After dealing with sleazy management at a few other gyms in Seattle, I decided to try out Persistence Athletics… and I’m so glad that I did!! The coaches, Ravi & Jacque, are great people and phenomenal trainers with a strong focus on form and injury prevention. Expertise of other members varies from beginner to those with 5-10 years of experience. If you’re looking for a strong community-oriented gym to take your fitness to the next level, give Persistence a shot!

Fantastic energy and positivity between the members of the gym and the coaches (Jacqueline & Ravikant) of Persistence Athletics. The coaches strive to maintain this energy individually with everyone and across the entire group in their classes. Ravikant and Jacqueline understand the fitness level of every member in the gym very well. And push one the exact right amount to get to their next level of fitness while making sure the form and movement of the exercise are correct and proper.The workouts are also very well designed to move the body in different ways, making it stronger overall and not just in one dimension. If in the Seattle area, check this gym out for sure.

Ravi and Jackie are friendly and are amazing coaches. They go above and beyond to understand your goals and coach you to get there. They scale workouts so that you can make progress and gain strength without feeling like the workout is impossible to do.The gym has a nice aesthetic with exposed brick and antique fixtures. The gym is clean and well maintained. The equipment is new and in great shape. I really love this place.

When searching the area as someone new to Seattle, I was looking for a gym that had a personalized touch and focused on an individuals health/fitness goals. My body was not in the greatest cardio/strength/mobility shape. I am probably one of the worst cases a gym could see coming through the door and think, this person will give up after 2 weeks. I am happy to say I have been working with Ravi in the mornings 4-5 days a week since September 2020 and through the 2nd COVID shutdown with at home workouts (which they allowed for extremely low rental rates for equipment needed to perform workouts).Persistence Athletics is by far the one gym I would recommend for anyone looking to get back into working out and with Crossfit. They have a goal of 1% better than the last time. This gym isnt for those that try and quit, but for individuals that wish to change how they view life and want to be healthy. Ravi and Jackie put 100% focus into you as a member of this gym and your fitness goals. Here you will better yourself mentally, physically and emotionally. They offer individual, group, open gym or class sessions which makes them stand out from other gyms.Definitely check them out and tell them Rudi sent you! For me Crossfit is about focused workout plan and community building. But the Coaches (Ravi &Jacque) at PA takes a step above they know exactly your strengths and opportunities, and give you the goals during a workout even in a bigger group. I like the personal touch, and it has benefited me achieve goals that I was not even targeting. Also a plus is the diverse community that has been built which help your grow beyond your fittest goals and learn from them, in the process there a lots of fun and banter around.

Amazing CrossFit gym in the city.I trained here for a month with Jacqueline, who’s extremely knowledgeable and has a supremely pleasant disposition. Being new to CrossFit this was very helpful. She focused a lot on great form and technique, while helping me build up strength and endurance.The facilities are top notch, very clean and well maintained with really good equipment.I usually workout at equinox and have worked with more than a dozen personal trainers, I can confidently say my experience at persistence was right up there.The community at the gym also seemed very welcoming and friendly, I didn’t get to experience as much, since had to relocate away.Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to get into CrossFit or generally try becoming fitter/stronger etc.

I have been working out at Persistence Athletics for 2 months now, and Im obsessed with it! The gym is clean and well kept. Ravi, Jacque, and Christopher are enthusiastic, engaging and well prepared. I was scared to restart the CrossFit, but all the coaches here are so helpful and understanding of the ability of each of the athletics! Nice place to start the CrossFit and learn about not only the performance also the value of the workout!

I still miss this gym, especially the coaches and fellow athletes. There are not that many gyms like that where everything is top notch, including location, equipment, facilities, programming, coaching and supportive environment. I enjoyed every visit and my fitness progressed quite bit while training there.

Persistence athletics is a hidden gem in Belltown.Jacque and Ravi are great coaches and give detailed attention to each member. I joined PA around 2 months ago as a workout newbie and they have patiently trained me all along.It is a small tightly knit community and am really glad to be part of it. Each day I look forward to classes at this place.To add to all this, there are 2 cute fluffy puppies consistently cheering us up.

