I did not get a bad hair cut but I did not get what was requested/promised. For what you end up paying for color + styling + tip, clients are hoping to rely on the experts to execute the vision.The cut ended up 2-3 inches shorter than originally agreed. It was first cut to the desired length but got A LOT shorter as the stylist detailed at the end to get the style closer to the desired effect. To the stylists credit, they put in a lot of heart towards detailing it so it looked infinitely better but could have been achieved at a longer length. Secondly, after sleeping on it, the coloring of the balayage came out somewhat vague or muddied to the point where it looks more random than professionally done. The colorist assured me at the time they understood the intent of the reference images were provided. Again, for what you will be paying at this salon and the clout, the delivery should have been there.

This was my first time going to this salon and I was very impressed. Their staff was friendly and helpful not to mention a great hairdresser! I did not regret choosing this salon for the first time!

Laura was amazing!! I havent had a good haircut in over 15 years. She is a gifted hair sculptress....she gave me exactly what I wanted, she is intuitive and senses what youre looking for, asked the right questions, and delivered. I couldnt be happier with my haircut. THANK YOU!!! I will definitely be coming back.

Whoever spoke with me today at noon lost Justine a $50 tip over a 10 minute but $25 difference. They said because I wanted to completely change my do and because I had long thick hair. What if I chopped it off and shaped it off myself and had her trim it up? It’s so silly but ok. I’m sure others have had a fabulous experience with them.

Ive been lucky enough to get my hair done at this location twice now. Both times I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism the decor and The talented team of stylists. It seems everyone has their own specialty and they can make almost anything happen. I highly recommend!

This was my first haircut since Covid, and Fringe/Laura both exceeded my expectations. Fringe was wonderful at rescheduling my appointment due to snow. They have implemented Covid protocols - masks at entry, hand sanitizer at entry, and lower capacity; these precautions definitely made me feel more comfortable (thank you!).This was my first haircut with Laura and she delivered. She listened to what I was looking and worked her magic. Also, whatever shampoo/conditioner she used on my hair made it noticeably shinier and softer. I would definitely recommend seeing Laura for your hair needs!

I had a late evening appointment. They were very professional taking Covid 19 precautions and making all customers wear fresh masks which they provided. The hair stylist was a perfectionist, which is an excellent trait when giving a hair cut. She made any adjustments I asked for and my hair looked exactly how I hoped it would. It was a little expensive, but on park with Seattle.

I’ve been seeing Nicki Baldwin for years and trust no one else with my hair. She’s great at listening to what I want and executing on a vision. I always walk away feeling great. If you want a great hair day, go see Nicki!

I wanted to like this place and everyone initially seemed nice enough but I had a few concerns. I had a balayage done and we talked about fading into my natural color at the top for easy grow out (there was plenty of natural roots to accomplish this). I ended up getting color that went all the way to the top, leaving no roots and a sharp line that looked horrible while growing out. Also, the color itself was not what we had talked about. The stylist had pictures of hair she had done that looked beautiful so I know she’s capable but it must have been a bad day. This is not why I rated them a one star though. I really wanted to give them another try since they are so close to my house so I let them know about my concerns but the lady I talked to was so rude. I was kind and respectful and they basically told me “too bad.” It’s pretty sad when a place takes such little pride in their work that they could care less about their customers’ satisfaction. From the picture, you can see the grow out... obviously not balayage done right.

Without a doubt, Christina is my favorite colorist in Seattle. She is very detail-oriented and talented. Every single time I have gotten my hair done by her, my expectations were not only met but exceeded. Although she has a limited schedule, booking her is so worth it if you have weekday availability. Highly recommend getting a balayage and/or foils from her!

I had a fantastic haircut with James. Even though my explanation of the cut I was after was uh, less than eloquent, James understood what I was trying to express and absolutely nailed the long layers style I wanted. He was so careful and attentive to the haircut, and I felt I could relax and trust my hair was in good hands -- and it was! I walked out of Fringe so, so much happier with my hair!

