I was billed 1565.00 to see the doctor for 2 minutes. I work for swedish and the bill says out of network. The service was awful. I would never ever recommend this Hospital

Service was fine. I received a bill for $23.56 a full year after I was seen. Paid the bill. Had a payment receipt. Was sent to collections anyway. Absolutely horrible billing department. Avoid at all costs.

The doctors and nurses were terrific but the billing department was terrible. I set up automatic deductions but they mysteriously stopped when my bill reached about $100 and then I received a collections notice. Nice.

Great care but my bill of $9.49 that was not covered by insurance was sent to collections , I was not billed .

To be clear this is a ZERO star review. Swedish Hospital should be ashamed to contract with this group. The customer service and abhorring billing practices is worst in its class. After having my minor child in an auto accident, they provided care at the Swedish ER. The experience was fine. The billing was a NIGHTMARE. The bill however was paid in full through an auto insurance company (not our own) and they denied receiving the payment and sent us to collections. When I called to provide proof of payment including a check number from Pemco they (the company who B.E.P contracts with) REFUSED to even look in to the inquiry as I was not the parent who took our son to the hospital. So even though I called with all the account information, our personal information, AND the check number to close out the bill they wouldnt speak to me. In the days of putting customers first, a health care organization such as Swedish needs to do better.

The care I received the day I broke my collarbone,while quite slow , was adequate. However, I just found out that my bill for 100.00 dollars was sent to collections. Evidently the hospital didnt have the right address. I was sent one statement which was returned and no other attempt was made to contact me when they had my phone number and email address. So now my credit is ruined all because of 100.00 and a lazy billing staff. So watch out they will screw you over in a heart beat.

The actual doctors and technicians in the ER were excellent. I fell after having my achilles tendon and broke my cast at 3am! They were caring and excellent. However, the ER Physicians billing department WERE TERRIBLE. They inputed my address wrong, sent the unpaid bill to collections, and never tried to reach out via the good ol phone to me regarding the unpaid bill! I get a phone call from a debt collector! I never received a bill from Ballard ER Physicians, and did not even know who they were ! My agents at Cigna were apalled at how unprofessional and dishonest Ballard ER Physicians were!!! I am not kidding I spent approximately 6 hours on the phone with cigna trying to sort this mess out! When my cigna agent and I finally spoke to a representative at Ballard ER Physicians, I asked for a statement proving to me that the bill was in deed rectified. The representative was so incredibly RUDE to me and the Cigna rep. The statement from Ballard ER Physicans never arrived. They never sent it! THEY ARE HORRIBLE> UNFORTUNATELY I TOLD MY HUSBAND IN ALL FUTURE EMERGENCIES WE WILL TRAVEL TO ANOTHER ER, AND AVOID THE ER 1/2 BLOCK FROM OUR HOME!!!! Just to avoid BALLARD ER PHYSICIANS. The state should really be investigating them!

Went in a few days after abdominal surgery because of odd bleeding. 9 months later I start receiving phone calls from debt collectors saying I hadnt paid. Ive now spent 10 months going between my insurance and the physicians group attempting to get this rectified. The insurance is furious at them because on five occasions theyve called up Ballard Emergency Physicians to ask what was going on, gotten the situation cleared up only for me to have to call again because Ballard Emergency Physicians wont tell the debt collectors that there is not - and never has been - a debt to collect. Im still being harassed by debt collectors.

Doctors were great, but I have an issue with whoever took my address from my id incorrectly leading to me to receive letters from collections. Apparently the bills were returned to swedish who never thought to attempt to contact me via phone. I did call myself to try and rectify the issue and pay my bill and it was implied Id given the wrong address, which was nice of them.

These people are shady! Theyre trying to get more money out of me after they received payment from Cigna under the condition that receipt of that payment means they should not try to bill me for the balance. Payment to them would be outside the normal medical payments system, not counting toward my deductible or out of pocket maximum.Their behavior seems unethical.

They billed wrong insurance and sent bill to collections. Gave them correct insurance info, which covered 80%. Instead of sending me a bill for patient liability, they immediately sent it to a debt collector that tried to charge interest and harassed me with phone calls. 0/5

I was ill and made the worst decision of going to Ballard emergency. These people keep sending me bills which I do not owe. I have paid everything I owed, and my insurance has assured that I should not be paying more to them than what I already have. I even called the billing ans confirmed how much I owed. However, they keep sending me bills and now have given my information to a collecting agency. These people are corrupt thieves and are tricking people into paying them thousands more than they need to.

I got billed for an ER visit and never actually got the bill in the mail. I never got any other notification until they were about to send my account to collections. Paying online is really difficult and doesnt give you confirmation that you paid your invoice amount.

Went to the ER. Swedish ballard charged my insurance correctly. 3 month later I get a collections notice from a debt collector for $1500. Turns out Ballard Emergency Physicians (who handles billing for the doctors, not the hospital) sent the bill to the wrong address for both my insurance and my house. The debt collector got it right somehow. I then worked for a month to get them connected with my insurance but they just kept saying its being sent over. Finally two days before it is to go to collections, Ive decided to pay the bill out of pocket and wait to reimbursed, which probably never fing happen. These guys sucks, avoid Ballard ER if only to avoid their billing process.

I was shot saving a women and child and crime victoms said they would pay and the radilogy and other dept filed a claim with wrong number attached to it so they would of payed years later i go to refi my home i own free and clear and i have all these unpaid medical bills from being a crime victom my credit is bad because of me saving lives meanwhile the hospitials and collections ruin your life even more
