Have you ever noticed that geniuses dont always have diplomatic social skills? If you want diplomacy, go to a Botox place. If you want seriously the best care for aggressive skin cancers, then stick with Dr. Nahm.

Recently I had my second Mohs procedure done by Dr. Nahm. Both times treatment has been on my face. In addition to being a skilled surgeon, he also takes extra step to minimize scarring. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I first came here 2 years ago for melanoma surgery on my forehead and have since had quite a few other surgeries and procedures. Im really happy with the results. Most importantly: Im alive!! Its true that, at times, the wait in the office has been long, but that is the exception (and Ive been here a lot!). I also like that the office is high-tech and run efficiently. Dr. Nahm has been great about listening to my concerns and providing wonderful treatment.

Ive read the other reviews, but as an established patient with Dr. Nahms Office, I must say that the care I receive is far superior than what I have received from any other Dermatologist. Ive never experienced the rude behavior others are claiming from the receptionists. In fact, Im greeted promptly when I walk in and Ive never waited more than ten minutes in the lobby. One thing I deeply appreciate, especially during the Pandemic, is how clean this office is. It seems silly to mention, but its something not all medical offices pay close attention to. My room always smells freshly sanitized and they have designated areas for me to place my personal belongings. I do agree with some of the reviews about the wait times once in the room, but it doesnt bother me because I make sure to carve out a couple of hours each time I have a visit. Dr. Nahm addresses concerns immediately and that may be why wait times get a bit long. This is something to appreciate though rather than be upset about. For example, he offers to take care of issues immediately rather than scheduling a follow up visit. This may cause delays but if you factor in the trip you just saved by not having to have a followup visit then it balances out. Additionally, there is an amazing team on site called University Clinical Trials. This allows patients to sign up for trials of new medications and receive regular follow and care from the team. I am currently in a trial for my eczema and I am receiving care and creams that I would not otherwise have access to without participating in the trials. If you want an office that shuffles you in and out like a fast food restaurant then this office is not for you. If you want quality care from an extremely experienced professional team then I highly recommend Dr. Nahms Office.

I’ve been coming here for years. Every time I see Darin the physician assistant he never keeps me waiting! I wish all doctors visits were this efficient. He is super kind and has helped me with several skin issues I’ve had. My visits are quick and right to the point which I love... I would recommend seeing him if you have skin concerns.

I rarely leave reviews but needed to leave one after coming across all the bad reviews here. This doctor is extremely thorough and his staff is fantastic. I waited maybe 15 minutes and he spent a good 10-15 minutes with me which is much much much longer than the last dermatologist. I switched to him after my last dermatologist who incidentally actually matches all of these terrible reviews here to a T. Dont listen to the bad reviews here. I am very happy with this doctor and highly recommend him.

I have seen Dr. Nahm for 20 years and will continue to. He found a tiny basal cell carcinoma in my eyebrow, it was so hidden even I did not know it was there. He removed it and sutured the eyebrow so I did not have any scar visible. Since then I have had one more BC carcinoma which he found before I did. The reason I did not give him all 5 stars is that he sometimes runs late, and his front desk folks are sometimes a little too laid back for my taste. But he gives full attention to whomever he is with at the time.

University Dermatology Group | Walter K. Nahm, MD PhD.Dr. Walter K Nahm and his staff deserve NO star, unfortunately, I dont have this option. Very very RUDE and unprofessional front desk, the office manager and the nurse that workes directly with Dr. Nahm. Please DO NOT GO THERE, the worst customer service ever, money motivated, and thieves.I called and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Martell on Feb 1st, 2020. I was asked to fill out the forms online prior to my arrival or will wait an extra hour at the office. I filled out the forms online and still WAITED TWO HOURS. Then I was seen by Dr. Walter K Nahm instead of Dr. Martell. I was told by the front office lady the cost for the procedure and agreed on the price. I paid it in full and was told by the same front office young lady and the nurse that helped Dr. Nahm during the procedure that I can come back next week if I need to do some touchup for NO ADDITIONAL COST. Ten days later I called and asked if I can see Dr. Nahm for some touch-ups. I scheduled an appointment and spoke with that rude office manager. He said the doctor will not see you if you dont pay again and that I need to talk to the doctor directly for approval. I went to the office and asked if I can talk to the doctor to ask him. The front office and office manager asked me to pay just to talk to the doctor. Dr. Nahm did not want to talk to me if I dont pay for the proceeder again. I was so mad and furious with the customer service. The worst.

Super duper rude and condescending. Its surprising to me that this clown, Walter, is still able to practice. I believed my case was medi-cal discrimination but after reading all the terrible reviews it seems hes a jerk to all. Will never return and hope for others sake, he is barred from practicing medicine. Hes an insult to the profession. However, Darren is a good guy

Got to the office 20 minutes ahead of my appointment to take care of the paperwork as requested. The request to get there early would imply that they like to stay on schedule for my appointment. Long story short, I was there for over 2 1/2 hours. I mentioned this to Dr Nahm and 3 others there and got, No explanations, no apologies. 2 1/2 hours for a total time of maybe 10-15 minutes with the doctor. It feels like hes got 7-8 rooms full of waiting patients, so he can maximize his income, or his time on the golf course.

