He’s extremely arrogant and didn’t listen to anything I said to him other than enough to give me a lecture on something I was already aware of. Had me do a series of exercises to basically criticize me and the problem I had. I’ve never felt so ridiculed as a patient ever.

I and my wife were patients of Dr. Washingtons when we lived in San Jose. His was the best advice from any doctor Ive had: he pointed out the link between the perpetually re-occurring cough I had was due to stress, and lack of sleep. He got the cough under control with an inhaler, I stopped coughing, and my wife and I got back to sleep. No Nyquil Required!

Dr. Washington is a kook. At the beginning of my appointment I got the feeling that he was knowledgeable and wanted to help, but then he just started peddling his book. He even told me that he made it all up and to not tell anyone else.

After witnessing so many patients in his clinic, I was amazed to see how majority of patients suffer from wide array of illnesses subsequent to a stressful or busy schedule that was associated with lack of sleep. I personally experienced how you feel different when you are well rested. After witnessing his work closely, I highly recommend Dr. Washington’s Family Practice.

I recently did an externship program here. Dr. Washington provides an excellent platform to showcase your unique qualities as a physician and helps overcome the weaknesses by assigning tasks to master them. He also helps with aspects of interviews and personal statements for residency applications. I also liked that after each patient encounter we discussed diagnosis and management as a group and he also made sure that every one of us had benefitted from the information. He gives you feedback at the end of the program which is a great feature as it enlightens as well as encourages to improve in the future. I would recommend this program to everybody who is in the same boat as mine. i,e An IMG preparing for USMLE steps and plans to be a part of U.S healthcare system in future.

This was my first Externship in the US and I highly recommend Dr Washingtons program to IMGs who want to gain US clinical experience and become familiar with the practice of medicine here. The program spans over 4 weeks, with weekends and Wednesdays off. There seems to be a general misconception among IMGs that the Medical Board of California does not permit such experiences for as yet unlicensed physicians like themselves, but that is not the case. Dr Washingtons program adheres to the guidelines strictly as explained on his website. We are given opportunities to interview patients and present history with our assessment & plan, we get to learn procedures such as spirometry, Urinalysis, IM injections, TB skin test and perform them as well. His staff are super helpful and show you the ropes with respect to how things work in the clinic. Dr Washington focuses on how you can improve your overall skills to excel on Interview day, tips on personal statement and guides you to think and perform in the clinic as if you were a PGY1. It was a very good experience and highly recommended for all IMGS.

This guy is not a doctor. He tries to sell his book . Not knowledgable. I am surprised how come he is still in business. In yelp he has even more bad reviews.Stay away and go to a real doctor.