I can’t say enough great things about this gym and the coaches. I chose this gym because it was close to my home but I had no clue what CrossFit even was. Jackie and Ravi trained me (still do since I’m still very new to the workouts) and they are very knowledgeable, patient and so, so good at what they do. You can really tell the love what they do in every class you go to and they know how to pick you up when you’re not feeling it or you get frustrated during the workout like me. 🤪 The burn is real! Very excited to see where I’ll be a while from now. Would definitely recommend!

Persistent Athletics doesn’t feel like a massive franchise gym. I personally like that there aren’t more than 10 people in a session . Ravi and Jackie pay a lot more personal attention than any other gym that I have been too . They have also been excellent in following the Covid guidelines set by the state and keeping it socially distant. Highly recommend if you are looking to build up endurance

Persistence Athletics is not your average gym. Your fitness is 100% mental and this gym puts it to test. This is my second time around with Crossfit and I was skeptical given the myths around women getting bulky, irrevocable injuries, etc. I’ve been athletic all my life but struggle to stay consistent while dealing with injuries and/or health issues. I needed a coach to guide me in fostering a growth mindset, to develop healthy habits and overcome my limiting beliefs. Coach Ravi and Jacque gave me just that! They provide personal attention by scaling the program to your ability, offer constant feedback, recalibrate your nutrition and work around your injuries to eventually help you get better results.I feel proud to walk out of the gym knowing I’ve made 1% progress every time whether it be by squatting lower, lifting heavier or trying a handstand. I’ve tried a couple of fitness centers in the Belltown/Queen Anne area but this one has transformed me into a loyal member not only for their training but their holistic approach towards life. The community is incredibly supportive and it’s a judgement free zone.

This is an amazing Gym; Jacque and Ravi are fantastic coaches. They are very knowledgable, supportive and extremely passionate. Each and every workout is carefully designed and they scale it personally for you, if needed.They have created an active and friendly atmosphere which helps you make constant progress. This is the first time in my life when I have been able to continue exercise for more than 2 months. Ravi and Jackie design the daily exercises which can be customized for anyones fitness level. They give personal attention to everyone in the gym to make sure your form is correct and all the right muscles are engaged. I can feel the difference in my strength and endurance abilities after 2 months. I will highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a crossfit gym in the Belltown area.

I have been working out at Persistence Athletics for over 1.5 months now. Initially took ten one-on-one sessions as I was new to CrossFit, then now continuing with my regular monthly classes. Jacky and Ravi are both very professional and patient. They will work according to your pace, clear your doubts and work on form. All the workouts are scaled to your level.During COVID, all necessary precautions are being taken. Proper social distancing is followed. You will have your own corner with all the equipment to workout.Lastly, to give you a little motivation during your workout, they have two cute little fluffy puppies who will go around and keep you motivated.Overall a fantastic experience would especially recommend it to anyone new to CrossFit.

Great place, Have been going there from last 3 months. They really emphasize on clean technique before volume which has improved me alot. Given COVID, they are taking all possible precautions including temperature check before entering facility, min 6 feet distance between each person , not allowing more than 10 people in huge space at any give time. I joined last year as a complete beginner to CrossFit. The coaches Ravi, Jacqueline, and Christopher have done a great job with the programming. You start with foundations/basics and gradually progress to more advanced lifts/workouts in the strength and conditioning program. The coaches and community are extremely supportive and have helped me through my fitness journey. The coaches have gone out of their way to help me achieve my goals even during the pandemic. The gym has reopened after the lockdown with the proper restrictions, temperature checks, and social distancing. Cleaning supplies are also available and athletes are expected to clean their equipment after working out to maintain sanitary conditions. Highly recommend joining the gym for people of all levels of fitness.

Ive been coming here since it opened. The owners, Jaque and Ravi, are the nicest folks. They truly care about their gym members and community. Theyve brought in a bunch of new equipment, opened up new timeslots for open gym - its been great seeing all the improvements theyve made already.The coaches here are all very patient and explain everything for newcomers. For people that are more experienced, they still find small tweaks to improve form. Ive enjoyed Christophers attention to detail and his knowledge of different stretches that he demos after each workout.

