I called and was able to schedule a haircut the same day! I got a trim with Michelle and she is the biggest sweetheart ever! I told her I just wanted a trim and “to cut the least amount of hair possible” which she decided to give me a dry cut (I’ve never had one before) so I was completely impressed!! I loved it!!! Michelle did an amazing job!

Somewhat uneven experience, great stylist and did a beautiful haircut but came in for a color and she didnt have enough product to do the color I wanted and couldnt schedule me in any time soon had to be redirected to another stylist which was kind of a drag but she was still sweet and like I said good haircut but I came in for a COLOR she didnt have time to do it nor the product.... even with doing a different color combo and that was totally so disappointing. I know I have a ton of hair but youd think a salon of that quality would have an ample amount of supplies in stock... lesson learned though. 😔💔

A place where you can ask for styles, but not for free, to cut your hair. Its a plus for girls to cut our hair, because were going to look fine, which is why most girls like us if we cut our hair. And they actually make your hair more beautiful.

It was this salon that had the best service and amazing salons to do all kind of hairstyles, and Im thankful I could try them out just in time. Id be pleased to support this place to everyone.

The stylist I originally booked my appointment with recommended that I reschedule with someone else after she talked with me a little. She said that what I wanted was outside of her expertise and that another person would make it the best cut possible. I really appreciated that she passed me on to someone better suited to the project, and I loved Briana, who was the person I rescheduled with. She was fun to talk to and I absolutely love the cut she gave me. I wasnt at all sure what I wanted and this haircut is just so me. Your hair is a very important piece of your identity, and I felt confident in her ability the whole time she was working. She found several times to ask for my opinion and helped me make the decision that looked best. And at the end, she offered but didnt push hair products. I often feel very pressured to buy the products when I get my hair cut, but here I felt like they were comfortably available rather than in my face. I will definitely be going back to Pure for my next trim.

High end price but the salon is nowhere near the high end experience. I have been coming here many times. Over time, I noticed many changes here. First, I come on time to my appointments, and lately I had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. Once or twice is ok, but I dont have all day to wait. Second, they overcharge for haircuts, and the cost isnt consistent with the quality. They first put me with a stylist who barely had any experience, and charged me $65.00. I wasnt happy with how well it turned out, and changed the hairstylist, who has over 10 years experience, but charges the same price. Its not reasonable to charge so much for someone who has little to no experience, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of in that sense. Entry level staff should charge anywhere between $20-$35. And someone more experienced can charge more. Third, every time I call to make an appointment, they tell me Im not in the system, even though every single time I give them my number and spell my name. It seems like they only want to keep someone in the system if he/she brings them revenue every 4 weeks. I told them I cant come every 5 weeks to get a haircut because I dont have time. And now, I found out that the haircut cost was increased by $5. And I give a $20 tip every visit. When I show them how much length I want to be removed, they try their best to remove the minimal amount of length so that I can come back sooner. I mean, really? Just cut to the length I am asking you to, instead of taking a little bit off, as a way to control how often I come. Finally, during my haircut, random people come and sell junk to stylists. Then my service is interrupted and the stylist spends time chatting with the solicitor. The owner should not allow this unprofessionalism. If I am paying $70 an hour AND $20 tip on top of that --- this is my hour, and I expect that youll spend that time on me, not chatting with someone else. I hope this place turns better, but otherwise I am moving on. Again, if you set your prices high - then you must provide the high quality customer experience.

Great haircut, fabulous color. Grace (at Grace and Style, located in Pure Salon) is a wizard with scissors and a magician with color. She is a skilled professional and also very personable. I have been to many hairstylists over the past decade and have never once come across anyone as great as Aura. My hair turned out PERFECTLY the way I imagined it, and I continue to love my hair more and more the more I look at it. Its amazing. The entire experience was awesome. Aura is artistic in her trade with a specialty for natural beauty. She took the time to understand my hair needs, and I got the best hair cut and color of my life. My haircut from Jessica was awesome as always! Shes really good at what she does and very professional. The salon is really nice too. Ive gotten color from Jessica and styled so Id highly recommend her for that too. But now I just come in for regular cuts.

I was unable to get to my usual salon for a haircut in Poway and after a quick search ended up at Pure. I’m glad I did! The interior is very beautiful and clean. The prices are very reasonable. I was placed with a wonderful stylist named Aura. She was very pleasant to interact with. I was impressed to find out the breadth of her experience. Fortunately for me she was very patient. I went in with only a vague idea of the look I was after but not sure it could be achieved given my hair texture (frizzy and thick). She was helpful and had some great suggestions to get what I wanted. She gave me a sleek lob that’s super easy to manage. I was very happy with my entire experience and would recommend Aura and Pure to a friend.

