Almost confrontational. Two guys there were rude to the point of mean. Just collecting a check I guess.

Stopped by here hoping to exchange my empty Argon/CO2 shielding gas bottle. As myself being the only customer, of the three employees sitting at the counter. None of them were very eager to help me. When one of them did ask me How can I help you? I explained that I wanted to exchange my empty gas bottle for a full one. I was asked if I had an account? Ive never needed an account to exchange an empty bottle of inert shielding gas before.) After it was determined that I did not have an account, he asked me if I just wanted to pay cash. I said yes and we went outside to see what size my bottle is(150 CU). Then he gives me a hard time about my bottle. (At the moment I couldnt remember exactly when the last time I exchanged it. I later remembered it was October 18 a little over a year ago.) He said something about the age of my bottle . We then go back inside where he tells me the price of $176, (it was $45 last time I exchanged it) and says well its been so long since you exchanged the price has gone up and isnt coming down just like gasoline prices. I politely declined at more than triple the price and called Praxair at his suggestion. They quoted $65. Thanks for the great help Airgas.

I have an account with Airgas, which means leads me to believe I should be getting some sort of a break. My local welding supply store in Lake County charges me just over $40 for a refill of a 20cf Argon bottle. Airgas charged me $60 (59 to be exact) for the same refill. When I pointed out that I was charged more than I was quoted I was told a partial refund would be issued to make the total $40. Or at least so I thought. Next transaction the price of Argon had apparently gone down to in the 40s. Just today, I call again for a quote and was told it would be 50 some and that a refund of the initial overcharge had actually not been issued. The guy on the phone was inflammatory and argumentative. A phone call to Alliance Gas Products reveals a price of $44 for someone without an account. The guys were friendly. I think my Airgas days are over.

Great Service, knowledgeable staff and great selection. This is the only place I go in San Jose for welding supplies and gases..

Their prices for Argon and CO2 tank swaps are literally 2x the price at Madco up the Highway in Mountain View. Last time I am going the Airgas....

Why pay $100 for their CHEAPEST flip down hood????HOME DEPOT has a higher quality hood for $37!!!When items dont have a pricetag and your taking a cashiers WORD,... your asking for trouble!Go to Alliance instead!!!

This spot is no good

Been doing business with airgas for over 5 years with punching automotive air gas.Bar 97, high, low, zero air gas.They also have nitrogen tank for Evap smog testing.

Great services welder the dog love to do business with them