I started coming to this box about a year ago when it was CrossFit Belltown. Once Jacque and Ravi took over and it became CrossFit Persistence Athletics, the entire gym environment changed for the better.First, the gym is always CLEAN, the coaches are ALWAYS there for classes. (This was not the case before Jacque and Ravi and as a new-to-CrossFit person last year, it was hard to improve or even be safe without coaches when Id show up for class).The community of members that now make up the majority of the gym are all focused on health, fitness, kindness, and supporting each other. There is no elite mentality, everyone is just on your side for always improving. Ive brought friends for drop-in classes and they also remark on how welcoming and detail-oriented the coaches are to form and being safe while encouraging a high level of performance.During this COVID-19 pandemic, there has been even more support and attention to the community of athletes. I was able to continue working out at home and had video coaching with both Ravi and Jacque as well as virtual classes. Now that we can safely be back in the gym, the measures taken by Jacque and Ravi have been above and beyond to ensure each member is healthy/safe and maintain social distancing while we are working out- hand sanitizer, equipment sanitizer, masks, etc.This is my go-to place for health, fitness, support, friendship, and fun. I am so grateful that I decided to walk in the door a year ago. I have accomplished fitness goals that I didnt even know I had in the last year, due to awesome and safe coaching. I have made friends for life here.

Unique aspect of this gym is that is ALL encompassing fitness. Not only do you get to train some traditional Crossfit style WODs, you get Strength and Conditioning specific workouts that can be tailored towards your individual fitness goal. Coach Ravi, Jaquie and Christopher have real emotional investment in their clients. When you are part of Persistence, you are really are part of a community. While there is camaraderie and friendly competition among gym friends, this is not a brohs club. You will never be judged. Egos are left outside.Additionally, the gym is following safe protocols during these uncertain times. The space is well taken care of and clean making it safe for all people who visit.

I am from the east coast and I was here to attend CF L1 seminar. As soon as I walked in for the first time I immediately realized this is the best CrossFit facility I have ever been to. I took a tour of the facility and realized that the facility was very spacious included with changing rooms, couple of restrooms with a bathroom! The facility was more than sufficiently equipped(and organized) and I was really impressed to learn about the quality of coaches. Ravi and Jacque were very welcoming and made me feel at home. Despite conducting class with a lot of people Ravi was able to give one-one attention to each athlete. I felt like I was personally trained by Ravi(hes a CrossFit L3 coach)!!Be ready to get amazed if you are visiting CFOF for the first time! If youre already an athlete here youre lucky!

I havent been to the physical location in downtown much, but I will post about the online community. Its just amazing. Not only is the information there real gold, but also is the community really vibrant, welcoming and beginner friendly. The community is there to coach you, challenge you and hold you accountable. Its a place to grow and thrive both physically and emotionally. Ravi, Jacqualine, Vidya, Mateen, Shubham and Rishabh do an amazing job of posting valuable information, coaching members and holding them accountable.

CrossFit Old Fashioned is my home away from home. The facility is superb. The owners, Ravi and Jacque are very engaging and make you feel like family right from the start. They care about each member. They pay special attention to detail to the beginner athletes to ensure they are getting the safe and proper fundamentals of CrossFit. This to me is why they are the best. Any gym can cater to the developed athlete while beginners are often overlooked. That is not the case at COF.They are set apart from the rest when in comes to teaching fundamentals and development of beginning athletes. Don’t get me wrong, they are completely qualified to train the most experienced athletes as well, and they do! The coaching staff is excellent.Lastly, the community at COF is humble and kind. Lets start by saying that I was the least enthusiastic CrossFit you can ever find. My first appointment with Jacque I mentioned a list of things I didnt want to do. With no knowledge of the sport and only listening to stories I was terrified. But I decided to give it a try. One of my best decisions! After trying many alternatives and coming up with the idea that he hated the sport. Persistence Athletics taught me that I just needed to be in the right place and with the right people. Jaque and Ravi offered me personalized attention. A program based on learning form and building strength without exposing myself to unnecessary lessons. There I found a family. My body and mind are getting stronger every day and all thanks to Persistence Athletic. The best Gym in Seattle and if you dont go there I dont know what youre doing wasting your time elsewhere.
