The best place Ive yet found in Seattle to bring a young kid where they can do just about whatever they want. This place would have been a dream when I was a kid. Foam pits, trampolines, bouncy floors, rope swings, rings, and large foam blocks in vinyl for climbing. I just wish they were open to the public longer than 1 hour.

The place is great. The staff is awesome. The WiFi is a dream while watching the kids tumble and twirl.Id give a solid 5 stars if the patent seating was better. I know a nice aluminum bleacher is perfectly adequate and I doubt many complain to the desk. But we all hate the bleachers...and complain to each other about the cold back pain after a long day at work. Ill bet we could all fit on something more comfortable.Still love the place though!

We have taken our 3 year old for toddler time on a couple of rainy weekends and it was great. There is a lot of different equipment for the kids to use.Tickets typically sell out on weekends (usually see disappointed kids and parents walking away), but you can stop by earlier in the day to purchase before hand.

On the recommendation of a friend we started classes for our 7 year old in Sept (2018). The teachers and staff are always friendly, polite, professional and great with kids. My 7 year old is usually pretty well behaved but there have been a few classes where she was testing the teacher (not listening well, doing things she was asked not to, not doing the things she was asked to do, etc) and it was always dealt with quickly but with the utmost kindness and from the perspective of the teacher wanting to make sure all kids are safe. At the 7yo age the class focuses mostly on the fundamentals of gymnastics and her skills are coming along nicely. My daughter loves the circuits they do, all classes start in the warm up area then branch into different skill areas like the beam, uneven bars, etc. The layout is perfect for this constant rotation and allows for variety in the order skills are practiced. There are stadium style seats for parents (not very comfortable so maybe bring a sweater to sit on) and a section for siblings to play in.

My step daughter attended gym classes at SGA Ballard and Lake City for many years. The teachers were truly mentors for her and helped her tremendously in all aspects of her life. My step daughter gained confidence in herself and the work ethic she learned at SGA has translated in to many areas of her life. I enjoyed watching the well executed meets and was super happy with our experience at SGA. Now that my step daughter is grown I have continued my relationship with SGA over the years and sell my active wear products to them. The management team is always professional and have been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend SGA

Some decent coaches (and some weve loved) but this place seems to be poorly run from the top down. Random weeks off (same cost for parents whether classes are in session or not) for summer break, holidays, gym clean up, etc. Rather than prorate the monthly fee, they offer to let families come in during a designated time once a week, to join a mixed-skills class and go through rotations.I have no idea if coaches are paid for these forced breaks - I certainly hope they are.Within the leveling up system, there are clear guidelines for promotion to next level but those guidelines are not followed by staff. For their competitive star league - make sure your childs group will have more than 6 kids as scoring skews in favor of larger groups and literally penalizes smaller teams (lowest scores dropped from larger groups - not so for smaller teams, so averages are elevated when more kids are on a team). I engaged with the leader of the Star League program and was told that theyre always searching for ways to improve the system but my recommendation seems to have been roundly disregarded. For parents spending hours at SGA, its a small thing, but the benches for viewing are child-sized (not fit for adults) so they are UNCOMFORTABLE and downright impossible if you have any knee, ankle, or back issues.I appreciate the skills my kids have developed here--balance, cartwheels, continuing despite repeated failure (see above for scoring system)--but also have been very frustrated by the poor communication, the always irritated girls behind the counter (even annoyed when told that kids received an electric shock from a water fountain), and frankly, Id expect more from a program at this price.

Shame on you SGA, how dare you expel a child from daycare at your facilities and from attending birthday parties at any of your locations because you dont like the families political standings. I wonder how many of your patrons are Democrats who will be just as appalled to hear this as I was.
