Dr. And Jorge are compassionate health providers who really worked to ensure I understood their recommendations. I felt that they genuinely cared about me and my well being. They took time to get to know me and my health goals. They also gave realistic health advice. I am very pleased to have them in my corner!

I changed doctors recently. The Doctor and her assistant are great to me. I fell and she was on the phone right away. With her treatment, referrals to specialists, and follow up visits, I think it helped me heal faster. It is so nice to have a Doctor that cares. And Jorge is such a nice gentleman. He is so quick to check all of my pressures and temperature. I am grateful to have found such a caring doctors office. Very different from my prior experience.

Read my CT Scan and eased my fears whereas another doctor did not. Dr. Shailam has always been there when I needed her no matter what time or day. It is a rare find these days. Thorough and does not push medicine you dont need and offers natural solutions.

★★★★★ a month agoThe Doctors Doctor.Dr. Shailam possesses the uncanny ability to just know what is not working the way it is supposed to and what to do. I cant say enough about the offices attention to each and every person. Jorge is the best and thank goodness he never tells me what I weigh (!) 3 + years and I am sure my doctor and her assistant are the best in San DiegoAgain, I want to express my gratitude for finding Dr. Shailam and Jorge. I cant imagine seeing another Doc for my health issues. Jorge is so professional, knows exactly what to do. These two are the best. I just came from the office, after being seen at the last minute. Picked up my medicine and am feeling better already. Always, I recommend friends to Sun Health Medical Office.Once again, I cannot recommend The Doctor and her most competent colleague, Jorge. I was seen immediately, treated immediately, blood test overnight back to the Doc and follow up within hours. I dont think a person could find a more devoted, experienced, caring staff.

I visited Dr. Shailams office because I had a minor health issue that needed to be taken care of, and she was the only practitioner available nearby who also accepted my insurance and had an opening the same day. After my visit, her extensive calendar flexibility was more than understandable.I was very unhappy with the way they dealt with billing. At my visit I was told they would bill for a well visit (since we discussed more issues than the one I had come in for). But they billed my insurance for two visits anyways - a sick visit and a well visit. Then when I asked for clarification on the billing, they refused to explain why they had billed twice, until I showed the documentation from my insurance company. Dishonest billing practices are one of the many reasons healthcare costs are skyrocketing in the United States.Apart from billing, I was very much put off by how Dr. Shailam talked down to me as a patient, very insensitively. She was also dismissive of prescriptions and treatments I had previously received from medical specialists, despite the fact that she is not a trained dermatologist or gastroenterologist. She also decided somehow that I was going to take her on as my PCP, when I had never indicated interest in that whatsoever. Apart from that, the treatment I received was not helpful and I ended up needing to find another physician to address the same issue.

I was completely disappointed with the staff and the doctor. They would tell you something on the phone just to get you there and then charge you much more. They refused to give me my forms back and even brought the security guard to pressure me.I paid everything upfront and when I came back to pick up the forms, they asked me to pay extra. That’ very unethical.
