Ive been with Scripps for 33 years and have both a PPO and secondary insurance. I called Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute for an appointment. I was told since I wasnt referred to them I would be self pay and they couldnt use my insurance. The young lady was very stern and told me that was my only choice. I shared with her all my insurance info was in the Scripps system but she didnt want to look it up or help me. I will seek assistance elsewhere and advise others to do the same.
