After a mediocre pixie haircut at another salon, I found David Frank Salon and I am very happy with the haircut. Frank did a great job delivering what I was looking for. Watching him cut my hair seemed like this was a piece of cake for him.

She goes above and beyond from the moment she washes your head and rubbing your scalp to giving her clients the most perfect haircut they can get. She pays a lot of attention to all details and being able to get her to cut my hair feels like a blessing.On a side note this salon easily sells the perfect hair spray! 👌It has a strong hold without making your hair look like plastic or greasy.Oh and the pricing is more than fair. They are currently closed due to the virus but I am really looking forward to David Frank Salon re-opening. They are the only salon I have gone to since I moved to Arizona 5 years ago. I always get complements on my hair, the color and the cut. And even though I am not very good at styling it myself, even I can make it look reasonably nice. Stay Safe David and Frank! Lexxi did an awesome job with my hair. Not kidding, this is probably the best haircut Ive ever received. She understands layers and bangs. I came in with really long thick damaged hair, and she transformed it. Shes open to conversation but understands if you just want to sit there and relax in silence, which I appreciate.

Love this salon! You can find a less expensive place to get your hair cut....however, Frank is one of the BEST stylists Ive ever had. My hair is thick, curly and naturally grey. Frank keeps my cut stylish while working with my hairs natural tendencies. I say its well worth it❤❤

Haley is excellent - she has been by stylist for many years now and shes on point every time. My best experience with her was when she did my up-do for my wedding. We did several trials and the up-do I ended up having her do was stunning and stayed perfectly my entire wedding day! My hair is heavy, fine, and hard to deal with and she made it perfect. Additionally, David is an amazing color specialist. Frank has been doing my husbands hair for 10+ years and has not once received a bad haircut. This salon is top notch in every aspect.

The stations are David and Franks own personal design and brought to you from the very talent and pride that they have cultivated into their craft. I have had David correct my botched up color and gave me a look that was so natural that I have been told that it has removed years from my face. Its a great place to go if you want an updated look and feel like a million bucks.

I am extremely impressed with David Frank Salon!! It was easy to book my appointment online and the staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. I had my hair cut by Haley and colored by David. The color was spectacular! He is by far the best Colorist I have ever been too. The cut was very good too. Finally a Stylist that knows have to give a good trim without taking too much off. This is the only Salon in Scottsdale that I will be going to from now on. Thanks David and Haley!!

I am so happy to have found David & Frank Salon! I am very low maintenance when it comes to highlighting my hair and absolutely love how my highlights grow out so naturally when David colors my hair. David manages to give me full body highlights that grow out naturally with unnoticeable roots! I get compliments on my hair color even after the highlights have grown out! I also love how Frank cuts my hair. He is honest about how much I should cut off to make it look its best and he is always right! My hair is healthier and better looking than it has ever been. This salon is very different from your average salon. Its a quiet, intelligent place where the customer is taken seriously, and gossip is at a minimum. Both David and Frank are true professionals with many years of experience and a willingness to learn new things.They are also fun to talk to. Theyre good listeners to what you want, and really try to give it to you and/or make constructive and honest suggestions.And this place is CLEAN.

David has been the premiere colorist in the metro Phoenix area over a decade. I have been his client for at least 10 years and I have never had any complaints just . beautiful highlights, coloring ... a true artist. I was thrilled when they opened the new location so close to me, as I had been driving across town, but hes worth it.Im new to Frank, but hes also amazing. Certainly no complaints from me!! Their salon is well lit, modern, immaculate and easily accessible with parking a few steps away. I dont understand how easily I can get appointments when I need to, but somehow they always seem to make it work, no matter how little of a window of time I have. Its truly rare to find the combination of talent, excellent customer service and affordability in this industry ~ and they have it.

Have had a haircut and blow dry from Haley and Cassidy. Both looked great, some of the best blow drys Ive had. I recommend them both.

David and Frank are perfect geniuses. I left their salon with the absolute perfect color and cut Ive ever had in my entire life, and Ive been getting my hair done at high-end salons for 13 years now. In fact, Im so picky and impossible to please that never before have I been 100% happy with both a color and cut upon leaving....until I met David and Frank. They take the time to talk to you and figure out what you like and dont like, how you style your hair, what products you use, etc. And then they work their incredible skill. On top of it all, theyre pleasant to talk too and the salon has a comfortable ambiance, but most of all its their artistry that speaks for itself.

Frank gave me an amazing haircut! I had dry, damaged hair from going blonde in the past (my hair is almost black naturally) and Frank gave me the chop I was afraid of for so long-- a blunt lob! it looks amazing and I am still loving it even after the newness wore off!I was getting frequent trims for the last year trying to avoid getting a major cut because I wanted to grow my hair out long like it used to be. I went in for a consultation and shared my past hair experiences as well as my problem areas. My hair was all different lengths, breaking, split, dry-- just awful!I wanted a blunt cut that was all the same length, but I was nervous before the consultation because every time I had gotten my haircut in the past, stylists would add layers. I would hate it! I once cried after a short haircut. This time, I walked out of the salon with the best haircut Ive ever had. He listened to exactly what I wanted and made me look better than I expected!Now my hair feels healthy, full-- I barely recognize its integrity! I finally feel like it will actually grow back nicely again, and who knows, I may even keep this style permanently! No more split ends, no more dryness, no more breakage! I am SO pleased and will definitely be returning for another haircut with Frank!

