It took me 2 weeks to reach them. It was very very complicated and they transfer me to different departments and each time I got different information. Thanks to my logic I was able to find the right one myself. No responses for phone calls and left messages. So, I visited them. Finally, I was able to find the office STILL try to make an appointment and they said it take 9 months waiting list just to get an appointment. I filled their new patient form they gave me and that is all. No confirmation, nothing. I wont be surprise if they trash it. I got it, they signaled me Do not bother us. It was a very bad experience. Looking for another option.

9/19/19: It is too hard to contact them. I have been calling them for two weeks. Nobody pickup the phone. I believe that EDD or DMV has better contact service.9/27/19: Finally, I talked with staff and submitted new patient package. They told me I should wait 6 weeks for the review11/14/19: New patient package review was done. And I got a new authorization from my insurance for my son developing test. Yes. They still... never pick up the phone.11/20/19: Fortunately, the staff picked up the phone for the scheduling. She told me the earliest date is 1/28/20! What!! My insurance authorization effective date is around end of December 2019. Now... I do not know what I have to say...

The center has been a blessing for our family since moment we got the diagnosis for our son. They were able to provided resources that included workshops to understand what Autism is. And connected us to many services to support our son. He was non verbal and now he is bilingual. Some of the referrals were to speech , ABA and OT therapy. The journey was not easy but now our son is in on a mainstream class with no support. Thank you for your constant support on our sons care at The center. I highly recommend The center for the professionalism of their staff and care at all levels. Since the moment you enter is a friendly environment were kid with exceptional needs can feel welcome.

We were given the run around here. We were put on a waiting list for over a year and a half. Phone calls were never returned. When I finally talked to someone they said my daughter was too old to receive services. The director was rude, lacking respect, understanding or compassion for the hoops special needs parents have to jump through to obtain help for their kiddos.

Don’t go here. Spoke to a scheduler in Nov about getting an appt for my daughter and sent my packet back in December. She told me that it takes about two months to get an appt. I called back in Dec and never received a phone call and then I called in Jan and someone named Pedro called me back and left a message that was unintelligible on my voicemail. Called back again and he told me that a scheduler would call me in 4 months to schedule and appt when I have already waited two months. When I questioned why he didn’t leave that in the message he said he didn’t know but it would be four months before he would call me back to schedule an appt. I asked why it took so long to get an appt and he responded that someone reetired. So, apparently whoever retired must have ran the place because nobody knows what they are doing.

Doctors their are uber-fantastic, but unfortunately the staff is uber-awful. If the doctors their werent as great as they are and just mediocre, I would not hesitate to switch to another doctor. Yes the staff is that bad. Their level of unkindly behavior is just appalling; particularly at the frontdesk? You will be treated as if you were bothering them. Just ask other parents youll meet in the waiting area.

A 9 month wait for new patients is ridiculous. If someone is trying to find answers and assistance, this is too long to wait.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other negative reviews here. My son was referred here a year ago by a child psychiatrist for autism testing and I called them and they told me it was a year waiting list and to start the paperwork. I did complete all of it which was very long and submitted it. Then after letting his psychiatrist know she said its never supposed to be a year long waiting when a psychiatrist has referred and that she knows the staff running it. So I called them again and told them what the psychiatrist told me but was told the same thing. This process repeated 3 times. Then finally on the 3rd try I was told that Bethany would call me in a week. That week came and went and I called back and 3 weeks went by and no one would call me back. A few weeks later we had a military move out of state and now we have to start all over again. If you choose to go here I here you are able to get in.

I love The Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders!! The Center has made such a positive impact on my sons journey living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. My son Dylan, who is severely impacted, has been a client since The Centers opening. I feel so grateful for the medical services, access to multiple therapeutic services, workshops, classes and support offered all under one roof. If it were not for the incredible medical and behavioral directors, Dr. Joseph Donnelly and Kelly McKinnon Bermingham and their guidance throughout the years, I do not know where my sons progress would be today. Dylan was diagnosed by Dr. Donnelly and has worked with Kelly McKinnon Bermingham since the age of four. From medical services, potty training, ABA Services, Social Skills and the opportunity for inclusion with events such as Heartstrings- A Night with the Pacific Symphony held at The Center, I have seen my son flourish. One of the bonuses of The Center is that it serves a patient through Transition to Adulthood. As my son is turning 18 years old in December. This is incredibly stressful and uncertain but I am being guided by a team of experts, to support Dylan for a positive outlook and future. Thank You to everyone at The Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders to your continued support to Dylan and our entire family. Sincerely, Jennifer (Dylans Mom)

What a waste of time! I was on a wait list for 1 year. Did all their requested paper work. Fill out all their forms. Go to their appointment. Wait again. Make an appointment to then get a call that the dr there isnt comfortable with my sons medications (which is the general med that is prescribed to most kids with autism and special needs). So they cancel my appointment, send me a list of psychs, none of whom take insurance. I was also supposedly waiting to see a developmental pediatrician and a neurologist. I call Elizabeth MANY times, leave her MANY voicemails with no call back. Finally, I call somebody else who tells me I have to talk to Elizabeth to check the status of what is next even if we dont do psych. So, I ask to speak with the office manager. Thats Elizabeth. I tell her, Wow! It sure says something about a place when the manager wont return a call. She transfers me to her, and the call drops. What a waste of a year. With no courtesy of even a call to explain things, just a fax with a worthless list of drs that take $500+ for a first appointment and NOT ONE PERSON on that list takes ANY kind of insurance. This place a a fraud. Probably have us wait on these lists so they can be helping special needs families and receive grants while doing nothing to help. I could have gone somewhere else this past year.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment for two weeks. I get sent directly to Bethany Peraltas voicemail. She requests 24 hours to return a call but never calls back, she is off on Fridays. As a parent who wants his child to be seen by a neurologist, this added up to my frustration.

I am very grateful to The Autism Center for the incredible help they have provided to my family. Getting help in Spanish to understand and help my grandson with the different workshops I know has made a big difference. Thank you for seeing a successful and super happy child because the whole family is being educated and we can participate. My grandson was a child who did not speak and had many behaviors. He is now a child who can communicate and his behaviors improved. Please do not hesitate to seek help and I recommend the Autism Center.