THEY DONT LISTEN! THEY LOST MY PAPERWORK! I told them the first appointment back at the beginning of July that I was leaving on the 16th of August for Thailand. They said theyd make a note of it. The waits ARE incredibly long. Over an hour three times in my case. Then they moved my surgery date back to the day before I was supposed to leave. Each time I was there I told the receptionist AND Dr. Nam that I was leaving on the 16th. Each time I was told it would be NO PROBLEM! Then on the day of the surgery they informed me the had not put my information in there new database and that they needed my information again. Then after the surgery they wanted to set up the follow up appointment. Once again I told them I was leaving and they acted surprised. I had already decided Id do my follow up at the University hospital where I live in Thailand. He told me how to take care of it and said I should do a follow up in two weeks. On the WAY HOME I my arm started bleeding. So we called and asked if they could look at it the next morning. THEY DIDNT call back until I was just about to leave. This office is mismanaged and borders on incompetent. The Dr. seems as though he could CARE LESS!!!

My time with the doctor was not ideal. He was rude and dismissive to the problems I brought in. As a first time patient, I was shocked that he did not ask me my name, introduce himself, or have a summary of what my visit was about. There were a total of 4-5 staff members in the room throughout my visit. Staff proceeded to do biopsies without providing information (i.e. pricing) that was specifically asked to be given prior to any examination, as it would determine what would be done during that visit. The doctor rushed through the exam, cut me off when I was asking questions, and seemed frustration when I explained that I was there solely for a consultation. The staff attempted to charge me for biopsies that I did not agree to because they already started with the biopsy and had some samples. My overall feeling of this visit was one of dismissal and invasion. I will not be back.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Wait time horrendous, staff rude, they have things set up like a fast food assembly line--they even have drive-through style headphones, and half the time, theyre listening to someone on the other end, and not to you. The doctor himself spent all of 10 seconds with me--everything else was handled by PAs and or interns. But the worst part is, they took out more flesh than necessary when removing my basal cell carcinoma, leaving a quarter sized scar on my forearm. Rather than taking out a small section of skin at a time, they took out a small section, left me to wait for 3 hours, then took out a huge section, Im assuming so they could move things along and get another patient into the assembly line. AVOID this place!

Dr. Nahm is exceedingly professional as his his staff. Although it was difficult to get an appointment at first, I was placed on the waiting list and managed to get in to see him 3 weeks ahead of time.My procedure went smoothly and I was given very clear care instructions. I dont quite understand why some people leave negative reviews as my experience was highly positive. Looking forward to my return visit. :)

I needed a quick approval to purchase prescription level athletes food cream. I never met Dr. Nahm, instead only worked with his assistant. This visit to this office was a complete joke. Got to the office on time and was escorted to a room and was told to strip down. Was given basically a paper towel to cover up with. I sat there for over an hour waiting for Dr. Nahm. I should have gotten up and walked out but they already had my $50 copay. Said doctor shows up with just a horrible attitude towards me. I told him I was paying cash and that I wanted to pay for all services rendered before I left the office. I didnt want any surprises to come via mail!10 days later I received a bill for an additional $48 on top of the $200 I had already paid! Next, after my skin had healed, I noticed several spot he missed with the freezing process, which took him less than 7 minutes. I called the office and asked if I could get treated for the spots he missed and his nurse said it would cost me another $250. What a completely bad experience! Dont know how this jerk can stay in business! THANKS DR. NAHM!

It’s funny that people’s reviews is all what I need to say! The wait time is ridiculous, the staff are weird, and the receptionist was so rude and she’s expecting all the patients are the same. I really don’t recommend any patient to go there, and recommend the stuff to leave their ipads and iMac and focus more on the patient health by making eye contact and be patient. Thank you.

Like other reviewers, I had a terrible experience. Clearly Dr. Nahm and his office have no consideration for their patients time/life, etc. I waited 2.5 hours in their office (I now understand why they kept offering to put on a movie for me). I got frustrated since I was late for another appointment and said Id stop by the next day to pick up my medication. I called before going down the next day to make sure the medication was ready to pick up before going down and was again told to wait when I got there. 30 minutes later, I left again with no medication. This place sucks.

I personally have been seeing Dr Nahm for over a year. Not constantly throughout, but a few times here and there. My first visit and second were both pleasant and the doctor prescribed me what I needed for my acne...a couple months later after stopping the medication my acne came back so I went back to Nahm.... they wanted to put me on an acne trial and I agreed....but never showed up to the subsequent appointments. About a year later I wanted to do something about my acne so I went back and they did not make any fuss about my previous missed appts. Though the wait time can be extremely aggravating sometimes, it is what it is.....hes a busy guy so Im not too bothered by it. He put me on accutane and Ive now been on it for a month. I just missed my follow up appt on Monday, but hes allowing me to come in Thursday, again without any fuss. I was even allowed to come in at 3:30pm instead of 4:30pm as I was originally told. I love this doctor office and Im very glad that theyve been very good and lenient with me! Also, I have never had a bad experience with their staff, so the comments on people being rude must simply be because you all had ugly attitudes to begin with! You get what you give!
