Love this grocery store. The team is friendly, knowledgeable and always very helpful. Today, I called to ask if an item was in stock- since it was the last one, they offered to hold it for me. Above and beyond! They have an excellent vitamin and natural supplement selection, and tons of vegan options.

I love coming here except this is literally the second time I have stood next to employees gossiping about their personal lives ( apparently about another employee the second time I experienced this ) I did not require their assistance , but if you’re standing that close to a customer, they should always be acknowledged. Another time there was a spill and I went around looking for someone to report it to , because I thought someone could slip. I caught a lady with straight hair headed to the back , I told her what happens. Her response “ I’m going on my break , you can tell someone at the front “, it’s my understanding she IS a manager or at least some sort of supervisor. REALLY ? You instruct a customer with the point of your finger to head to the front of the store to report , because you’re going on break??? So I love their products , but on more than one occasion have experienced what I would call unprofessionalism . I have worked retail all my life, I KNOW this is not acceptable. I feel it was finally time to say something . This can be fixed.. I need to make it clear that this was the North West Military location

Love the selection here. They stock health foods I can’t find anywhere else. It’s always clean and well managed.

Ive been here twice and I love the fact that not many people shop all at once. Checkout is quick and they have a lot of gifts to buy for yourself or family that I have not seen at any mall or walmart,HEB or elsewhere.

For the most part they are always stocked. What sets them apart from whole foods is the customer service. Never have I ever went to NG and had bad service.

Clean and well stocked. The staff is extremely friendly and the prices granted a bit high, but worth it for the quality of product.The main reason went was for local honey to help with allergies, and was not disappointed in the selections.Will definitely go again.

I will not return to Natural Grocers. For a supposedly health oriented store, there are NO Covid protocols being observed. The cashiers dont wear masks and most of the other customers are not....no social distancing, either. When I mentioned my concern to the cashier, she blew me off in a disdainful manner. Yeah Whole Foods and HEB....no more here.

Wonderful organic grocery store for gluten-free diets and other specific and restricted diets. They have a great selection of organic, sugar free and gluten free breads and gluten-free pasta such as Jovial pasta.

This is probably one of the smallest natural grocers that I’ve been in (minus 1 star) but it was very nice and clean. We love Natural grocers stores!Staff working there was very friendly with the exception of the cashier that when I noticed an item ringing up one dollar more than the advertised price he made a statement to another worker to check the price because this customer doesn’t want to pay just a little more, I said yep $1 more and the sale price could be seen from the register. ( minus1 star) They forgot to change the price, I let the young man know that’s an old trick of bait and switch. Sorry kids, I’m not rich.Now if he would’ve caught me stealing a dollar worth of something it probably would’ve been a huge deal lol

This has the biggest selection of vitamins and nutritional health items I have seen in a while and is a great addition to uptown San Antonio

This is my favorite grocery store but a recent experience left be feeling highly disappointed. A non-mask wearing shopper was leaning over and breathing all over the produce on December 13, 2020. Despite the “masks required” signs on the door, the staff informed me that the CEO has instructed staff not to approach non-mask wearers to avoid conflict. I had some choice words with this shopper, who was highly disrespectful. Hospitals are at max capacity and our city is under a mask mandate. Does Natural Grocers truly have our health at the forefront of their values? Highly disappointing experience.

LOVE this grocery store! Clean! Well stocked! Lots of fresh organic fruits and veggies! Great variety of supplements and vitamins to choose from. Spices and herbs are loosely packaged too. Last but not least! Friendly customer service!

I shop at Natural Grocers due to their high standards for all products they carry. All of the produce is 100% organic, and the quality of their vitamins and supplements are outstanding, also when you go to the website you can look up products they dont carry and why. When you are concerned about what you are putting in your body, this is the store to shop!

This place is great for a variety of vegan products. They also have a great selection of bulk items at great prices like beans, spices, sugar, rice and more. They have a selection of non-toxic body care as well. The lines are not usually long and the customer service is good. The one thing that could be better is the selection of produce but for a neighborhood grocery store it is very good.

