I came to Richard Kim for elbow issues. I did the PRP procedure. The procedure wasnt successful, but the issue I had had to do with payment and office procedures I recd from Richard Kim, MD. Kim charges $50 NOSHOW Fee for a missed appt. In fact, in my case, the office supposedly called to remind me of any appointment. They did not call my cell phone -- and since I was away -- any message on a land line was not recd. On top of that, I went to his office for the makeup appt two days later and the OFFICE staff stated I had to pay for the missed appt. I explained the above -- the office stated Kim had to reverse that charge. After a lengthy conversation with Dr. Kim AND a long letter to him explaining the above -- including that this NO SHOW FEE is not posted ANYWHERE in his office. . Ive never heard of any Dr. charging this fee and regardless of circumstances he was unwilling to make an adjustment for BOTH charges ($100). His offer of removing one was not fair -- since I could not in good conscience see him again with these charges. In all my life (60+) Ive never been charged this usurious fee (or any), for missing an appt -- where I wasnt called. On top of that, the treatment of arthritis is listed as a PRP procedure he can cure -- but I can confirm I received no relief for the ailment -- despite a $1,000 fee - not covered by insurance. Although he may treat it, the procedure wasnt effective. I had a cortisone shot afterward -- and although I had some relief for a short time, my problem remains. Lastly -- it seems he is more interested in receiving money for which he gave no treatment -- despite collecting $1,200 in fees that have to be paid by the patient. To say the least this experience with him, was not positive - -and I cannot recommend this treatment, his demeanor -- or office procedures.

Dr. Kim is the best doctor I have ever been treated by! I was impressed in my consultation by how thorough Dr. Kim was in evaluating my knees and then explaining the stem cell therapy process. Dr. Kim is a truly caring and compassionate doctor. His treatment plan addresses all of the aspects of your health and wellness. The series of stem cell treatments has been successful and I am able to walk without pain. I cant thank Dr. Kim enough for his knowledge and skill, and for the difference his care has made in my quality of life!

Dr. Kim is a great listener and delves into the root cause(s) of a problem, which is saying a lot because sometimes health issues are more complicated and require testing possible hypotheses and narrowing things down. He has keen clinical judgement. Also, he has a unique understanding regarding how nerves interplay with other parts of your anatomy (plus intervention skills). He does not shy away from difficult cases. He gives patients his dedicated focus, time, and expertise. And, he is a straight shooter. He treats you respectfully. He will do all he can to improve your situation. You owe it to yourself to go see him.

For me, Dr Kim and his staff set a hopeful vibe the moment I stepped in to the office. I was anxious to see if Dr. Kim, who came highly recommended, could help me and my 25+ year old sports injury. Over the past 9 months, Dr Kim helped create a healthy environment for my knee. He explained the semi-zealous journey as we continued through my stem cell therapy. Dr Kims current on the latest studies, which alleviated much of my questions and anxiety during this journey. Each visit, no matter the intensity of the visit, Dr Kim and his staff were calm, patient, and had the greatest sense of humor. In addition to the Richard Kim Medicine office, Dr Kim also has built an excellent network of other professionals to help ensure completion of the healing process.

Dr. Kim and his staff are what you would like every medical practitioner or staff to be. They are a group of great people all focused on whats best for the patients. They are exceptional at explaining the entire process, how its going to help you and what to expect through the entire experience with them. They truly care about helping people live a better, more active life with as little pain as possible. Dr. Kim works as a team not just with his staff, but with other partners in nutrition, sports psychology and physical therapy as a group to get people the best possible outcome. No matter what age or situation, if you have lived with injuries and pain, you need to see Dr. Kim and his staff to see what they can do for you. You will not be disappointed!!

Dr. Kim and his staff are amazing! After visiting an orthopedic surgeon who was not interested in me because I didn’t need total knee replacements, I was frustrated because I had pain in my knees and wanted to know why and what could be done and I had no answers. I’m so happy I found Dr. Kim! I experienced improvement after stem cell therapy but there was still an area that continued to cause discomfort. Dr. Kim was not happy until he found the problem and then he fixed it! I can now climb stairs pain free and it’s been years since I could do that!
