I just moved to San Diego and I decided to try out Viva Brazil based on the reviews that I saw here on Google. After visiting them myself, I am absolutely in love with their service and products. It was at Viva Brazil that I received my first Brazilian wax. They made me feel very comfortable and kept me informed the whole time, which made me feel a lot better. I also tried the hard wax for the first time and loved it!

I absolutely love this place. I have been going for a year now and I recommend Kay she is GREAT! The location is nice,clean, and trendy. Kourtney is amazing. Super sweet and she has a method for waxing like nobody else Ive seen. Its the least painful Brazilian Ive ever gotten and least amount of ingrowns.

HORRIFIC experience. I went in for a chemical peel and was promised that the service I was receiving and paying for would “take care of my skin spots”. After zero results and the commitment made not being met, I called back explaining the lack of results and asked for a next step to resolve the issue. I spoke with the owner, Martin, who was condescending and instructed me to call tomorrow for his wife, Margarita, who would evaluate my skin and offer me “discounted services”. I was frustrated by this response as I was told the original service would solve my problems but didn’t want to argue and agreed. I called the next day asking for Margarita who was “busy” but would call me back. I followed up days later after no call back and never heard a thing as she was once again “busy”. Over a week later I called yet again and got Martin on the phone. I explained what happened and that I would like a refund due to this experience. He was unbelievably rude, proclaimed I would not be getting a refund and that I needed to come in the next day in hopes of getting in front of Margarita who would then charge me for more services. I explained that this was not acceptable any longer due to their commitment made not being met and an inability for Margarita to call me back to even schedule. I asked again for a refund and he then hung up the phone. I attempted to show up an hour later and Martin was conveniently “not available”. I am a very reasonable person... if a service will not perform as promised... please do not make that promise. I am out significant dollars with no results and the worst experience I have ever had at a business like this. Buyer please beware.Edit after owner response: This experience and review has absolutely nothing to do with with being an educated consumer and purchasing a service on Groupon nor does it have to do with having unfair expectations or failure to use aftercare products. I was told by your staff that the treatment I purchased would cause the marks I specifically pointed out to “go away and vanish”. Your staff attempted to sell me additional product for “if any marks come back so you don’t need to buy another chemical peel”. Making an intelligent purchasing decision and not paying full price using Groupon which YOU made the business decision to offer your services on is irrelevant. I came back to your business looking to speak to you face to face after you hung up the phone on me... and was nothing but kind and polite to the girl at the front desk. Manipulate and lie all you’d like, nothing I have shared or reviewed is fabricated.

Viva Brazil is by far one of the best places to get facials, waxed, and tanned! Ive been to both locations and the staff is so friendly and make you feel so comfortable. Ill defiantly keep coming back!!!!

The staff is excellent, very friendly yet professional. The place is spotless, too! I had some tough places waxed and with the hard wax and the staffs techniques it was actually an enjoyable experience. The hard wax is house made and only takes one tug to remove and isnt damaging to your skin. Try it!

Such a friendly vibe here super close to the beach... And there are great offers for packages to get all your hair removal taken care of at one time. Its San Diego... weve got to be bikini ready year-round ;)

Im new to the area, and I decided to try Viva Brazil for my Brazilian because of the extremely reasonable prices (especially with the first-time discount). I was able to make an appointment the day-of, the girls there are EXTREMELY friendly, and I didnt have to wait at all once I arrived at the salon. Erica was my esthetician and she was excellent. Ive been getting waxed for about six years, and this was without a doubt the quickest, most painless Brazilian Ive ever received. I will absolutely be returning as a regular customer and I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I have been coming to Viva Brasil for almost 4 years and I would not go anywhere else! I have highly sensitive skin and since they design and make their own wax it does not irritate the skin. This post is mainly so other people can learn from my mistake... I booked an appointment online on Saturday for Saturday and had to cancel same day (work emergency). Per the companys cancellation policy on the website and what I was told over the phone, I had a week to make up the appointment without being over charged. I made an appointment online again and noted the cancellation policy. When you book online, you enter your credit card info....After my wax (the only reason this is 2 stars, not one, is for Margarita - if I could rate her and not the company itd be 5 stars) I went to pay and was told that because I booked twice online I was going to be charged both times, even though the website doesnt say anything about needing to make a make up appointment over the phone. The receptionist told me I could spend 55 dollars on products that I didnt want, especially since Im only in San Diego for a work trip and cant fly with liquids. Eventually I gave up and ended up with stuff I dont need, even though if I had canceled prior to 24 hours of my first appointment I would have received a refund. Doesnt make sense and seems like management is desperate to make money off customers in any way they can.

Hadnt had my wax yet when I started typing this, but I walked in and felt so comfortable and was met with the caliber of great aestheticians Ive had the pleasure of being accustomed to back home. Definitely earned a loyal customer while Im here in San Diego and can definitely say Im continuously coming back.

So coming from someone whose had some of the gnarliest waxing experiences, 11 to be exact... i can honestly say Viva Brazil has made waxing just like another easy thing on my To Do list! the girls are really nice, totally comforting to the fact that i have some crazy hair but nothing to worry about, because they had me in & out in no time & the best part was.. I WAS FREE TO DO WHATEVER I WANTED WHEN I WAS DONE! no down time no pain after i left the room. Viva definitely earned all 5 stars and then some & for anyone whose had some not so great waxing experiences, i would 100% recommend to check them out, theyre changing up the waxing game for sure! & ask for leanne, shes great!

Ive been coming here off and on for 2 years and have always had great service. This time Lala gave an AWESOME service. She is so detailed and thorough. She even cleaned up the skin afterwards which isnt always done at this salon or others. Im definitely coming back!

Quick easy and very knowledgeable. I loved lala and the atmosphere. Lala knew there is a difference in waxing African-American hair and was able to make me feel comfortable after a terrible experience I had previously.

5 star place for sure! I have looked for a place to get my Brazilian done since moving to San Diego and i have found it! Ladies...they use hard wax which doesnt give me an anxiety attack before coming into wax. Which if you wax you know is probably the most painful part. sweaty hands etc. not the case anymore. I loved the front desk girls they were friendly and had a good sense of humor. The esthetician was was not only fast but efficient. Ask for LeAnn if you come in she was awesome. oh and if you use this say i referred you so i get the referral points :)

My biggest regret was stopping my visits to Viva Brazil. The girls are great. Summer is coming, dont waste your time shaving!! The minimal pain is worth the money...the results are bathing suit FABULOUS!!!