My local Whole Food Plant Based store. They have things other grocery stores dont. They have all organic vegetables. Today organic yellow onions were 69cents a pound.

Before covid, I would have given this business 4 or 5 stars. However, since they changed their mask policy (despite a city ordinance) to suggesting masks via signage near the entrance instead of requiring either a mask or face shield, I have seen far too many customers flouting the mask ordinance, and management does nothing about it. I emailed the company and was given lame excuses as to why they dont enforce the policy. Since NG touts itself as one of the cleanest and healthiest stores in the U.S., I expect better, especially considering the premium prices.

Egg prices for members are amazing. Vitamin department has a huge selection and if they dont have it the manager will find it or find something very close to it. All I had to do was bring in a picture of both front and back of container. Body care has only the most natural choices, and the rest if the store is dedicated to health so very easy to shop if you have any health concerns. Oh and the classes they do are very informative their health coach has a lot of knowledge and love for the job.

First time in store great atmosphere wonderful selection of good healthy food and supplements cant wait to go back and spend more time in the store

Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Produce is good, just wish the supplement shelves were a little better stocked. We have to drive quite a ways to get there, and only come every month or two, and never fails that they are out of some of our supplements. This wont stop us from shopping here, we just substitute it, or wait and come back. We have been shopping Natural Grocers since it started in Colorado.

The best health food grocery store in the city!

First time there today, and my wife and I were greeted by every floor team member from the cashier to produce and other departments. I asked the cashier, Heather, if they took coupons and explained our newbie status. She was very helpful and thorough when we checked out explaining store policies regarding bags, bagging, and the donations the store makes to the local Food Bank. Informed us of the rewards program and booklets available.Theres a small clearance at the end of a cold aisle where we snagged some probiotic drinks for $1.24 which was a score. All produce is organic so for most items, expect to pay a little more, but that is to be expected. You can pick through and find some great deals though. Found some produce less expensive than prices at Trader Joes which is our usual go to.Arrive early at opening and find no line. Masks, wipes, and sanitizer available upon entry.Great experience. Ill be back!

I love this place, most everything that comes here is in season from your local famer, the selections arent in vast quantity so if its important to you to know that its not likely for them to throw out unsold food, youre conscious will be clean supporting this business! They have a good vegan selection (meat/dairy subs as well as icecream). Feels homey being here, and the employees are very sweet and go out of their way to help you. I have an HEB down the street from me but I go out of my way to come here. Prices are reasonable, they always have sales and make sure you bring your own bag :D

This stores location is a bit rough due to the small parking lot and tight spaces, but the store itself makes up for any inconvenience.We shop at Natural Grocers all over. From Texas to Colorado. Weve seen a few of them. This store fits right in with the rest of them. Excellent service, clean aisles, well stocked, and well organized.Keep up the good work folks!

Great place for organic foods

Its okay but out of a lot of stuff. Im glad to see someone give competition to whole foods. This is more of a real health food store than whole foods less selection but more authentic. Stores need an upgrade they are getting kind of rundown. They carry genius coconut smoothie.

This was our first time there because we were picking up something for another person. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Love that everything in the store was more natural and good for you. Such variety. Much better than the isle or two you might find in the grocery store. We will definitely be back.

Very clean and great quality food. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. My only issue is that the prices are a bit high. I shop at Whole Foods as well and their Gardien stuff is much cheaper than at this store.

Love how easy it is to find what I was looking for. Great snacks and healthy food.

My favorite place to shop. Its closer to my house than HEB but has the same brand plus more than I would by at central market (with equivalent prices). The customer service is above and beyond any other grocery market. Typically I dont have many question but I know any of the employees that I encounter would be able to answer them. They also have the brand of cat food my kitty loves along with organic cat litter that doesnt smell (as long as I add baking soda). 5/5 would most definitely recommend to anyone whos omnivore to vegan.

Best place to buy your water

Better prices than Whole Foods, and much better customer service! We shop almost exclusively here. All produce is organic, granted they have a small produce department. Supplement/vitamin selection is amazing and priced reasonably. They have amazing sales and events! If you love kombucha or similar drinks, this is your place to shop. Please note they do not sell alcohol, and they are a bag free store, so bring your own shopping bags.