I am in love!! I recently got my hair cut and colored by Sam and she did a marvelous job! I wanted a change and she definitely gave me that & more! I am obsessed with my cut and the color is just luxurious. I got an ombre caramel color with a mid length cut and it came out perfect! The staff is very nice and helpful, too. The salon is fun to be in and theres so much to look at! Very cool :) This is the best salon Ive been to in Boston!

I called for an appointment and specified that I wanted to do a balayage, and they scheduled me for 7pm. Then they contacted me asking if I could come in at 6.15pm instead of 7pm. When I got there at around 6.10pm and showed them a picture of what I wanted, the person that was supposed to be my colorist told me that they thought I came in just for a touch up (even though I called for a balayage???) and that I was going to need to reschedule for a different time since it was going to take longer instead of honoring the appointment, despite the mistake being on their end. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I just would want others to be aware of their unprofessional scheduling skills before they waste their time coming here too.

Will definitely be coming back for any and all of my hair care needs! Thanks again! he prices are far more reasonable than any shop around and the quality is by far at its extreme best.

I am new to the WA area and was panicking about finding a new salon since I have very thick hair. Called today to see if there was an opening with Justine since I had heard so many good things about her. Luckily they did and I also got a discount for being a new client! The salon is very cute and clean. They offer you tea/water which was great!Justine was so nice and knew exactly what I wanted. She asked all of the right questions and made sure I loved it. She did an amazing job and this is now my go-to salon! Thank you Justine! :)

DO NOT recommend. I have been going to that place for few years. They keep asking you to come back to get the result you want but it never got even close to what I wanted. Every time they make me yellow. Waste of money. Not to mention that the master couldn’t even do the curls. Go somewhere else and do not waste your money.

I had a haircut by Laura. Liked her personally. Hair looked great when she was done.She dragged the scissors down the hair as I recall. After 2 days I noticed the thin whispy strands, made by the shearing technique she used. I look ridiculousness. Thin little strands...This is not good for the hair. Blunt cut layers are in, not what she did.

I absolutely love this salon! Justine is awesome and is great to talk to. She always gets my hair perfect and even when she does something a little different than I was thinking it always ends up being even better than what I was thinking. I will continue to use this salon and highly recommend them!

Update: The owner was very accommodating to the bad experience that I had. She left a voicemail to say that they were able to give me a 100% refund or touchup without charge.Wow...one of the worst haircut experiences I ever had. My barber was so sloppy with the haircut, and came back looking like a dog chewed on my hair. Very uneven. Place is way overpriced for that quality of a haircut. Knew things went wrong when she took out the uneven scissors to cut the top of my hair. You usually use that in the front of the hair when you’re using product, never the top. By war the worst haircut experience I ever had.

Ive been seeing Kassie here for about a year now and thought it was time to write a review. I am so happy to have found a salon in my neighborhood with a stylist/colorist who knows what I like and does a fantastic job every time! The scheduling is easy and I always enjoy going for a walk around Green Lake afterwards as an added bonus (and show off my refreshed hair). I also just got a hair cut from Laura for the first time and she did an amazing job. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for stylists that are interested in getting to know you and your hair!

Ive been seeing Christina for my balayage for about a year now and she does amazing work! I recently tried the express keratin treatment from her and my hair feels amazing! Styling has been cut in half since the treatment. I suggest if you have fly aways and frizz to try the keratin, you wont be disappointed!

The fringe hair salon is hands down the best salon I have ever been to! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere comfortable. Jaylin does my color and balayage and it always turns out amazing! I love my haircuts there as well. I havent had the same person each time, but I have never had a bad cut there and left happy every time!

Jazmine and Shylo have been doing my hair for some time---they actually do the hair of three of my best friends as well. I have NEVER had so many compliments on my hair as with the cut and color I get from them. People have stopped me in airports and restaurants and at the grocery store--and more to the point: The doo I am sporting really feels like...ME. I like feeling at home in my hair.
