Dr. Jeff Woerner has been my optometrist for 8 years. He is wonderful. As an engineer, Im curious about the physics behind my prescription and Jeff patiently explains it all. Jeff has been happy to give me the prescription and pupil distance in the format I need to buy my glasses cheaply online. All the staff are friendly. With the pandemic, its now inconvenient for me to go all the way into Seattle to get my eye exam, but I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else.

After a long night of drinking I had made the mistake of sleeping on my glasses and bending the frame. I brought them into Oculus Eyecare and the very nice associate at the front fixed them in a matter of seconds. The staff was extremely informative and helpful. I cannot recommend Oculus eyecare more highly.

I wear light weight metal frame glasses made in Germany. Love these glasses. Unfortunately they were starting to slide off my face and were no longer fitting on my face correctly. Searched around the Seattle shops for one that sold this brand and found Oculus. I didnt purchase my glasses from them but they cleaned and fixed the issue of them sliding off of my face. It was like getting a new pair of glasses. They never asked for payment and spent time explaining the construction of my glasses and how to better care for them. Everyone at their store was helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable. They know their products well and will take time to explain the benefits of each. This store is one of the best. When I need any thing related to care of my glasses they will be my only choice.

Oculus Eyecare is THE BEST! Dr. Woerner is thorough and has a kind, gentle spirit, and he has assembled a thoroughly top-notch team who all go above and beyond to make sure youre happy. They stock fabulous frames from super cool designers, and I always find zillions to try on and drool over. And once, when I wanted to get a back-up pair of my very favorite frames by a designer they carry but that had been discontinued, they tracked down one of the few remaining pairs in Europe and had them shipped over to me! Theyre 100% perfection.

Probably the best eye care experience Ive had. Kind doctor and kind front staff. Definitely anticipate a slight wait if its busy, but worth it!

I dont usually leave reviews, but the overwhelmingly great experience I enjoyed with them left me no choice. I can only attest to the professionalism, product knowledge, style sense, and genuine excitement Bola, Brett, and Kelly afforded my wife and I. I thought I knew exactly what frames I wanted, in what Im sure is a relatable experience the frames I went there for didnt look great on me. Bola was able to find a similar style that fit my face and I barely want to take off to sleep. Brett, and Kelly did the same for my wife. I wish I could pass on all the compliments I am receiving since their arrival, but the are to numerous to list. Do yourself a favor and shop for Eyewear here.

Fantastic experience! The eye doctor cares about you as a patient and takes the time to get to know you as he works and gets everything measured and adjusted. He takes your preferences and lifestyle into account. It was apparent that he really enjoyed his job; outcome was glasses that are perfect for me. I’m already having less headaches and feeling better after staring at my computer screen for long hours.The guy at the front desk picked out a pair of frames that I would have never considered trying on and they were somehow perfect. Very covid safe and cleansed all the frames after you try them and still encouraged you to try 30-40 frames and just said “don’t worry! This is the fun part! We don’t mind cleaning them!” - very stress free.All around a great environment with a great outcome. A tad bit pricy on the frames, but in this case I found it justifiable. 5/5 would recommend!!

I went in because I stepped on my glasses by accident. It is currently by appointment only but they were nice enough to help me without one. The receptionist was very friendly and he fixed my glasses in less than 2 minutes. I will be coming back. I’m very grateful!

Went in today and the visit was great. Dr. Woerner was professional and the eye exam went smoothly. The staff was excellent, they finding a solution to my problematic glasses which I had been having issues with for the last year. My wife had to go out of town on an emergency matter and needed to pick up contact lenses before her trip today. She already had a valid prescription at this provider but the receptionist refused to help her out and insisted that she had to make an appointment for 3 weeks later and redo her measurements!!! We were pretty disappointed by her attitude and such a terrible customer service. If you use this provider please be aware that the doctor is pretty nice but you are in for a horrible customer service by their staff. Weve had a great provider in Oregon for years and every time we visited them, they had the prescription for both glasses and contact lenses. Your staff didnt do anything to be more accommodating and help her not go out of town without contact lenses. The standard answer was No and 3 Weeks from now. She didnt even try to explain. We were hoping for a better customer service experience. My wife already found another provider. Thanks!

