The hygienists are fantastic however the dentist appears to be exclusively interested in cleanings and exams only! Beware if you don’t have excellent teeth. After pursuing a new dentist I subsequently have been told I require a calcified root canal treatment and have 3 cavities. After years of Banner assuring me that I have “no major” issues and being made to feel like a hypochondriac I have finally found a Dental team that has identified my issues. Moving was my saving grace. I’m still in shock that Banner never anticipated treating my three cavities but merely “watched” them continue to decay. I was a patient of Banner for over 5 years now. What happened to do no harm?

Its weird thinking about going to the doctors office for an elective procedure during COVID, but Dr. Banner and the team at Banner Dental have really gone out of their way to make the experience feel safe. Between a new (and seamless) virtual check in experience, enhanced safety protocols in the room (air purifiers with UV protection, sterilization procedures, etc.), and virtual payment system - this felt completely safe to me. Ive been using Banner Dental now for three years, and dont expect a change any time soon.

I have been a patient at Banner Dental since they opened a few years ago. Yesterday I had my first hygiene cleaning with Becca. She was very thorough and I cannot recommend her or the office higher! I refer all my family and friends to this office and they have had the same experience as I have.

This is my new favorite dentist!The staff were all very friendly and professional. They checked my insurance and made sure my procedure was covered and were very clear about all the charges. I hadnt been to a dentist in a few years and I was quite nervous but they did a wonderful job of making sure I was comfortable. The cleaning was totally pain free! The Dentist is very gentle and patient and even talked me through every step of the exam. I really appreciate that they are open till 7 as I (like most people) have a job that ends at 5:30. They also have dedicated parking!I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood!

I made a new patient appointment for an evaluation and cleaning, which was two months out from the date I called. Based on the glorious reviews on Yelp, I decided it was worth the wait. A couple days before the appointment, they sent me messages to confirm the appointment and fill out new patient paperwork, which I did immediately. Then, a day before the appointment, they called me to say they have a scheduling conflict and wont be able to clean my teeth. They said my option would be to reschedule the appointment for another month out. Very disappointed that they didnt make any effort to make it up or offer a sooner appointment, especially when I did nothing wrong. Terrible experience.

I was looking for a new dentist within my neighborhood, and am so happy to have found Dr. Banner and his friendly team at Banner Dental. I went in for a basic cleaning and to finally do a crown that I had been needing for awhile. Dr. Banner really took the time to thoroughly explain everything that he was doing. The crown fits perfectly and the shading is so exact that you cant even tell it was done.Stepping into their office feels more like walking into a stylish living room, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Everyone seems really happy and relaxed, which is a change from my previous office!Each of the exam rooms is private, and equipped with TVs. The dental assistant was super sweet, making sure I was comfortable and offered me a pillow and blanket during the treatment.The other great thing about this office is that they offer early morning, evening and Saturday appointments.I highly recommend Banner Dental to anyone looking for top notch care.

Seattle Public School teachers come here! They are wonderful. I thought I might need tons of dental work, and ended up needing a deep cleaning only. They are thorough, kind, and sensitive to your worries. Dr. Banner examined me and did not make me feel bad about the fact that I hadnt seen a dentist in over 10 years. Shanna has cleaned my teeth twice and explains all needs and procedures. She patiently helps me understand my dental insurance and the prices are very reasonable. I appreciate this practice! Cant say enough about how wonderful and efficient they are.

I do not enjoy dentist visits in the least, but after my experience at Banner Dental I can confidently say I will be back, as the entire staff was kind and courteous, and did everything to ensure my appointment was comfortable but also was a complete and thorough examination. I was impressed by the facility and the offerings available (including Netflix, dont pick a comedy) and the tools and techniques used by the staff on site. I can honestly recommend Banner Dental to anyone who looks at dentist appointments with trepidation or even fear, youre in good hands.

This new office is located in the Greenwood neighborhood, close to the Fred Meyer. The area offers plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The atmosphere is clean and inviting. I appreciated the professionalism of Lael Banner and of his team. I especially liked my hygienist, Shana. I will return there in 6 months for my next cleaning.

Excellent! The service provided by both Dr. Banner and Mackenzie, dental assistant, was friendly, professional and thorough. The office is brand new and very comfortable. I was in and out in about an hour for a first time visit, and I feel assured that my teeth are in good hands!

