Dr. Whiteley hasnt seen my daughter or me in years, yet she remembered everything about us, even our hairstyles. She has always taken the time to engage, be personable, and looks out for us. She is 100% the best doctor I have EVER encountered!

Dr. Whitely Has been my doctor for 25+ years. I love that she really listens to me and is very caring.She has always made me feel very comfortable with sharing anything and everything. She is very responsive and makes me feel like I am her only patient. :)

Joanna Whiteley is a great doctor, very detail oriented and caring but I always feel a little bit rushed and the communication is so fast I feel like I miss out on having a more thorough appointment. I honestly think this is just because Joanna is a wonderful doctor so she has a lot of patients she has to see but I’m always a little disappointed we couldn’t talk for longer. I never post reviews, but I feel like I should because there was a real issue today was with the two women at the front and the communication between departments. While the women at the front desk were both very kind, they were obviously new or inexperienced and shouldn’t have been left alone to guide patients. I had to give a urine sample today but the bathroom was closed (being worked on I think) so the nurse told me to go over and use the one at the laboratory. Dr. Whiteley ordered some blood tests for me so I decided to just do it all at once. I left my appointment and went over to the laboratory holding the empty urine cup. Unfortunately, they must’ve just left for lunch because there was a sign that said they would be back at 1 pm. It was 12:24 at the time and I really had to use the bathroom and give this sample so I went back to the front desk to ask these women where I could go, holding the empty urine cup obviously, they directed me to a bathroom around the corner. I used the bathroom but realized there was nowhere to leave the sample properly. I have two anxiety disorders and this was really frustrating for me because I had to go back holding the now filled sample and tell these women there was nowhere for me to leave it. They looked at me very uncomfortable and we’re like like “ohhh no...” and seemed dumbfounded with what to do not really helping me at all so I told them this was super inappropriate and to go grab my doctors nurse which seemed obvious to me... I never get upset or raise my voice but I had to in this situation because they seemed so confused. My nurse came and got it but still I stood in the waiting area holding it for much longer than I would have liked. I wish the departments would communicate with each other when they’re going to lunch and have more experienced people at front desk especially during this time where going to the doctors office in a pandemic ALREADY comes with a lot of anxiety. Just a very unprofessional interaction that made me feel uncomfortable, I didn’t even end up getting my blood labs because I didn’t feel comfortable waiting there so I had to reschedule it for a different day at a different location. Very frustrating and I definitely won’t be going back to this location any time soon although I do really love Dr. Whiteley and how she cares for patients intimately.

I always would like to be her patient when my health is falling ... no matter how far away I move from San Diego. I will drive more than an hour to have her check on me. Her professional experience in medicine is the best for me which she never make a decision 100% without have me do blood test, X-ray.. etc to verify her diagnosis is correct for the patient. I Have seen Doctor Whiteley since 2011 and I will continue see her because she give a patient a confidence, positive attitude and a healthy life from her love and care. She has been taken care of me through my thyroid issue, depression, cancer and many more to list. I always love coming in and seeing Dr. Whiteley, she is personable, caring, kind, and everything else you want in an a doctor. I always feel heard and her follow up/through is beyond words. Dr Whiteley is a phenomenal doctor! I have been going to her for many years now. Everytime I see her, she takes her time listening to you have to say and provides great insight into your questions without being so technical they it goes over your head. There are no silly questions to her and not to mention she is kind, understanding, warm hearted, and very knowledgeable! One of the best doctors around!

Dr Whiteley has been my doctor for years, and I stay with her because shes a very attentive doctor. Great bedside manners. She listens to what you have to say and does not rush you She is a very kind-hearted doctor that cares about her patient.

I had a virtual appointment with Dr. Whiteley. She left me a voicemail about two hours before asking to reschedule. I called her back and she was driving and distracted. She spent a few minutes explaining she had a schedule conflict but she said since she had me on the phone we could just talk then. I told her why I wanted an appointment and she gave a response then rushed me off the phone. We were not even on the phone for ten minutes. It didn’t feel like an appointment, I barely got two sentences in. I was reaching out for something really important but she was driving and in a hurry. Next thing I know I get a bill for about $75. They billed me for an appointment. It was a short phone call, unprofessional and insensitive. They said they couldn’t reverse the bill once it was sent and they apologize and won’t do it again. Words are just words, I felt uncared for and robbed of my money. Definitely changing doctors.

Dr. Joanna Whiteley, of Sharp Rees Stealy, has been my primary physician for several years. She is such a compassionate and caring doctor who really listens and addresses all of my health concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Whiteley. She’ll be my physician for life. 🤗

Passes everything off as no big deal. She used to be a pretty good doctor about six years ago But her level of care declined significantly and she lost interest in me as a patient as well as my wife. My wife’s cancer diagnosis was delayed significantly due Dr. Whiteley’s refusal to do an MRI which would have prolong or saved my wife’s life. Beware of this doctor.

BEST DOCTOR EVER
