Ive been going to Girl on the Go and been seeing Dana for over 5 years. I recently went for the first time since the pandemic, and I was very impressed by how seriously Dana takes all the precautions. It was a safe and very clean environment. And of course, Dana (whos the owner and also my provider) does a fantastic job with my facial. I always get the custom and let her do whats best. She knows her stuff, gives amazing facials, and is an all around fantastic human and business woman. I dont trust anyone else with my face/skin care. Thanks Dana!!

I dont write reviews normally, but this place deserves my attention.I can’t wait till the COVID restrictions are lifted and Girl on the Go can open again. I’m missing my monthly treatments and TLC.I started coming to this place a few years ago for some basic services because my skin needed some help. Due to the impressive results I received during my first few visit, I booked myself for additional services such as their body treatments. Now I visit multiple times a month for multiple treatments. After every visit I’m always leaving the spa feeling and looking better than ever before.The monthly facials I receive at the spa are incredible, there’s nothing like having all your pores cleaned, I mean, truly, deeply cleaned. Plus, the body treatment is truly out of this world if you’ve never had one. You don’t realize how dirty or dry your skin truly is until you get a body treatment. Your skin will feel ultra-smooth and tight after getting a body treatment and your face will feel more radiant and cleaner than ever before after getting a facial.No matter what your routine is at home, nothing can compare to the professional services you ‘ll receive here nor will your result at home come anywhere close to the result you’ll get here visiting Girl on the Go. You cannot go wrong booking an appointment at this place once it reopens, I just hope it’s sooner than later.

I received a gift certificate for this spa, and I was very impressed. The ambience was good, the owner/provider was very professional, and the quality of the service was outstanding. The pandemic has resulted in the loss of some services as the business has adjusted to continue, and this is unfortunate. But, overall, I highly recommend. The costs are high, but I think the quality is also high.

Dana Gray is an exceptionally talented & awesome esthetician who always gives 150% to each of her clients. From the moment I arrived at her Spa & throughout my appointment, I felt so calm & relaxed. - my only wish at the end of my appt:I would have loved to have booked another service & stayed longer!! Cute spa in a very modern and cool building. I had a voucher for an hour massage and decided to use it after a stressful week at the office. Their website is easy to navigate and the online reservation page is super easy to use and very convenient. I love that they open late to accommodate folks that often work past 5:00 pm. Stephen was my masseuse and he did a fantastic job with the massage. He gave me a thorough consultation and provided a massage to fit my needs (to relieve stress and relax). Even without the voucher, the price is great for an hour massage. I would definitely return and pay full price. Thanks!

I had a great experience at Girl on the Go! Night Spa. My husband sent me there for a massage one afternoon, and I received a wonderful massage. Steven was knowledgeable and helped to give me a very tailored experience, perfect for my needs (knots and tension). He also discussed with me what he discovered about my areas of tension after my massage and showed me exercises and stretches I could do on my own at home to help relieve some of that tension. I would for sure go back if I lived closer to the area. Highly recommend!

My husband referred me to Girl on the Go Night Spa. It was truly a very positive experience. The entire staff, including the owners, were extremely friendly and very professional. The spa is beautifully decorated, quiet, neat and very clean. I also found the serene decor to be very calming. They did a great job in the decorating of this spa. I had a manicure/pedicure and enjoyed every minute of it! The technician was very skilled, attentive to what she was doing, and I had one of the best manicures/pedicures Ive ever had. I love the fact that they offer evening hours and that they use beautiful individual foot baths that can be easily cleaned after each use. I will definitely visit this spa again!

Girl on the Go Spa was wonderful! They were friendly and made me feel like a princess! After a long day of running around girl on the go spa is the perfect way to end the day (who would have thought nighttime manicures were the best thing!) Dont go here if you are looking for a rushed quick experience, they take their time, but you get to sip on champagne as soon as you walk in the door! Loved the people and the cozy atmosphere! Cant wait to go back!

My first experience with Girl on the Go Night Spa far exceeded my expectations! I went for a Brazilian wax and a customized facial with Dana. I dont know how she did it, but the wax was far less painful than any Ive ever had before! Then the facial put me into a blissful coma. Dana was so incredibly knowledgeable about skincare and used phenomenal products. I already booked my next appointment and look forward to reaching my skin goals with Danas help. Girl on the Gos passion and product is unsurpassed by any spa Ive ever been to. Added bonus they are open until 10pm and as a nurse with odd hours that really helps!

I was in SD on summer vacation and broke one of my nails pretty bad so I was looking for a place to fix it. I found Girl on the Go via Google Maps and just booked an appointment online for the next day.Everything was great! I loved the studio and the atmosphere. They patched my nail and I got a manicure as well. The patch was great and it lasted till the crack grew out. The polish and the service were perfect! I can really recommend coming here.