I walked into Oculus on a Monday morning, having lost the nose-piece to my glasses (from another optician) on Friday night. The folks at Oculus were helpful and friendly and repaired my glasses while I waited at no charge. I am seriously considering changing my full-time optometry needs to this outfit. Ive been a patient for a couple years. Staff is always friendly, honest, and helpful. Doctors are respectful and professional. The office is conveniently located for work downtown or SLU, and appointments are accommodating to a work schedule. Free parking in a couple spots in the lot.When Ive tried on different frames, the staff always make it a personal experience. I felt like the bell of the ball. They are honest with their opinions and are quick to find if any customization is available. I am looking forward to picking up my 2 pairs later this week!I recently went out of the country for a couple weeks, and while packing I realized I didnt have any contacts left. After a quick call, Oculus offered to help with a pair for my trip. They literally saved my snorkeling experience (haha).Thank you to the staff and doctors!

I have been wearing glasses all my life and I know when I meet up with a caring and professional caring team. The Oculus Eyecare team by far exceeds all other eye clinics in Seattle for their professionalism, quality of care, and just well caring. During this COVID outbreak, the Oculus team has been responsive and available. Trust me this is very rare. Do yourself a favor and use Oculus for all of your eye care needs.

I had an appointment at Oculus to get a new prescription. The appointment setup and new patient paperwork was quick, easy, and available online. The wait time for the appointment was non-existent! I was in the back being checked out within 10 minutes of arrival. The optician who helped me, Brett? *I think* - was the nicest ever and helped me find a pair of glasses that I really love! Dr. Ho was quick, thorough, and excellent as well. Overall I highly recommend Oculus Eyecare and will return in the future.

Great place for an exam and for glasses. The staff walked me through all my picks of glasses. They gave me great advice for the shape of my face and how to compliment every angle. It was like finding the perfect pair of jeans. The doctors are wonderful. Patient, kind and knowledgeable. Definitely my hub for eye-care going forward.

I work and live near Oculus and when I was in the market for a eye doctor, this place was recommended to me. I have been here twice and am super satisfied with my choice. Making/rescheduling an appointment is a breeze. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Ive seen both doctors, who also are amazing. I highly recommend this office when you have to be and adult and attend appointments like these.

EDIT 6/3/2020: After posting my initial review below, Dr. Jeff Woerner personally reached out to me via email to explain what had happened. I was still disgruntled about the charge, but he asked for my suggestions for what Oculus could do better and was very open and receptive to feedback. We reached an agreement, and I was happy to see such good customer service and extremely professional correspondence. It is rare for someone to go out of their way to ensure that all of their patients are satisfied and even rarer to accept and implement feedback. Thank you Dr. Woerner!-------------I went to Oculus Eyecare for a comprehensive eye exam today. I have been wearing contact lenses for 10 years and occasionally wear glasses. At the end of the visit, I was charged for both the contact lens exam as well as the comprehensive exam. A contact lens exam is supposed to include measurements, fitting, etc. I did not do that as part of my appointment. I just needed the prescription, which should have been included in the comprehensive exam as per what the receptionist said on the phone. So why was I charged an extra $60 for the contact lens exam? They put code 92310 on the charge on my receipt which according to my insurance provider is for a new contact lens wearer. I had a good experience during my appointment and Dr. Jeff Woerner is a good doctor, but I felt that the price was not justified.

Ive been going there for years and am very happy with their services. I used to go to a cheapo place in the international district... until I got tired of having to replace lenses twice a year due to damaged coating. I splurged for high quality gear at Oculus and am so glad I did.

