Dr. Secrest is one of a kind! He has treated my daughter for knee pain on a few occasions over the past several years. He kindly manages to fit us in to his schedule whenever we need her to be seen. I have been seeing Dr. Dan for about a year; primarily for maintenance at this point, but also when something seems out of whack. I have an extremely crazy busy schedule so working in an appointment for what might seem to some as somewhat elective at times, Im always SO glad I went as Im leaving his office. BEWARE - Anti-vaccination physician.What could have been a good experience was unfortunately ruined by some of Dans opinions on vaccinations that I did not ask for. He seemed to try to appear neutral, but he is clearly against vaccines. I went in for lower back/sciatic pain due to my pregnancy, and I suppose he took that as an invitation to educate me and my husband on the truth of vaccines not just once, but throughout my appointment. He became very adamant about what your OB/GYN doesnt want you to know when my husband left the room, which I thought was inappropriate.He is NOT an MD and is spreading the usual misinformation that anti-vaxxers like to spread, insofar as to say that heavy metals in vaccines cause autism, which has been debunked so many, many times.Besides all that, he just sort of proclaims his opinions in public areas (adjustments take place behind a half-wall partition by the front desk), including how exaggerated he thinks COVID is. He was wearing a mask, but pulled it down consistently, and none of his other office staff were wearing one.Needless to say, I was disappointed in my experience.

I was referred to Dr. Dan by a co-worker for back and neck pain. I felt comfortable almost immediately on my first visit. The entire staff is welcoming and friendly. Dr. Dan was very thorough and able to pin point the areas that were causing my pain and the adjustments and massage therapy I have received since then have provided significant pain relief and improvement in my range of motion. He is very knowledgeable, personable and professional. A week ago, I injured my lower back and SI joint. I was in such excruciating pain that my waist and hip were “stuck” and I could hardly move and sit. Being new to Scottsdale, I didn’t know of any chiropractors in town. However, I did my research and found Dr. Dan Secrest of Secrest Family Chiropractor. Dr. Secrest was able to see me immediately. He spent a considerable amount of time during my first visit, diagnosing the issues I had, and immediately started treating me using various techniques, which included trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, massager, manual adjustment and kinesio taping. He also showed me exercises to do on my own. After my second visit with him, the pain was reduced drastically, and miraculously, my body was almost back to normal! I was able to sit and move around with very little discomfort, and I didn’t need to take any more pain medication.I have seen many chiropractors in the last 10 years, and I would say that not only is Dr. Secrest very knowledgeable, but he genuinely wants to help his patients and so he takes the time to understand the nature of his patient’s injury so he can help them recover. What I like about his practice is that the office is very welcoming and family friendly. Additionally, he also has the benefit of having three massage therapists in his practice to complement his chiropractic treatment.Anyone who get to be treated by Dr. Dan Secrest is very lucky!

WARNING ***PLEASE DON’T GO HERE!***This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with chiropractors. Please do yourself a favor and don’t go here. The worst office people I’ve ever experienced. More concerned with paperwork than the patient in severe pain. They gave me an appointment and I drove 35 minutes to get there and they turned me away because not enough time for paperwork. I was 5 minutes early. Seriously in pain and spent over an hour to this place just to be treated horrible. Pure scammers and office was empty. No heart what so ever about a person in severe pain.Luckily I found one of the best chiropractors in Tempe and office help we’re all about helping patient and not paperwork.

Dr Dan and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly and kind, very welcoming. I was travelling for work and he fit me in immediately, he helped me get through a very painful week, and I was able to fly home with much less pain - I cant say enough about how professional and effective he is! Highly recommend his practice :).

Dr. Dan is attentive, intuitive, empathetic and an all around excellent chiropractor! Being a caterer and server for years has given me issues in my lower back. Bending forward sometimes causes severe pain in that area, but Dr. Dan works efficiently and effectively to correct the problem whenever it arises. I can count on him to alleviate the discomfort completely within a few visits. However I always leave his office feeling better than when I went in. Sometimes, when needed, he will apply Rock Tape to the area which offers great support while it heals. I have been a patient of Dr. Dans for years and would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Secrest is kind, helpful, thoughtful, and he listens to what your body needs. On the first visit he read me like a book and intuitively knew the source of my pain. He gave a thorough evaluation including assessment of my energy meridians, alignments, and measurements. A few manipulations and some soft tissue work later, I felt free from pain. I have been back each week in the last month and I am progressively better. He gave me stretches and cell salts to enhance my healing as well. Dr. Dan is the best I have seen in 30 years! My first appointment with Dr. Dan Secrest was a blessed experience. As crazy as it sounds, I believe Dr. Dan saved my life. When I walked into his clinic the first time, I honestly felt, energetically speaking, like I couldnt go on. Every part of my body ached and I had all to do to hold up my head while Dr. Dan asked me an array of questions. When that part was over with, Dr. Dan did what he does best. He made a few adjustments, used a certain instrument that worked with my meridians and finally brought in one of his massage therapist to work on my neck and shoulders. When the session was over with, I literately felt 100% better and looked straight into his eyes and told him that I think he saved my life. Though I had know Dr. Dan for years, Ive never made a appointment for myself. I only wished I had seen him sooner.

I have had several not so great experiences with Chiropractors in the past so I was rather skeptical when scheduling my first appointment with Dr. Dan. On my first visit I was welcomed by friendly staff and could clearly see and feel that this was a facility meant for healing.I initially saw Dr. Dan for a neck/migraine issue which has plagued me for over 20 years. I had developed a fatalistic attitude of “Oh well, just have to deal with it for the rest of my life” and really did not expect much to change. After just one visit I felt some of the pressure releasing and could see some hope of a future without chronic pain. Now after seeing Dr. Dan for several months my migraines have decreased in frequency and severity and I feel fabulous overall.Thanks to Dr. Dan and his wonderful staff, I am now becoming more active and planning to hike the Grand Canyon this fall without fear of impairment. I was referred to Dr. Dans practice through a friend, who recommended him to glowing reviews that peaked my interest. More than just chiropractic, Dr. Dan has a holistic approach to wellness. I find his knowledge, manner and approach are just what I was looking for in a spine doctor or a health care practitioner in general. In just 3 visits I feel much better, my slouchy posture is correction oriented in my daily life. I went in complaining of pain my neck and spine between the shoulders due to being tall and hunched over at work and at home on the computer. Both areas are in a state of steady improvement. My Chicago kinesiologist is a Koren Specific Technique practitioner, she gave me Dr. Secrests information and I have been very pleased with the services provided and outcomes. First I am a fan of integrating massage therapy with the chiropractic treatments, Connie is an excellent therapist and her work complements Dr. Secrests treatment that follows. Second Dr. Secrest has that intuitive sense of where your body needs alignment, accompanied with supplements that he sells in-office (or you can purchase on Amazon). A digital record is kept of each body part treated, updated by the patient on each visit. This ensures a continuity of treatment that I take confidence in and the results have been consistently positive. It is easy to make appointments, this patient is treated professionally and in a timely manner with good value for money. Highly recommended.

Dr Dan is great! I have been working with various doctors for over two years to overcome chronic pain from an accident. Dr Dan was able to identify the problem areas and I am seeing improvement in my mobility and a reduction in my pain.