Staff incredibly rude. Called in for an emergency was told they could get me in. I came in and they said it was a consultation not an appointment. When a customer calls with an emergency who sets up a consultation???I ended up going to Brenner Dental Care that day got taken care of right away and the staff was incredibly nice. Skip this place. Rude. They don’t care about patients.

Dr. Banner and his staff are great. I was quite overdue for a cleaning and was hesitant to go to the dentist because I was slightly embarrassed and had some negative experiences in the past. Before the appointment, they were proactive in making sure that they had all the correct information to bill insurance. During the appointment, Dr. Banner was friendly and straight forward. The woman who cleaned my teeth did a great job and was cautious to not use too much pressure. I never felt judged for my lapse in dental care and left knowing what I need to do to have healthy teeth.

Everyone on staff was knowledgable and helpful! Usually I only see the dentist at the end of my cleaning for just a few minutes, but that was not the case here. I couldnt be more impressed with Banner Dental and its staff. I saw the other reviews on Google and thought Id give it a try as it had been a couple years since Ive been to the dentist and Ive been reluctant to go. Their receptionist was great and got me an appointment for a Saturday which was an added bonus since my work schedule makes week day visits almost impossible. From the time I walked through the doors I knew that this place valued customer service and making everyone feel welcome. From the staff to the design of the building, every thing was professional and inviting. Banner Dental is wonderful! It is so close to my house that I can walk and I couldnt be happier. I even stop in from time to time with my dog or baby just to say Hi. Dr. Banner and his team are very professional, thorough, and prompt. Dr. Banner did my cleaning himself and discussed all of my teeth and what my options were for treatment. I was given an estimate and follow up appointments were easily scheduled. He made sure my crown fit properly and even sent it back to the lab for a resize and got me back in the same day to minimize my pain and inconvenience!My insurance gave them an incorrect quote on the work I had done. They discounted the difference so that I did not have any unexpected costs.I am so glad we have such a quality dentist right here in Greenwood.

Im a fairly new patient of Dr. Banners, and so far my experience has definitely exceeded my expectations! Im on a program where I pay a small monthly fee and my cleanings are covered, which is nice since I pay out of pocket. The office is easy to get to and theres plenty of parking. Its also super clean and modern, (you can watch netflix while getting your work done.) Dr. Banner has a sort of dorky Dad vibe and is nice but also professional. The dental assistants are really nice and gentle, and my mouth didnt feel like it had been violated after my first cleaning. Im doing Invisalign and Mackenzie has been really knowledgeable and informative about the process and what to expect. My former dentist didnt offer Invisalign so its nice to be able to take care of all things mouth related in one place. Ive never waited more than a few minutes for my appointments. Amber at the front desk is an appointment scheduling genius. When you open the door, its like walking into a dental reality show. The office is really nice and everyone who works there is friendly and attractive. (This has nothing to do with the dental care, just wanted to mention it:)Thanks Dr. Banner! Honestly, the best experience ive had at the dentist....ever?? very relaxed and informative. good communication. very empathetic and intelligent staff. i was comfortable and the pricing structure was very reasonable. no surprise charges, they were very up-front about the cost(s) and my options. Plus, they have televisions with netflix to distract you while theyre poking around your mouth, which was surprisingly nice. i got to focus on cartoons instead of the drill. i will be back and i will be recommending this place to all my friends.

Everything was up to the highest standards and allowed for a efficient experience.2. The staff is awesome! Genevieve (office coordinator) was extremely friendly. The team also immediately responded to my inquiry when I asked for an appointment. She checked my insurance before I arrived and made sure I felt well informed about my costs. MacKenzie (dental assistant) was very kind and professional. She made sure I felt comfortable and explained anything I had questions on.3. Dr. Banner was GREAT. He obviously takes pride in his work and his office. He explained what he was doing for each procedure. He treated me at the beginning of the appointment. It was nice to see the doctor immediately, because I have experienced that the dentist would only really stop by to check and then leave. When recommending a procedure for me, he made sure that I was informed about the cost so I could make a good decision. He was not pushy or forceful with his recommendations and you could tell he truly cared about my teeth and well being.4. I found my dentist!I did a search for dentists in Seattle and found Dr. Banner. I read some reviews and this guy is legit.His office and facilities are über clean and modern. I hadnt been to a dentist in a few years and wasnt necessarily looking forward to it.Dr. Banner and his staff are super friendly and professional, and they made me feel at ease.- X-Rays: theyre digital. Fewer are required and I could see the results in real time.- Check-up & cleaning: quick, easy, and painless.- Questions I had were answered entirely, and in a way I could completely understand.They also have in-house teeth whitening which is quick and as inexpensive as Ive seen.I researched other dentists, and Im sure they do a fine job. Its just that the going rate in this area for new patient x-rays, checkup, and cleaning is $300-340ish.Dr. Banners new patient rate of $75 just made it a much easier decision.