I have been seeing Dana for spa facials every couple of weeks, and I cannot rate her and Girl on the Go highly enough! I would see Dana every week if I could! The spa is warm, inviting and relaxing. The treatment room is quiet and a has truly upscale spa feel. Dana uses the best products, and gets amazing results for your skin! Not only is the treatment wonderful, but Dana is a wonderfully kind and caring person. You can tell that she really cares about you and your results. When the facial is over, she will recommend products for you that you cannot find in the store, that work wonders! I could rave for days about Dana and Girl on the Go. Five stars is not enough!

Very beautiful spa in a great location with GREAT business hours! For a girl who works 8-5 and then goes to school until 8pm this place rocks for appointment availability! I have had two pedicures here. I loved it so much I brought my Mom back for her birthday who in turn is going to bring in her husband for a pedicure too!Overall; great, clean, pretty place with wonderfully nice and accommodating employees! Id definitely recommend you visit!

Girl on the Go! is a perfect place to get a facial when you really are on the go all the time. I love that she extends her hours into the evenings. As a busy law student who works and attends classes, finding someone who works with my schedule was key. The service was great. Its just you so she can focus on your concerns. She also recommended some great products for my skin. Im just sad I havent had time to go back to get another facial but I definitely will go back when I can.

I had the BEST facial of my life with Dana- shes incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and talented. She uses high quality products and can make great recommendations for what is best for your skin. But theres no pressure to buy anything extra if you need to watch your budget, which seems to be pretty rare in the spa world. Id highly recommend Girl on the Go! and Dana in particular- you wont be disappointed!

This is such a pretty spa, a pretty spa to make you feel like the most pretty you after you get pampered! Come early so you can shop their jewelry, candles, & other treats.Customer service was great. I was given an option of beverages & decided on the Black Earl Grey Lavender iced tea & it was light & refreshing.

I liked the personal experience. I had a massage there a couple of months ago with Steven and oh man! He is awesome! Ive never had a massage so personalized for my needs. I felt like a new person when I left. Im going back in a couple of weeks with my husband for a couples massage. By the way, my husband had a massage by Steven as well and he said that it was by far, the best massage hes ever had. Ive found my spa, never going anywhere else!

The ambiance and setting is quite chic and clean. Its an intimate setting and very one on one experience which I enjoy but I know some would rather sit back, relax and not have to talk. Overall, i enjoyed it and will probably go back. However, i had 2 disappointments: 1, You cant get your hands and feet done at the same time so it takes a lot longer than I normally have for this kind of thing and 2, my nail polish on my hands bubbled.

Loved this place! It is pretty hard to find but it is behind counterpoint. I went in for a wax and it was not painful at all. Dana was so nice and sweet and she explained to me the difference between waxing and shaving. I will definitely schedule another appointment!

Loved my visit here. I found them while I was on vacation and found the experience very relaxing. The girls are very nice and the location is very clean. I have already recommended this spa to friends who will be in the San Diego area. I also love the brand of vegan nail polish they use and the sugar scrub they make themselves. I will definitely have to come visit them again next time Im in San Diego.

I was able to get a last minute massage on a Sunday. The front desk was super nice and accommodating and the massage with Lin was amazing! He was professional and it was one of the best deep tissue massages Ive had in a long time. Definitely a 5 star experience.

You can get skin treatment, detox and various massages (sports, deep tissue, reflexology, and more!). Girl on the Go! Night Spa is open late so you can still treat yourself if you end up stuck in traffic. Youll have a great experience!

I found Girl on the Go almost 3 years ago. I am a working professional woman that has my home life responsibilities to get done on the weekends. I was so sick of fighting for Saturday day spa appointments for waxing or anything else for that matter. Girl on the Go is perfect for such a woman (and a man really).They are open late and have a great variety of availability. The spa is impeccably clean and organized. The staff are all gracious and friendly. And not to mention all of the products they use are quality and organic. My skin is sensitive and Ive never had any issues. Go right now! Of course, being next door to Counterpoint makes a perfect post spa treatment glass of wine.

I really like this place. She has a great studio. This girl is so motivated, hard working and just a lovely person. Her hours are perfect for anyone that needs a late night appointment. I like to close my shop put the family to bed and sneak out for some me time.

I tried Girl on the Go! for the first time a few weeks ago because I found an online deal for a 1 hour massage that sounded pretty great. I also went ahead and booked a pedicure for the same day. The massage was wonderful and very relaxing. I felt like a few different styles were incorporated into the same massage, which is fine with me, as long as the knots in my back/shoulders/neck are worked out (which they were). The massage therapist also incorporated stretching of the neck and upper back, a nice touch.The pedicure was just ok. They have a bench along the wall with pillows and cushions that looks like it would be comfortable, but it really wasnt that comfortable to sit on, not like the usual comfy massage chairs that most nail places have. The sugar scrub was really awesome, and they make their own. I wish that a little more work was done on my callouses; it was pretty superficial. Other than that, the leg massage part was great.Overall, it was a good experience and the girls were all really friendly. I dont think I would go back for the pedicure, especially at that price. I probably would go back for the massage at some point since the price is pretty good for a 1 hour massage, but Im not hurrying to make another appointment any time soon.

