I hate to say that this has been the worst experience I have had at a primary care provider. I have been coming here my entire life since I was an infant and this is the worst patient care I have ever experienced. After calling a total of 8 times (13 min average wait) I finally scheduled a zoom call and strep throat swab. I have positive exposure from my gf and if you take one look at my throat you would put me on antibiotics. The zoom call was an absolute joke, the doctor didn’t even look at the camera. The call lasted ~5 minutes mostly making sure my information was correct and saying I was exposed to strep. I begged the doctor to look at my throat to which she said “the zoom call quality is poor, it won’t help”. After my 5 minute call she scheduled me for my 3pm swab. The previous 1:40pm time I was given was wrongly set for a December date, it is currently October. C’mon.Arriving at the UVillage parking garage for my swab was both demeaning as you watch people enter and exit the elevator and also pathetic. They sent a pediatric nurse upstairs who also didn’t examine my throat, just a swab and told me to drive off and they would contact me in an hour.I woke up the next morning after spending 19 minutes on hold with scheduling, I called their direct line (used when you pull up to get swabbed) and they answered immediately. Then the lady told me my test came back negative. Well, what the hell do I do about my throat now!?I am pleased it is negative but hard to believe when my girlfriend tested positive. Also I still have bacteria and a really bad throat, would appreciate being on antibiotics, thanks for not helping me with my ailments. The worst part!!! After 24 hours of attempting to get a doctor to examine my throat, while still dealing with my ailments, I asked the scheduling employee “can I please see a doctor, can I see my doctor at my primary care facility in order to examine my throat. If it is not strep, I still need a doctor to look.” She said “no.”!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding!?!?The only help they could provide is saying “you can schedule a walk in visit at our office in Edmonds, but it may be costly because we have our respiratory doctors there.” First off, I reminded her that this is a ear eye nose throat issue not respiratory. All I want to do is see a doctor.

I feel the need to counter these negative comments that are primarily about urgent care services. Online scheduling has always been fast and almost immediate. The wait times are the absolute best of any hospital system or doctor’s office that I have ever experienced. Not having to be stuck waiting is invaluable and as a result I am always trying to tell people to switch to V M. One example of the quality of care: I came in for an annual exam and let Dr Twiggy Lee know about my sister’s recent breast cancer diagnosis. She got me a mammogram appointment THAT moment so I wouldn’t have to deal with scheduling and coming back for another visit.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE and I have good health care from a big tech company too. I am going back to harborview clinic ASAP. One regular scheduled doctor visit here was $200 out of pocket, and don’t get me started on all the other charges from the clinic and doctor separately! Do not get duped here.

Was scheduled for a different location. I always go to the Bellevue clinic that has been great. I did not note in my appointment calendar that the appointment was at University Village. Never been to the University clinic before. Showed up at Bellevue for the 2 appts. Bellevue notified U Village I was on my way, that I had gone to the wrong clinic. I arrived late for the first appt but early for the next. They advised the first appt was listed as a no show. I Informed the front desk they were advised by Bellevue clinic that I was on my way. The customer rep inquired with doctor if I could be seen. Doctors response was I was a no show and therefore would need to reschedule. Not that there was no opening or could not fit me in as I was late. Simply that Im listed as a no show and therefore cant be seen. Sounded just as it was delivered - a punishment for being late. I have been with Virginia Mason for over 20 years.

For Seattleites who live north of the Ship Canal this facility is a godsend! To be able to access primary (and some specialist) care closer to home is so helpful! This facility is new, convenient, and includes parking. There are QFC and Bartell Drugs pharmacies in U Village. So much easier than crossing bridges and driving to VM Central! Check it out! cb

We LOVE our pediatrician, Dr. Candelario, and whenever we have to make an appt with someone else (due to scheduling issues) they have been great as well. All interactions with staff, lactation consultants, etc have been excellent as well!

We’ve been going here about 18 months. Everyone is super friendly from scheduling, to on call nurses, to any of the pediatric doctors. They’re generally right on schedule and have a lot of resources available to you.

Always such an easy patient experience here, the two times Ive gone. Im able to get in for simple issues and treated with care every step of the process from front desk to nurse practitioner. It makes accessing medical care seamless in a system that seems to usually work against the patient experience. Appreciate your team!

I was running late for a late afternoon appointment, so I called the office to let them know when Id arrive. Scheduler confirmed that I should still come in. When j arrived, I was informed that all providers hadleft for the day. Thanks for letting me drive 25 minutes each way for that.

Efficient, accurate, pleasant. Ability to schedule appointment time online saved a long wait. Tessa Fotoohi PAC listened to my kiddos symptoms, performed a careful exam, ordered the appropriate test and made the right diagnosis. As a physician and a mom, I thought she did an excellent job.

Very impersonal, Dr. was obviously annoyed and dismissive. I was having trouble describing my symptoms because I was sick. I let her know that however she did not have the time to deal with it. I now know from going to a much more sympathetic Doctor who is willing to take the time to work with me and listen that I have a critical thyroid issue. It causes brain fog and affects your ability to communicate.

Hidden gem among medical centers. Primarily for children but they do perform blood draws/tests and I believe have a few other departments.Parking is easy since the center and the parking are in the same building. Would recommend parking higher up on levels 4+.