I had my first cleaning at Banner Dental and loved the experience. The staff was of course very knowledgeable and current with the best dental practices. I also loved that they ran the business in a very professional way. They had pre-checked with my insurance to see what was covered to make sure I was aware of any out of pocket costs. The use of technology in the visit was also a really nice touch. And of course the friendly staff and beautiful office made the experience perfect.

My first visit here was for a cleaning and full mouth x-rays. They were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them for anyone.If youre ever squeamish or nervous it helps that they have Beatles music and TV which projects paintings of outdoor scenes. You can lay back, relax, and trust them to do their work. Additionally, theyre very approachable and will take time to answer any questions or concerns you have.Highly recommended!

Great new dental office! Squeaky clean, just how dental offices should be. Staff is great and very friendly, especially the receptionist. They definitely make you feel welcomed here. I tried Banner dental after being a client of my old dentist for years. I loved my old dentist too, but my awesome hygienist moved out of state. Dr. Banner is great at explaining each step and providing explanations for recommended treatment. The staff also takes the time to check your insurance coverage before applying treatments which is alway reassuring. They have a great new client special with an option for a free Sonicare. Mine just so happened to be on its way to retirement so the new client special worked out great. Thanks Dr. Banner!

Dr. Banner and his staff made this the most stress-free dental exam Ive ever had. From the beginning, I was able to book through email, and, Amber, the associate who helped me book, was very responsive and provided several dates for both me and my toddler. My actual cleaning was easy - they use a newer cleaning tool for removing tarter and it was much gentler than anything I had experienced at other dentists. I really appreciated that Dr. Banner did not try to upsell me on orthodontics or additional services. Plus, if you have anxiety about going to the dentist like I do, the rooms have TV screens above the exam chairs to distract you with your favorite Netflix show. Ill update my review after I take my toddler for her visit in October.

PROS: Banner Dental has been the positively most unique dentist experience that Ive had, and it was a good one. Dr. Banner takes the time to give your teeth and gums a thorough investigation, using metrics-based techniques to assess health. Whats more, Dr. Banner will also explain what hes doing, like why hes poking your teeth/gums and exclaiming 2-2-3, 3-2-3, 3-3-3 per tooth. Ill tell you this, it wasnt any of the following:1. Combinations to his secret dentist safe, with unlimited access to his cavity-free stickers and floss goody-bags2. Base 5 cryptogram message encoded onto my teeth3. His phone number.4. My phone number.5. The price to clean each tooth (e.g. 2-2-3 = $2.23).SPOILER ALERT: It was actually measurements of your gums in millimeters, and the higher the number, the higher risk of having gingivitis you have!The whole visit was done in a manner similar to this, where Dr. Banner would take some unnamed metal instrument with a curvy squiggly tip that looks more like a stencil for making kindergarten-quality Ss than a dental tool, put it in your mouth, and then inform you that it helps to clean the plaque near the gums on your molars.I was a big fan of this methodology as it provided context to what he was doing and I felt confident in Dr. Banners competence and ability to improve the health of my teeth and gums.On top of that, he and his staff are pleasant, and despite it being 7:00 a.m., they were cheery and eager to make conversation with me. What stood out most of all, though, wasnt their easygoing, welcoming cheer, but their verbal restraint. Specifically, they, unlike most dentists/dental assistants, didnt feel compelled as if by some divine power to ask me a response provoking question immediately after filling my mouth with cotton swabs and whizzy-noised spinny dentist cleany things. They waited until I could actually speak to ask me a question like that.Overall, fantastic experience.CONS: They said I need to floss more.