Amazing spa! I got a groupon deal with a friend for a manicure/pedicure. The atmosphere is very fun, flirty yet calming. The ambiance was definitely all spa! The staff are friendly and helpful. The treatments were sensational. My hands and feet felt so pampered. The scrubs smelled like heaven. The nail polish brands did not contain the big three ingredients that are considered highly toxic. That was a bonus for me! I didnt have to worry about those fumes I dislike so much. The colors were also great. Another bonus--you decide what you want to drink! We chose mimosas and champagne :) Such a good experience!

Steven the massage therapist, this guy is amazing. He knows about 20 different massage styles. He spent more time going over my history and finding out what I need than any other massage therapist has. He really paid attention. Which of course, resulted in a fantastic massage. My back had bothered me for a few weeks, all better now! I will sing his praises All. Day. Long. If you want to treat yourself schedule a massage with Steven.

I bought a massage for my boyfriend after a semi-serious back injury that had been negatively affecting him for a week. This is literally THE ONLY thing that has helped. He walked out in complete amazement, so happy that his pain was finally gone! He learned so many techniques that he can bring into our at-home massages as well. I go here twice a month and get a great deal via my membership. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is a very relaxing spa. Smells great. There are various massages to choose from and various time options as well. The therapists are highly experienced in focusing on your trouble spots. I box and run and do the stairs and I am old. I need extra care with my body. The massages I get here help me to destress and releax my body and mind to stay pain free. Parking can be an issue depending on what time your massage is so just plan for extra time to park. Free parking in a neighborhood setting.

Loved the manicure and pedicure I got here! Nicole was super easy to chat with and my manicure lasted almost 10 days. The complementary champagne is also a great touch. Will definitely be back!

I bought a living social for a massage here. This place was wonderful, the receptionist and the massage therapist were very professional. However, I first called to make the appointment whomever answered the phone was a bit rude. The woman kept telling me the code living social gave me wasnt correct and almost wouldnt schedule me my appointment. It all worked out and everything turned around when I actually went to my appointment.

I needed my eyebrows done and I was on my way to L.A. They made an appointment for me early the next morning and included an upper lip wax. My brows looked great! I will definitely go back to Girl on the Go!

Ive had nothing but positive experiences from this spa. I first went there because my hubby got me a Living Social deal for a massage. And it was wonderful! Pressure was good, place was really clean and pretty, service was outstanding. I next went for a manicure- I got to sip on some wine while getting my manicure. It surprisingly lasted quite a bit too. Cant wait to go back.They also have a great membership program that includes a certain amount of manis/pedis or shellac.

I received a friendly reminder call by Steven (I believe that was his name) the day before. I found parking quickly when I arrived although that may have been luck. From what I was told, it is usually a little tricky. I received a mani/pedi by Jessica and she was very friendly. The ambience is great and since it is small, the experience is really personal. Id definitely come again--more so for a special occasion than on a regular basis though only because it is slightly more than Id normally pay for that service. I loved their vegan nail polish options and the fact that the color lasted just as long as others.

Girl on the Go! Night Spa is so cute, girly, and chic. I love the royal purple, succulents, friendly staff, and earth friendly/organic products. I got a facial from Dana, which was amazing!! I dont normally like getting facials, but I must say this was my best experience. Steven gave me a massage following my amazing facial. Steven was so professional. We talked for at least 5 minutes before on what was going on with my body, injuries, & my goals. Lavender oil was used on the massage table . . . Heaven:) Steven is so smart, and up-to-date on his anatomy, by far a fantastic massage. I even learned a few exercises I could do at home to relieve that neck tension. Thank you to everyone at the spa for doing such an amazing job! Ill be back soon to get a manicure and pedicure, and another facial with Dana.

Girl on the Go! Night Spa is a quaint spa located behind a popular eatery/bar in Golden Hill. Its very clean and the staff is friendly. They do not rush though the services and I enjoyed my mani/pedi. The paint wasnt very good though as it bubbled up so Im not sure what caused that. I would recommend it as they have later hours that accommodate for those of us who work the daily 8-5.

It was wonderful, all around. Stephen really listened to my needs, issues etc to create a session just for me. The spa is modern, open and very clean.

I LOVE this spa!!! I dont think I will ever go anyplace else again. I go regularly for brow/lip wax and brow tints, and Dana gets it just right. She doesnt use any harsh chemicals in her products which makes my skin less red and irritated. The rooms are very relaxing as well - overall the decor is lovely.I also go here for mani/pedis and facials which I definitely recommend as a treat. The nail treatments involve a sugar scrub and natural nail polish (Zoya) that stays on for weeks (in my experience) and the color selection is large. The facials - WOW. What a way to spoil yourself. 90 minutes of bliss.The great thing about this spa is that it offers both excellent service and an environment that strives to be natural and pure. Highly recommend.

I went to Girl on the Go Night Spa with my mom, and it was a great experience! We were greeted with glasses of champagne, and then told to pick out the polish colours we wanted for our mani and pedis, while the estheticians were finishing up with other clients. The two women were super friendly and they did a great job of cleaning up and polishing our nails. We will definitely be back again!