Beautiful salon, and the employees are wonderful and friendly. I was there with a friend to get her hair done, and she ended up with a style that looks stunning on her. They took all of her concerns into consideration, and she got exactly what she was looking for. I know for sure well both be back in! I cant say enough amazing things about this place.

Excellent 5☆ haircut with Frank after a 5☆ wash that exceeds experiences at high cost salons (Manhattan, Phx, Scottsdale). David Frank is a relaxing, comfortable, well-managed salon whose reputation relies on expertise of cuts/color (Frank/David respectively). I appreciate the absence of up-selling of services or products either before or after my services were performed (although I asked if a keratin treatment was needed, but assistant explained the reasons why my hair didnt need it - much appreciated). Here, you will find focused, expert service, not glitzy hype.

I have a lot of wavy/curly hair and wear it naturally. I had gotten a haircut that was meant for someone that spends a lot of time straightening and blowing out. I hated it, so I made an appointment to have it fixed because my friend told me that Frank would make me feel beautiful.I showed Frank a picture, he asked me a few questions, we had a conversation about Italy and just like that he was done. It was perfect and I indeed felt beautiful. Relaxed professionalism, Im hooked.

Such an awesome looking salon, very lofty and bright. Not too big and not too small. The owners are super nice, and Haley gave me the best haircut Ive had in a while. Plus, she does blowouts at a price I can afford. I may never blow my own hair dry again lol. She gives an amazing shampoo as well.

I enjoy every part of the experience--the color, the haircut, the blowdry, the atmosphere, even the conversation. Dave has been doing my hair for as long as I can remember. I always get compliments on my hair. The salon has a great vibe and the stylists are all super talented.

I just moved to the area and was hopeful this would be a good experience. It was NOT. I have had ombre in my hair for about 2 years now, and was wanting to tone it down a bit. I asked for low lights and instead got highlights. I warned them my hair has a natural red undertone and was assured it would be addressed with a toner. It wasnt. After waiting 24 hours, I was still so unhappy with it that I tried to fix it with box dye today. It is better but I miss my previous hair color so much :( It was a pretty blonde in my medium brown hair. Now I have to find another place to try and fix it, and I suspect shell out another 150. Save your money and go elsewhere.As for my cut.. it is OK. Falls a bit funny.. but I can wait for a few months before I try to fix it.Note: I have changed my review rating due to the excellent response from the salon owner. I sadly did not see his response prior to having it corrected elsewhere. Otherwise I would have happily went back for correction from the salon owners. Thank you Frank. Great customer service.

I get my hair done every 5 weeks and want quality product on my hair to keep it healthy. You get that here! You wont regret coming here!!!

Ultimately, this place is not any better than any other medium upscale salons. I went to this place because Yelp had fantastic reviews and thought I should give it a try. My hair is short and brown. Hits right on top the shoulder. My past cuts have been everything I seem to not ask for. Blended layers that make my hair poof and round out on the bottom. I always say I do not want this and end up getting this anyways. This is frustrating and had not had a good hair experience in years. I usually end up having two or three hairstylist to help fix the other one hoping one of them would listen.Well, I called to make an appointment. I was specific in asking for a stylist who has creative imagination and an all over color to hide the highlights. The girl taking my call seemed bubbly and young. There was some slowness with the computer to locate an open appt time. After a few minutes, I made an appt with Haylie. The appt was nearly two weeks later. When the day came, I tried not to expect too much but inside I hope this will be the right stylists for me. I arrived on time. The salon looks like any other nice salon. A short while after, my hair was being washed by one of the shampoo girls. At this moment, I knew the booking was done incorrectly and had one of those feelings like this was a bad idea. While my hair was being washed, there was extra towel laid under my neck and a support box in the sink so my neck didnt strain. The person washing my hair was gentle and didnt stick her nails in my scalp nor firmly dig in while smothering product in my hair. This was the best part.Afterwards, I met Haylie. she was still working with another client when I arrived. Haylie was nice and sweet but not the right personality for me. Her first question was the one I dreaded. What are we doing today? Knew she didnt have much creativity because hair stylists with not much experience ask that to start off. I should have just walked away but a small part of me was optimistic. She tried to make small talk but the connection wasnt there. She cut my hair offering to give more defined layers to be seen. Showed her some pics fro. Pinterest of the styles I liked and she seemed to understand. Did I get the look I wanted. No. Instead, I feel like I went back to 10 years ago. Nothing like what I asked for and certainly not even a tad bit of the styles I have shown. However, not that pleased with the cut, I pretended I was because I didnt want more hair cut off. When she asked how I would my hair styled, I knew she wanted to round brush it. Ugh... I hate round brush styling. It ALWAYS poofs out rounded on the ends. I asked what my options were and she mentioned a wave. I went with that. The only good part about the waves was it didnt come out wispy at the ends. But it was styled awful as it didnt match my face. I left wanting to cry but told myself maybe I can style my hair better. After a nearly two weeks, I cant do anything to look nice. Straighten or add my own waves. I have this chunky, funky cut on my left side where it looks like that chunk was grabbed and a straight line was cut. Doesnt flow with the rest. Oh, that rounded look, its still there. When I did have great hair cuts, this was not an issue but it seems like all these stylists learned the same way nowadays. Now, I wear a headband like little school children or pin the top part back in a Bobby pin. certainly not a look for a person in their 30s. So there you have it. The booking for the appt didnt happen correctly and I got a haircut that once again, I must let it grow out for months and try a new place. Would go to another stylist but my hair is too short now. So take those reviews with great experiences with a grain of salt. No one was up front when I arrived.
