I started the program in January 2021. I had lost my passion for my previous career, and know I loved teeth and somehow, someway, I fell into the lap of this school and RDA Kim Cates as it was all meant to be. Every class educated and challenged me and grew a fire in my heart for dental assisting. Kim along with the other instructors really do care for our well being and our mental health. They all took the time to ask how I was doing or feeling on a daily. I had a few bad weeks of health issues and problems with my employer. They were all there for me to guide me and to remind me my self worth. The course was so informative and I really did not struggle at all due to my amazing teachers. They built a confidence in me that I never knew existed!

Right from the start mrs. Kim was such a welcoming instructor and you can definitely tell that she LOVES teaching and her job! She was always ready to help in any aspect of the program and was well prepared with tools,materials and very helpful hands on activities that give you a feel for the actual job. The other instructors were also very helpful with the activities and ready to answer questions about the field. So ask as many questions as possible because most of the time everyone is in the same boat so dont be shy! Loved it! The office was always clean and very professional atmosphere.

A great place to learn!! Everyone works hard to teach the students. They make you feel very comfortable to be in a classroom where you gain a lot of experience. In addition, you make friendships with people whom have similar goals as yours and you learn from one another by working in groups and getting to know each other. Invest the time you have there and ask so many questions, you won’t get embarrassed at all. The staff is amazing and don’t forget to take advantage of the internship program they offer because it really helps.

Just graduated from this program! The instructor Kim was so amazing and kind I really learned a lot from her and her helpful staff they were all amazing! I got a job before I graduated from this program! As long as you pay attention you will learn so much take advantage of the paid intern program you can learn so much from it!

This school does not prepare students to be well trained dental professionals. As a dental profession (RDA and front office) I went to Mesa College for there amazing dental assisting program and was hired from my internship. My cousin went to this program, and was let go from her first job after 2 weeks due lack of basic training. This program is a waste of money and time, and will set you up for failure if you want a successful job in dental field.

They say time flies when youre having a good time. This class just flew by. Everyday was great. I am a hands on kind of person and thats what we did through out the 10 weeks. Mrs. Kim (Instructor) was very patient and flexible with me especially because I just recently had a baby. She also taught very well I was only able to make it to two internships but I learned a lot in just two of those days. Even the staff were great. So glad I attended here at San Diego Dental Career.

Learnt a lot during this whole process. As long as you pay attention to the details, you’ll definitely be able to work in a dental office afterwards . They go very in depth with different procedures used in dental offices (by both old fashion and modern approach dental offices). Miss Kim is very patient and friendly! When they think you are ready to perform outside this facility, Kim will send you emails regarding dentists whose looking for DAs. Undoubtedly, there’s a lot of opportunity here. They provide you with 4 hours per week paid internship on top of the schooling. You get all the certificates you need to become a dental assistant. While I was interning in SDDC, I met multiple dentists (from UCLA and UOP) and they were all so nice ! They even offered to write me a letter of recommendation.Overall, this program/internship is more than a resume padding process. It really boils down to how much you can get out of it by how much effort you put in.

SDDC is a great school with wonderful teachers,hands on!I will always be thankful with this wonderfull family!

The school is great. Those who are complaining are complaining they dont teach you RDA stuff. This is not an RDA training program it is a DA program.

BEWARE!!!! Telling woman you can work with only 2 certifications but you cant. Just be careful.