Called to see if they accepted walk ins. They did, really nice and polite employees from the person picking up the phone to the person received me. I got an up do for an event, liked how it was quick. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars, the updo wasn’t the best. The back was good but the front felt like it needed volume and in pictures looked like I just had my hair up or in a bun

Im not satisfied with my haircut. I really wanted my hair cut in short layers. The person who cut my hair gave me a bob. I dont like bob hairstyles and I dont see much layering in my haircut other than where its supposed to frame my face. The framing itself is not well defined--I would have wanted more layering along my face. Also my hair looks uneven at the bottom. I didnt like how my haircut turned out and I just wanted to get out of there. Luckily my hair grows out fast so Ill try short layers soon but at a different salon. Im not impressed with this $70 haircut.

I absolutely love this salon. My boyfriend got me a blow dry and massage for my birthday event and everyone is great! I have come back for massages with Jeanette and Aura did my hair for the first time with ease. I’m picky with my hair and she handled my concerns with ease. And I have amazing hair! I plan to see her regularly since I moved and lost my girl. I haven’t trusted anyone else with my hair in 8 years so Aura made a great impression for sure!

I bought the Goldwell shampoo and conditioner and my treatment has held up for more than a couple months. My hair is naturally very curly and course and frizzy and this helped eliminate frizz and made my hair relax into nice beach waves. Highly recommend.

Chelsea was AWESOME! I fully believe in paying for a worthy product/service and I got what I paid for at Pure Salon. I just moved 4 months ago, but havent had my hair done in 6 months. For someone who goes every 6-8 weeks I was DYING to get some hair love!!!! Finding a new stylist after moving is the WORST, but I completely lucked out. After reading positive reviews about Pure Salon I decided to try my luck there and they scheduled me with Chelsea. I could not have been more lucky. She did EXACTLY what I wanted, her work was fantastic, and she was super personable. I cannot wait for my next appointment and to refer all of my friends to her! This salon is AWFUL. I wish I could give -5 stars to them. I booked an appointment with Misty for 9 a.m. When I showed up the the receptionist said she has me with Shannon! I complained and said I want an appointment with Misty. She said she is available at 4 p.m. that day. I booked her and showed up at 4 p.m. just to learn that they have scheduled me for the day after! The receptionist is extremely rude and doesnt even smile. She didnt even apologize. My wife and I are both good tippers and care about our style. They just lost two costumers. We live in San Diego and there are countless great stylists who treat people with respect and would love to style our hair. I would recommend you stay AWAY from this terrible salon.

Decided I would visit Pure to get a massage after work last Friday. I wasnt expecting anything in particular since I hadnt been there before. To my surprise the spa was very nice and had a great ambiance. I felt immediately relaxed and Michelle did a great job working the stress out of my muscles. Overall great value and service. I will definitely be returning.

If your looking to get bang trims, this is definitely not the place. I have come heremultiple times for haircuts and had good experiences, but this time was terrible. The lady nearly hacked my bangs. They are completely uneven and way too short then what i had asked. The lady stood in front of the mirror to where i couldnt even see what she was doing until she was already done. Since this salon looked very professional, i did not feel the need to ask for a specific hair stylist. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong. Never coming back here again and now have to wear a headband everyday until my bangs grow more..

Ive been going to this salon for about 8 years and i absolutely LOVE it. they are super friendly and helpful and my hair always looks amazing. my stylist is Chelsea and she is so amazing. she ALWAYS makes my hair look phenomenal and she is the sweetest and most professional and hard working girl in the salon. i have recommended many friends to this salon and they have ALL been 100% satisfied. i cant say enough good things about this place! i also get facials and massaged here..its a one stop shop that does a fabulous job with all their services!!♡

I absolutely LOVE,LOVE, LOVE Hillary. She has been doing my hair for many years. I live in Vegas now and tried to move onto other stylist, but I just wasnt satisfied with the results. She does something different that makes your hair lay beautiful, even on the days that you dont have much time to style your hair.I travel far just to get my hair done by her. No one cuts my hair the way she does! She is awesome!

All the ladies were smiling and laughing, which really added to the experience of visiting the salon. Ive been to other salons in the past where everyone was always in a bad mood, which adds a big damper to the experience. The staff actually listened to what I wanted, I asked for a trim (about ½ inch) and that is what they did. I have been to other salons where I ask for a trim (½ inch) and walk out with my hair 3 inches shorter! Overall a great atmosphere, and a terrific team that I will continue to come back to. I love this place and will definitely recommend them to friends, family, and everyone else!

What can I say, I love this place! The minute you walk in you start to feel better. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. I am very picky when it comes to getting a massage. I have had lots of them, so I know a good massage when I get one. I was in the area and really needed some relief for my very tight muscles. WOW- I got a great massage! I felt heard, and my desires were met. I have had massages where the massage therapist thinks they know what I need- and maybe they do. I want to feel good afterwards, not stressed out from all the pain they can inflict. I highly recommend Pure for their massages!