My husband and I needed eye exams and went online to book an appointment. They didnt have an opening for 3 weeks so my husband called and they got us in the following Saturday.Check-in was a breeze. Lucas was super friendly and explained what the insurance covered and how much the extras were. He also helped me choose new frames and was honest about how it looked on me. In the end, I found a style and color I loved.Dr. Ho was really friendly and easy to talk to. She was thorough and answered all of my questions.Would definitely recommend.

Huge fan - i would not go anywhere else. i went there 6 months ago and they were very helpful picking out a set of frames that my wife loved. When i recently discovered a defect they addressed my concern and had new lenses put in within 24 hours. I would definitely go back.

Whats harder than writing a disgruntled review is taking the time to write a positive one. Ive rarely been compelled to review a business. My experience at Oculus demanded one. The staff and Doctor there were insanely helpful and friendly. My only regret is not giving them the business for frames and lenses because I couldnt find that perfect style for my big dome.

Oculus was really great. I hadnt been to the eye doctors in quite a few years and they made it a pleasant experience, there was not a long wait to get into the doctor nor for my glasses to be finished. I was able to book my appointment for the next day and by the day after my glasses were ready for pickup. They answered all my questions and took the time to help me pick out my new frames.

I have been a patient for about a year. I called their office today 2/1/2019 at 9am asking for an urgent need for contact lens. I have a valid prescription from their office which is good for a year. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and not accommodating my request. She insisted that I need to make an appointment and get my eyes measured (despite having a valid prescription from their office). And when I asked for the same day appointment, she told me they are extremely busy and completely full for the next few weeks and the first available appointment will be in March.Respect and care is the least I expect from my doctor and the staff, especially in emergency situations. I am now left with no contact lenses. I am going to leave their practice and find another doctor whose staff care about patients.

Dr. Woerner took the time to show me the pictures of the inside of my eyes, asked lots of questions to determine my needs for contacts, was thorough and efficient. The space is lovely: uncluttered and light with a very nice selection of frames. I especially appreciated Jaimies help; she did not just tell me which frames looked good on me, but helped me to pick the ones that fit well. I walk by Oculus every day, so it is very convenient for me. It may, however, be a tough location for parking.

I work in the design profession and Oculus is the eye care center for designers. From the beautiful store interiors to the wide selection of the coolest designer frames (carbon fiber to recycled wood!) to the efficient and friendly staff my experience was exceptional. Dr Jeff answered all of my questions, even those about how his state of the art exam equipment worked. I highly recommend Oculus.

The care I received was top notch, explained to me all the details of my eyes and what I should look for/be careful of. These people are great. I have been here twice with two years in-between. I was helped by different people and both times have been good experiences. I could not ask for more. My go-to place for my eye exams and glasses.

I called and asked if they could put lenses into my new frames, since I didnt have the tools. She quoted me $10 and that sounded fine to me. But after going in and having her service my glasses, she returned them with a damaged screw and said it was painted shut and that she didnt have time to help me.Luckily I was able to do it myself after buying a screwdriver at Walgreens and fixing it myself. Plus I used the screw from my old pair to replace the stripped screw. I guess Im better at fixing glasses than an eye care place.Not sure what her problem was, but she was unhelpful, very rude and I wont be going back.

I went to this eye doctor office 4 times back to back. I kept saying, the prescription isnt right. Its not right. My left eye had been weird and blurry for the last few months. Somethings changed with my vision. I saw two different doctors, and they both wouldnt listen to me. Finally went to a different eye doctor, who referred me to an ophthalmologist and 6 months later I have been diagnosed with something called Adies tonic pupil. My pupil was/still is massive and had been dilated for months and they didnt even notice that they eye was severely dilated or mention it to me. Two different doctors didnt notice. I cant begin to explain my frustration and disappoint with this office. If you want eye doctors that care for their patients and dig deep to find a solution - this is not the place for you. They just slid me in an appointment and right back out without really helping or listening to me. I would not recommend to anyone. Yikes!!Edit: Contrary to the response below - they referred me after visit 4 to an Ophthalmologist that was booked out 4+ months.

