Visited Dr. Johnson with a hip problem, and he quickly identified some major weaknesses and lack of flexibility I had in my legs. Through a combination of adjustments, massage, and strength exercises twice per week, he not only greatly helped my hip, but by discovering and helping me fix some major leg problems, he unknowingly added about 30 yards to my golf swing. My legs were always locked up, unable to fire during my swing. Now, my legs are fully incorporated. That, and being able to go on car drives without my hip locking up within 30 minutes has been great. Dr J is like a chiropractor, and high level personal trainer built into one. He’s in such great shape himself, you know you’re in good hands.

This is just what I was looking for. A consultation/exam and an adjustment. Dr. Johnson is straightforward and did just what I asked.

Dr.Johnson is very professional and knowledgeable in his chiropractic work. He was able to alleviate years of pain from an old sports injury. Dr.Johnson applied different techniques rather than just one method, and helped me out tremendously. He has also helped my wife who had serious pain issues. Went in with acute low back pain and muscle spasms - I was unable to stand straight up while walking or lay down on my back with my legs straight without discomfort. Not only did he work me in with just a couple of hours notice for a same day appointment, Dr. Johnson spent adequate time with me as a new patient and I left walking much better and had less muscle spasms and tightness. I first went to Dr. Joe when I was training for an OCR event. I blew out my shoulder and thought I had just thrown away months of hard training. He found it wasnt my shoulder (the top of my shoulder was killing me), but a muscle under my shoulder blade. Two treatments and some tape and I was safe to compete.He has since helped me through hip problems, a sore Achilles, and a different shoulder issue. Ive refereed friends and family, including my 93-year old father, who would walk out of a treatment about an inch taller every time.He teaches you about your body and what hes doing, and he gives you lots of exercises to do to help yourself. I know this might sound cliche, but he is the Real Deal.And one last thing, you dont have to be an athlete to benefit from Joes work. Most of the people Ive referred are not.

I wasnt looking for a new chiropractor but Dr. Johnson was referred to me. Im so glad I decided to give him a chance. We talked throughly about the issues I was having and he devised a plan for my treatments. Now as we all know you have to go through some pain to get to healing. It was rough the first session but I have to say Dr Johnson got right to my issues and Ive been feeling a lot better. Dr. Johnson is an amazing practitioner. I was on vacation with terrible pain from a pinched nerve. I happened to contact XCEL as my first call for help and Dr. Johnson was able to see me the following day. He was thorough with his assessment and treatment plan. I was able to get in for 2 additional appointments before I flew home which was a life saver. When I first came into the office, I couldnt sit without pain. I hurt my back lifting a tennis ball machine. One of my patients recommended Dr Johnson. It was very easy to book an appointment on short notice online- a bonus!Dr J listened to my description of pain/history, then did a thorough exam including range of motion and neural testing before treatment. He used several techniques of myofascial release before adjusting my spine. He gave me several exercises to do at home, to preserve the change. I was 75-80% better from the first treatment, and 100% better after the second session a week later. Dr Johnson has excellent skills, and pays close attention to you as a person. I came here because of a sharp pain in my neck along with some tightness/discomfort in my upper back. Doc is beyond your usual in and out adjustment chiropractor. He is focused on reducing pain/pain management. I went to see him for a degenerative hamstring tendonosis tear. He did dry needling, electric stim and light Graston. He is beyond the box and wants to help his clients get out of pain. Thats exactly what he did, my pain is nearly diminished. I felt great within a few hours. His ability to provide a rehabilitative approach, his knowledge and his care to his clients is the best. Excellent, highly recommend him.