Note: this is a review of the Walk-In Clinic only - Ive had 2 poor experiences at the walk-in clinic and will never go back. A few years ago I had a double ear infection and flu at the same time. I was miserable, barely able to drag myself in and crying the whole way - shivering, nauseated, totally out of it. The nurse that treated me was downright cruel - she made my arm go numb with the blood pressure cuff and refused to take it off. When I protested, she angrily told me to calm down or she would make me leave. I cried silently through the rest of the ordeal. I go to CityMD now exclusively for basic urgent care. Then, a couple months ago my 4 year-old son shoved a small plastic bead into his nose and we went to the walk-in clinic to have it extracted. The service was incredible, we were in and out in less than 30min and the doctor was delightful. All it took was a couple seconds with a simple specialized instrument and the bead was out, pain-free. THE BILL FOR THIS SERVICE WAS OVER $800! THE SAME SERVICE AT SEATTLE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL WAS $350. I know this because the same child shoved a pecan up his nose a month later and I took him to Children’s instead. 🤣

Very rushed - most of the people I spoke with in person and over the phone we harsh, cold, rude, rushed, and clearly concerned with making the meeting/appt/phone call over as quickly as possible. Would not recommend this location. Doctor was not rude, but seemed disinterested and overwhelmed by extensive medical concerns - poor bed side manners.

Ive received quality care from doctors in other branches of VM. Based on my experience at VM U Village, I would not recommend this location. The environment seemed tense, even from the beginning when interacting with receptionists. The doctor I met seemed distracted, rushed, and gave very curt responses to my questions and concerns. This is not the place to go if you value mutual respect and professionalism.

Doctor doesn’t seem to listen, and are chronically late for appointments. My doctor has walked in late, right past me with out saying a word. Today I’m waiting 1+ Hour, with no other provider offered/available.Only reason I’m giving two stars is because the staff are otherwise great people, and testing can be done on site.

I came here for an annual physical. I had to wait 30 minutes until the doctor saw me only to be told that he had one procedure before he could get back to me. Over an hour passed and he came back saying, sorry for the wait, I ended up having two procedures. He then tried to pressure me into getting a pap smear done without asking about my sexual history, checked my heart beat and sent me home within 10 minutes.I called two months later asking if I could get general blood work done as a follow up - they told me that I had to come back in for an appointment before they would send me to get the blood work. I will not be coming here ever again. Swedish is a million times better, and if going back to Virginia Mason, I would go to the location downtown even though it is further from me.

This is a beautifully open medical facility with plenty of light and a feeling of spaciousness. The feeling throughout is of open cheerfulness. I have never been there when it appeared to be crowded. The parking situation is easier than easy since the garage is overhead and a few stops down on an elevator. The commute from anywhere in the northend or possibly even from the eastside might be easy if all is at it should be on the roads. I think the bus situation may not be as efficient. In any case, once you get there it is a pleasure, even when your reasons for coming may not be the greatest!

I feel completely duped. I went in for a physical after not having been to the doctor in a while and the one thing I requested is that I learn my blood type. After excellent service from the nurse and the doctor I went to get blood drawn, after a while the manage to get a blood sample and I went home. They were friendly from start to finish and I filled out the online information account in order to receive my lab results. I was given a couple of usdates about test they ran as part of the physical but no blood test results. When I called the medical center a week later to find out what type of blood I had and what the delay was I was given a call back quickly by the staff and informed that a blood type test cost extra (was not informed about this during the physical) and that because of this they did not recommend this. They did say that if I gave blood or got pregnant (neither on my agenda) or needed major medical surgery, a service could tell me my blood type but they would not. The nurse on the phone offered to contact my doctor but the doctor claimed I never requested to know my blood type even though it was my main reason for going to get a physical.Based on my experience I recommend if you go here be very specific, keep notes and request they sign off on every service and issue you have requested of them and that they understand what you are requesting before you leave.

Such a frustrating experience. We have tried twice to get a pregnancy lab test at this location, which was called in by our doctor from the Cap Hill location (who were too busy to see us), only to be told after waiting that they could not find any confirmation in their system, so could not administer the lab test. So due to either an admin error, glitch, or pure staff incompetence weve wasted two days and had to miss work to accomplish nothing but a headache. Time to switch to Swedish...

Id gone here for annual physical exam, while having sore throat. Id explicitly mentioned that Ive come only for annual exam and not for sore throat. I had a physical copy of my Preventive Benefits plan, and I explicitly went through the list with the assistant Shruthi and Dr Havens twice before availing the services.I was still charged for sore throat inspection. Ive sent 10 emails for correcting the claim, and its still not done. Its a bad customer experience, I might not be visiting Virginia Mason again.

Lied about urgent care wait time. Told me it would be 30 min, still waiting 1.5 hours later, and Im not next in line.2017/05/02: Without warning or apology, Virginia Mason made my wife wait for 45 min. in an exam room with our 9 m.o. son and 3 y.o. daughter. Brutal, unprofessional, and inexcusable. We really like our kids pediatrician, but Virginia Mason is clearly overbooking their doctors and today my family suffered.
