I have been using Dr Shahans services for a number of years now. He is courteous, friendly and professional all in one! I recently had a weird growth on my arm. Unable to meet the first available appointment, his office found time to squeeze me in the day I called. The ugly bump turned out to be a form of skin cancer that was sampled, evaluated and removed the following week. His staff are also top notch and caring. You wont go wrong using his services!

Went for a consult for a little persistent rash on my face. It was precancerous and was frozen off. Very little discomfort and very quick procedure! I went out of my network so paid out of pocket, and his price SO REASONABLE, I could hardly believe it.Dr. Shahan also has a pharmacist degree, so he knows his stuff. You cant go wrong going here for skin problems.I highly recommend this office and staff!

Ive been fighting a skin problem on my hand and Dr. Juan Kojima and his staff have been awesome in not only fighting the issue and being clear on the process were taking, but just also being cool humans in the process.

I cannot say enough about this doctor. I travel for work heavily. I go to a different city every week. So when I found out I had skin cancer I was super scared and didnt know what to do. I found this doctor on ZocDoc. I cannot think Im enough for his bedside manners and the work his office performed they were nothing but amazing. Dr. Shahan gave me an order for blood test in Quest Diagnostics... The staff could not understand the filled Quest form. Trying to contact the doctor ‘s nurse from 7:00 AMFinally after the conversation between the staff of Quest Diagnostics and the nurse of Dr Shahan I found out that the fault was not by Dr Shahan’s staff but the Quest staff’s confusion of the Code.

You dont have enough stars to express how happy our family is that we have found Dr. Shahan. My husband and I have had many skin cancers over the years and have been to several dermatologists, none of them as caring and considerate as Dr. Shahan. He always has the time to take your questions and you never feel rushed! An added bonus is that he is very personable and fun to talk to....If youre looking for a great dermatologist, Dr. Shahan is your doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shahan for three years. He has excised 1 melanoma in-situ, 6 moderate atypical nevi, and most recently, performed Mohs surgery for a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. I have seen other doctors for my skin cancer issues, so I have a strong basis for comparison. Dr. Shahan does thorough body scans, answers all of my questions, and most importantly is an excellent surgeon. The scar from my melanoma excision is barely noticeable. There is no other doctor that I would have felt more comfortable to perform the Mohs surgery on my forehead than Dr. Shahan. The receptionists, doctor’s assistants, and nurses are all extremely friendly and helpful.

I was so happy with the treatment I received on my first visit. I was referred by my plastic surgeon because Dr. Shahan is a dermatologic surgeon experienced in Mohs surgery, a microscopic technique for skin problems. First, I was shown into the exam room on time. The medical assistant, Yvette, must have asked my permission twenty times making sure I understood exactly what to expect and patiently answering every question I could think up. Next the physicians assistant, Burna, examined me literally from head to toe. I dont know who asked more questions, her or me, but they were all answered. Dr. Shahan reexamined me double checking Burnas observations and removed lab specimens from two areas. More Q and A. At my request Dr. Shahan agreed to an early date for surgery pending the lab results. Yvette gave me all the info to be prepared for surgery. Elizabeth handled my Medicare paperwork and scheduled the surgery. At all times during my visit the whole staff seemed dedicated to keeping me completely informed and absolutely comfortable. A week later the surgery took less time than my first office visit. Yesterday was my post surgery follow-up visit. I could see no evidence that the surgery ever happened.