Amazing find. Were vegans and have been relegated to shopping Whole Foods for some of the more esoteric items. Decided to give it a try. Wow. Small but awesome produce section. Great selection of spices and dry goods. Milks (both dairy and non) section is amazing. Vitamins and supplements are the best, as well as a huge personal products section.

I love this place. I just moved to town and was happy to see Natural Grocers open up down the street from my new work place. This location is clean, the employees are helpful and the products that I expected to be there were in stock. I just wish that they had local farm ready to eat food available for a lunch time pick up similar to what is available at the Temple location.

This remains the best grocers in San Antonio. Friendly and helpful staff, great products. Ill always recommend this.

Love this place! friendly staff and lots of selection for gluten free people. They seem to carry a lot of eco friendly products above all else.

My grandmother would have recognized almost everything here as food. Nice selection of coffee. I tried to find inorganic Half and Half, but alas, there was none. Bring money if you want to buy the organic, as I did.

Great place to shop for whole foods, they only carry products with certain ingredients in them and wont carry products not up to par, which shows how high their standards are.

A great little grocery store and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Everything that is sold here is natural and/or organic.They have food, hygiene and beauty products and dietary supplements. The prices are fair and they are always running manager specials for nice discounts.

My daughter turned me on to Natural Grocers in Vegas. Im so glad they came to San Antonio. No one can beat their prices on most items unless they are on sale at Sprouts or Whole Foods. They do not carry a wide variety of groceries but thats okay I dont shop there for my groceries, I do that at the other organic stores. They tend to have the certain things I need that the other organic stores do not supply. The staff is very friendly and helpful like Whole Foods.

Love shopping at this place. Like a quiet getaway from the overly crowded Whole Foods, Central Market, and HEB nearby. Friendly staff and comparable prices to stores mentioned above. I prefer to shop here because of the products and atmosphere.

Health food grocery shopping with very good prices. Organic produce, supplements, kombucha and other health drinks, frozen foods, cosmetics, almost anything you find at any grocery store. Employees are very helpful and friendly.

A smaller shop for quick convienent shoping . Although not a lot of variety in fruits and vegies. Good on other items. I seem not to spend too much and as a member you get special deals.(pricing) I like because its not too far from where i live. The people there are very helpful and a quick checkout.

Love this store. Able to find great bulk items for baking, cooking and snacking. Vegan items galore from soap, toothpaste, deodorants, chips, condiments and list goes on and on.

Its always nice to shop in a calm atmosphere with friendly employees!

POOR customer serviceI came to this location because its inky 15 min from my house versus 30 min for the one on NW Military. They didnt have what I needed, but I was hopeful so I asked a cashier to see if they may have my own at the other locating before I took a long drive in vain. I stood directly across from the cashier and patiently waited for a response. The store wasnt busy so I figured it wouldnt take long. She pointed me to another person who stated she would call the other store. I waited for 5 minutes. I asked the cashier again and she pointed to another person who stated he would call, and after waiting another 5 minutes I gave up. I went to the cashier to let her know I had not heard back from the people who were supposed to help me and she responded with oh, she called and told me it was at the other store. I told her I had been waiting for a response all this time and heard nothing even though I was right across from her. The other staff standing around her confirmed that the call was made. After that, the other guy magically appeared to tell me the same thing and all the co-workers laughed in my face about the ordeal. I felt undervalued as a customer and that my time was not respected. I will not be returning to this location.

Ive really tried to support this local neighborhood grocery - especially since it seems like there isnt much customer support based on the limited number of cars in the parking lot or customers inside the store. Their mailing and online advertised specials are what drew me to them initially. Three times out of four, they were out of what they were advertising. Once, I was told they didnt even carry a product that was advertised online - the reason was specials might have defaulted to their Colorado store. I was told this product would be ordered, and I would be contacted when it arrived (that was a month ago). Yesterday, I learned they quit carrying a product Ive bought regularly since the store opened. On a positive note, the staff is helpful. I wont return. Too frustrating.