Another great experience!!! It was easy to make an appointment and the staff is professional and very friendly. I tend to blink a lot so I am always amazed and relieved when they can get the eye puff test done in one shot. Dr. Woerner really cares and listened to my concerns and made suggestions on how to adjust my prescription to address them. The team at Oculus Eyecare is wonderful.

Out of all the eye care places Ive been to Oculus has come up on top. The staff is very helpfull. They take the time to explore every option so that you get the best price. even if you are not going to buy from them they help you, who does that.Im really unhappy that my insurance changed and no longer accepts Oculus.

Fantastic basic exam prices ($99), easy to find (not much parking, but easy to walk to) great staff, and the doctor is very friendly and chatty! He didnt make you feel rushed at all, and explained everything very thoroughly and is easy to-understand terms. I am new to Seattle and searched online for clinics with strong reviews in order to find my new optometrist. Dr. Woerner and the staff at Oculus were truly excellent. Went there with a broken hindge and instead of giving me a speech on how I need to buy another pair they helped me send it off through them to get it fixed. Got me a coke and chocolates. They were friendly and pleasant. I never leave reviews but it was worth it for Oculus Eye Care!!

I just moved to Seattle and was looking for new eye doctor and needed a new pair of contacts. Dr. Jeff Woerner and his staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgable and have made the process from scheduling an appointment to buying new contacts super easy.It seems strange to say, but I really had fun at my appointment.

The staff is great and are completely honest with you if a frame doesnt look great. They dont work on commission so dont push you towards the more expensive frames. Really great experience and they take VSP insurance which is a plus.

It was the best experience Ive had an an optometrist. The staff was great and have very convenient times for working professionals. Plus I got an appointment in just two days. Also Dr. Woerner was really friendly and not only happily answered all of my questions but also but me at ease so I felt comfortable asking them in the first place. I initially chose Oculus Eyecare for location, I work within walking distance. My experience was much more than I expected, the extended hours allowed me to complete a full work day. I only waited a few moments for Dr. Woerner and the results went quickly with his professionalism and the advance technology. I was not going to purchase glasses, however, his staff were so genuine, helpful and fun that I changed my mind...they have an amazing selection.

Oculus Eyecare is in a great location, right at the corner of Dexter and Denny, easily accessible by bus, walking or by car - they even have a parking lot! The store is very bright and airy and welcomes you in. Dr. Woerner is really friendly. He answered all my questions about the new digital equipment in the exam room with a smile. The staff was great, very friendly and not salesly. Oculus has a great selection of frames in all price ranges. Definitely recommend!

I just moved to seattle. I took a shot in the dark by going to oculus. I had seen it on Denny and it looked flashy so I gave it a go.Dr. Woerner was incredible. Really friendly and took way more time to explain things to me than he needed to. He explained exactly how my prescription worked and how he figures out the tolerances in prescriptions. Because I am from Canada he also explained exactly how my insurance coverage works.At the end of my exam the eye wear team helped me find some really great glasses from an incredibly unique collection. I didnt even want to shop around. Oculus has my complete confidence.I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Woerner and his team.

Otherwise they normally are the fastest and do a lot of same day magic.Peep dis, got mad scratches and not the DJ kind. Really love this place! Super nice staff even when its busy, super clean place, super fast in and out, and the doctor Jeff Woerner is really great! Sometimes playing the this one or this one game can be daunting and some doctors seem annoyed if you have to have them do it a few times (Ive got really bad vision so it takes a lot of back and fourths to get the right lenses for me). Im pretty firm when I get a cranky doctor because I really need to get my vision right but I have friends who get intimidated into just wildly guessing about which lens works best because the doctor seems too impatient to take the time to make sure theyre allowed to pick the right lens. While it doesnt happen to me I have certainly had my share of experiences where, were I not a more firm person, I could see that happening, but every single time I see Woerner hes completely pleasant and patient. Hes never even almost irked by being asked to flip back and fourth a lot. Hes really just an A+ doc and really seems to wanna make sure you leave feeling like you made the best vision choices. I couldnt recommend this place more.
