Ive been seeing Dr Rao for osteoarthritis of both knees for about a year now. He is great at sitting down and discussing options and does not push for surgery. I find the entire office staff helpful and willing to go out of their way in working with me. Dr Rao treats me as a partner in my wellness, and I appreciate that.

One of the best doctor Ive ever had. He bases his decisions on sound research, takes time with patients, is thorough with testing and diagnosis, is incredibly responsive, and creates personalized treatment plans with very careful recommendations. Staying active is really important to me and, by extension, to him, which I appreciate.

Respectfully, lamyaa alsammaraie must have made a mistake in the name of the physician subject of the review.8 years under his care has proven Dr. Rao to be a consummate professional. Easygoing, personable and exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. For these reasons, I drive 140 miles round-trip each year for a routine physical, and intend to continue the same routine for the foreseeable future. Thanks Dr. Rao!

I needed a joint doctor who was not obsessed with the scalpel. Four UW docs insisted that I needed a shoulder replacement to address serious osteoarthritis which built up following shoulder surgery as a teen. Dr. Rao prescribed the physical therapy I requested and which has now led to an essentially pain-free shoulder. Dr. Rao was the only one of them who didnt hurt me when doing the initial exam.

I have seen Dr Rao for many years and I could not be happier with him.I also needed injections from Dr Rao and in one case he asked if his student could administer it.I agreed because I understand that the University of Washington Medical Center has a mission to train doctors. Dr Rao marked the site for the injection and provided guidance to the student..It was fine. I had a similiar experience with another doctor in the same area and she had a resident administer a shot under her supervision. No ProblemI have never experienced Dr Rao get upset with me, even if he wanted to suggest something different than he wanted.I hope your father had a good outcome with the other doctor.

This Dr. has an Anger IssueMy father had an spointement with Dr Rao, when the Dr. came in he said that he would like his student to do the injection, when we told him that we prefer he do the injection and the student may help and watch the process, suddenly he was very very anger saying many anger phrases anger, among those phrases never come again took your father to another doctor and so we did next time.
