. (Depends where you are.) A problem I had was the shower tokens. It was one, confusing and two, expensive. (In my opinion) But overall great place!

A bit noisy from highway traffic in the front but we just had to walk accross to the road to get to the beach, so oysters were available for the picking. The sun showed up immediately after I paid for the campsite. Campsite was decent with a grated fire pit.

We did a drive-by at the camp ground of this state park. It is surprisingly small, dry and dusty.. it doesn’t look well-maintained at all.. there’s no shower, and has either the “hole on the ground” kind of toilet or flush toilets only. Compared to other campgrounds in the area, this is not one we’d ever book for our camping trip. 🙁