I love Pure Salon. Ive been coming here for almost 2yrs now. Customer service is always great, youre greeted with water, tea, coffee or wine! My stylist Lejen Mae is the best! She has taken me from dark damaged hair to a healthy platinum blonde and back to a soft brown. I recently moved to orange county but I continue to make the drive because shes that great. A year ago she styled my hair for my wedding and did my eyelashes (extensions). side note: She has a very gentle hand so be ready to take a lovely snooze while shes shampooing your hair, its heavenly.

The interior of Pure Spa & Salon is beautiful! Although originally my wife was only coming for herself, when my teenage daughter and I needed a cut we gave my wife stylist, Lolita Pellos a try. We were so glad we did because Pellos she is OUTSTANDING; Not to mention she colors my wifes hair beautifully! We all love coming here now for the relaxing atmosphere! Everyone seems so nice, but go see Lolita for all your hair care needs-she is fantastic!

This was awful. Im from Oregon so maybe I expect more? I dont know. I got a massage and the guy talked the ENTIRE time. About how his body was sore, about how I need to take better care of mine (I was like what do you think Im trying to do right now?!), asked me if I like this, or that, if that feels good, how about that pressure, on and on and on. Then he asked me if I wanted the other side of my body done! UMMM YES?! So weird and horrible. I actually cried for a minute during it. I just wanted to relax and enjoy myself and the money I was spending on myself and it was awful. Then I was getting my hair done after that and the lady lectured me on taking care of my hair better. I dont need an education. I need services that Im PAYING for. Then I tried to talk to the front desk lady about the massage. I was like he literally asked if I wanted both sides of my body massaged. She was like almost smirking and was just like oh okay sorry do you want me to schedule an appointment for you with someone else? Umm...no! It was so upsetting. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I go to Pure Salon every six weeks to see Cindy to get my highlights retouched. Cindy is great with blonde highlights-she takes the time to make sure they are natural looking and not chunky. The Salon is also super clean and all the staff are super friendly.

Hillary Crayon has been doing my hair for about 10 years now in Arizona. As saddened as I am to not have here around anymore, I want to let everyone in San Diego know that not once in those ten years was I ever unsatisfied with a hair cut or a color. Hillary is TOP NOTCH when it comes to blondes! She will leave you feeling beautiful, and everyone around you will notice. I had a very bad experience with hair color at this salon. The receptionist didnt allocate the time properly and many of my services got delayed and the hair colorist, without even asking what caused the delay started yelling at me, the customer, and gave me the worst possible treatment during the coloring process. I wasnt asked which color I wanted to use. The quality of this color is by far the worst experience of the colors I have used in past in US. Even after 3-4 days, the color is smudging everywhere.Spa/Salon experience starts with being courteous to customers and at minimum a clear communication got to exist, instead the colorist and her group of pals were busy cracking racist jokes on me.I would never ever go again. When I pay a price and have potential to spend to bring business, I got to be treated right as well and I hope the feedback I gave at the salon will be taken well so that future customers wont disappointed.

This salon is wonderful. Angie is the best stylist ever! Shes dyed me from brown to blonde and every color in between!

Stylist Avery did a color correction, hair treatment, and full color which came out wonderful, very happy with the results. My only complaint, I was told by the receptionist it would cost $135, but cost $200 not including tip.

Ae is always positive and so interested in what Ive been up to. She is sweet and makes you feel so beautiful. I used to hangout with my friend while she got her hair done for a year then when I finally switched to Ae my hair was so damaged from my previous hair dresser. This was the 2nd time Ive seen her and her tips, color, and products made such a difference. My hair feels so much healthier now.

I have been going to overpriced salons in San diego County for 12 years and while the results are ok, dont seem worth the $330+ for cut and color. Anytime I found a salon that charged less, it was obvious the quality of service and skill was less too. With Pure Salon I have finally found the perfect salon. The price for cut and highlight was barely over $100 and the service, atmosphere and stylists were easily on par and exceeding those $300 salon visits. AFter a long search, I have found my permanent salon and stylist. I highly recommend to anyone who wants high end service for reasonable prices. You wont be disappointed. I personally had Marian as a colorist and stylist and received so many compliments and am so happy with her work.

This is my first google review ever but just had to take the time to rave about Lejen Mae!! I had broken up with my stylist after 9 years and initially went to someone who was a senior stylist... after all the high expense and hours of trying to correct, she continued to not listen and make mistakes. I felt led to try Lejen Mae after some great reviews and sooo grateful to find her!! I cannot say enough about her skills from color to cut and her personality equally amazing!! I actually had happy tears that someone finally got it right... ask for her and you will not be sorry! I continue to receive many compliments!!

I went to PURE to pamper myself on my Birthday.I was not disappointed.The facial that I had, with Olga, was the best I have ever had and I have had alot of facials in my life.The delux pedicure, with Rosa, was phenomenal!The ambiance of the Spa was wonderful and people were so courteous and attentive.Today I am feeling gorgeous and very relaxed.My skin is very soft and clean too.I must say that the prices were more than reasonable too.I will definately be going back on a regular basis.
