Earlier this year I began experiencing symptoms related to cervical stenosis. These symptoms caused a lot of pain, discomfort, and neurological difficulties. I noticed my mobility starting to suffer, along with my balance, and energy level. During my evaluation, Dr. Keem was very patient and addressed my questions and concerns. He was thorough and wanted to check multiple neurological functions. He explained my MRI and the source of my symptoms, and he let me know what my procedure would be like: two artificial discs that would allow me to maintain motion, take care of my symptoms, and allow me to return to an active lifestyle without restriction. His expertise and want to be conservative and minimally invasive were clear. Im fortunate to have had such a skillful, compassionate, and professional surgeon. He visited my waiting room before surgery, was there when I woke up, and called my folks to let them know I was OK. I am now seven weeks out and almost 100%. Dr. Keem is the best!

Dr. Keems skill, combined with his imagination, enhanced my life physically and mentally. Im pain free, and no longer burdened with pills, stretching and non-stop nerve irritation. I walk, sit, ride in a car and exercise without issue. Dr. Keem developed an amazing personalized surgery just for me, and I thank him every day for my mobility. Dr. Keem is a wonder.

Dr. Keem is a highly skilled physician and will only perform surgery when necessary. I have the great pleasure to say he literally saved me from a life of pain. I had two surgeries performed; the first was spinal fusion on my lumbar spine and the second was a minimally invasive spine correction. Im so very grateful for Dr. Sean Keem and recommend him highly!

I’d suffered from back pain for over a year because Aetna wouldn’t approve an MRI. When I finally got the MRI it was forwarded as a referral to Dr. Keem. Dr. Keem and his staff reached out over the weekend and immediately got me in for a consultation. After going through all the options and associated prognosis I was able to make an informed decision to proceed with surgery. To say the results were satisfying would be an understatement. The closet thing I can compare this to is when I had Lasik and within 24 hours could see better than I had in years.Almost immediately following spinal surgery my constant pain was gone. I could walk, bend, and do all the simple things I had avoided for over a year. During the follow up visit Dr. Keem took time to go over the surgery and address all my concerns. He was thoughtful, thorough, and attentive.I would have no hesitation seeing Dr. Keem for back issues requiring surgery. He’s truly exceptional and sets the standard.

Dr Keem is fantastic! Cervical surgery, needed metal plate with six screws for repair. Only used some Tylenol after going home, driving cautiously after one week. Seven months after surgery, I am doing great. Working on getting my strength back. I have degenerative discs & need multiple lumbar discs worked on in the future. Dr Keem & his team will be my choice for sure. Really a nice guy too!

Dr. Sean Keem is an awesome and patience doctor. He is honest and truthful but sincere and caring. Twelve years ago I had an option of not walking or having surgery. I opted for the surgery. My surgery was 18 hours long. According to my family, Dr. Keem never left the operating room. He straightened my spine with two rods and 12 metal discs. 10 months later I was healthy and back at work.I thank God every day for blessing me with Dr. Keem and his talent, spirit and care. I will never forget him and what he did for me. I had scoliosis since birth and it was never diagnosed. He took care of me. I am a walking witness to his talented work. This happened in Lawrenceville Georgia on May 3 2006. I wish Dr. Keem well and if you have any doubts, He is the doctor to put your trust in.

I went to Dr. Keem for a second opinion since spinal surgery is such a big deal. I had already chosen a surgeon from a different hospital and just for peace of mind wanted to hear what another surgeon had to say. Dr. Keem was so thorough in his explanation and answered each and every one of my questions. Although the diagnosis and treatment options were exactly what my first surgeon said, I appreciated Dr. Keems explanation of it. He also has a really amazing bedside manner, which makes me feel like I can talk to him open and honestly about my care, which is very important to me. I left my appointment with Dr. Keem deciding to change to him as my primary spinal surgeon/doctor.

He is the best. He operated on me 2 times in Ga. Back and neck. Never had any more problems with either after letting them go without treatment for 17 yrs. I would go where ever he is before I would see anyone else or let them operate on me.

More than ten years ago I learned that I had a broken back. It was something Id been living with for decades, probably since I was a child. At the time, a different surgeon told me that I should wait as long as possible, as surgery at the time was highly invasive. He also told me Id know when it was time- when I couldnt wait any longer. Flash forward about a decade and I started to have nerve issues in my leg and some loss of leg control. Id trip when standing or walking only to see there wasnt anything that had caused me to trip- it was just my leg not responding correctly. With this, I knew it was time for surgery.I looked around at doctors. Back surgery is a huge decision. While Ive had plenty of surgeries before, this time someone would be operating on my spine. Thats not something anyone takes lightly.I chose Dr Keem and only met him once before my surgery. That was fairly intense, but his bedside manner and the staff at the surgery clinic made the experience very worthwhile.I wont pretend it was an easy surgery. It was certainly more intense than anything else Ive had done. But its also a huge life difference. Before my surgery Id slowly gotten to the point where I wouldnt take long walks anymore. I just didnt know if Id find myself unable to go further, so Id cut that out of my life. As this was one of my favorite things to do, I hadnt realized how much my life had changed.Post surgery about 4 months, I traveled overseas and wound up walking 4-6 miles a day without any issue at all. That would have been extremely difficult, if not impossible before.Im glad I chose Dr Keem. My experience with him, his office and his staff has been excellent, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs back surgery.

Dr Keem gave me back my life! My back problems got worse and worse over the years to the point where I gauged my participation in every activity by how much walking I would have to do. Last summer I realized things had taken a turn for the worse right before I went on a cruise. I couldnt take a step without pain, I couldnt walk more than a few feet without having to sit down and I couldnt manage at all without a cane. The minute I got back I called my primary doctor for a referral and met with Dr Keem. My best friend and my niece came with me so that we could compare our feelings about him. Dr Keems manner impressed all three of us very favorably. After listening to his diagnosis and what he wanted to do to fix my problem I had no qualms about putting myself in his hands. Now, six months later, I am driving, walking , exercising and smiling again. Dr Keem is an exceptional; surgeon and his staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr Keem to anyone with spinal problems. Thank you Dr Keem!

I had chronic back pain for decades because of spondylolisthesis. This year I started having leg pain and weakness too. I became inactive and gained 50 pounds. I had L4-5 decompression and correction of spondylolisthesis done by Dr. Keem. He did minimally invasive surgery and I was in the hospital just overnight. Six months later I am a different person. I am pain free and more active than I have ever been. The one-hour surgery that left me a 2 inch incision on my side transformed me to a happier person.

Dr Keem diagnosed and corrected the major cause of my migraines and Laryngeal Spasms caused by severely misaligned and arthritic C4, C5 vertebrae. I have had no pain from the surgery and the Cervical (Neck) Implants by MEDTRONIC that he used. He is very personable and took the time to understand my overall condition ( unlike other specialist I consulted with prior). Additionally with the removal of a very large Cervical Osteophyte (Bone Spur) on the forward side I am now pain and spasm free.
