They worked with me on payment and scheduling and I felt respected and valued.I chose Dr. Sugerman because of several recommendations I had received from pilots in my workforce. She is highly regarded by the FAA and aviation professionals, and an expert in the niche market for obtaining requested neuropsychological reports.Additionally her assistants Blake and Cammie are key to the operation. They are both top-notch administrators, clear, welcoming and have great attitudes and patience during very long days.Dr. Sugerman and her staff is the right choice.Side note: the office is impeccably decorated in a historical and informed aviation theme.

If youre dealing with the FAA, this is the place to go. Dr. Sugerman was incredibly accommodating and helpful. The FAA process is very overwhelming but Dr. Sugerman helped me through every part. I had to do very little other than show up for the testing. The testing was well worth the price.

As a 20 year old college student who almost has their commercial pilot’s license, I never expected that I’d need to have extensive neuropsychological testing done in order to keep my FAA Medical. However, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sugerman and her team. I was told it would take a month or two to get me back in the air, and if I’m honest I was pretty skeptical... Especially since everyone else was telling me this process would take a year or two.So, you could imagine my surprise when I received my new First Class Medical just a little over a month after my evaluation with her. She and her team do NOT mess around! Both of her assistants were great to work with, and I truly felt that they cared about my success just as much as Dr. Sugerman did. I also appreciate how she took the time to answer all of my questions after the evaluation was done - she’d even call me while driving on her way home from work to keep me updated on how everything was going.As daunting as dealing with the FAA can be, if you must deal with them, Dr. Sugerman is the ONLY way to go - she is well worth the price and whatever distance you may have to travel (I traveled from Missouri myself). You will not find anyone else who cares as much or gets things done as fast as she does. Thanks to her, I can now get back to my flight training and ended up only missing out on flying for about a month.

If you need an FAA Neuropsychological Evaluation, I highly recommend the Steinmann Institute. My son and I traveled from Pennsylvania to Utah on a recommendation that Dr. Sugarman was the best in the business and she proved that to be true! Dr. Sugerman is an extremely genuine and passionate doctor who truly cares about the success of her clients. She made herself available to answer questions anytime of the day or night. We did not know what to expect from this daunting process, but Dr. Sugerman took the time to explain everything very thoroughly and she provided a timeline which she stuck to very diligently. Others told us that the process of getting an exam and acquiring a medical certificate could take at least a year - she made it happen in less than five weeks from my initial phone call to inquire! Steinmann Institute is amazing! They have been Wonderful since my first phone call. It is not very often you get to speak with the Dr.on your initial phone call. I was immediately comfortable with Dr. Sugerman , so much so, we booked an appointment and traveled 4 hours to see her. Her knowledge of the FAA requirements and her ability to navigate that are ON POINT! She will truly do whatever she can to help you accomplish the goal you set out to accomplish. I would highly recommend Steinmann Institute to anyone, especially pilots or potential pilots. She may be tiny, but she is a force! Sterling, her assistant has also been wonderful to work with!

I was super nervous beforehand, but my evaluation with Dr. Sugerman and her associates was actually quite enjoyable. They were very professional even with the different changes that they had to make due to Covid 19. The office is an awesome space that is themed very well for the kind of practice Dr. Sugerman runs. My psychiatrist office gave me list of testing facilities where I could get a full mental evaluation of my son. The other facilities were a long wait. Dr. Sugarman, at the Steinmann Institute, accommodated us and our schedule. She gave my son a full 2 day evaluation. She asked for reports from other doctors and gathered years of information so she could give us the most thorough evaluation. I completely recommend her skills. Each person in the office were professional and kind. They all gave us the best care!

Dr. Sugerman is a life saver! She worked with me in every single aspect of my case. She took background over the phone and was able to get me in ASAP by rearranging her schedule. While I was in the process of getting my evaluation done, everything was great. I paid them half up front in May and the other half was going to be in a couple months. I unexpectedly lost my job in June and therefore lost the funds to finish paying my remaining balance. I am now a full time student working part time and they will NOT work with me to settle my final balance. I have talked to them many times and explained my financial situation to them to no avail. Ive been making monthly payments since May and have not missed a month! I just got an email from my HSA account holder telling me that my then $0.00 balance is now HUNDREDS in the negative. I am LIVID! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY THEM UP FRONT! They dont care if you are going hungry if you are being forced to choose between feeding yourself and paying them. I wish I did more research when I was looking into doing my evaluation. This situation has caused me to lose trust and credibility with this company and I will not recommend them, look elsewhere if you want to be treated like a person AFTER treatment, too.

My experience with Dr. Sugerman and her staff has been excellent. They administered the cognitive tests required by the FAA in a friendly and encouraging manner. Her report was prepared and forwarded to the FAA HIMS AME without delay. Later I received mail notification from the FAA that the application submitted for me by the HIMS AME appeared to be incomplete. Despite multiple phone calls and text messages over about 4 weeks I could not make contact with the HIMS AME. I appealed to Dr. Sugerman who took the time to call my case officer at the FAA, find out what documentation was missing, obtained a copy of the missing report from the psychologist and faxed it directly to the FAA. Without her intervention I dont know what would have happened.

She knows exactly what you need and how to do it. She is very knowledgeable about the FAA and will make your situation as easy and fluid as possible. I recently had a neuropsychological evaluation performed at the Steinmann Institute. I have no complaints. They worked with me to ensure I understood what I was doing and what was expected during each section of the evaluation. Communication was excellent with Dr. Sugarman as well as all of her supporting staff. I received return calls when I was told I would and I would argue Dr. Sugarman goes out of her way to help you by contacting agencies directly on your behalf.The negative reviews regarding payment should have read the very clear and concise agreement every patient signs before beginning treatment. If you take issue with it, dont continue. Its really quite simple.Thank you to everyone at the Steinmann Institute!

I will never go back to this this place! The receptionist thinks she has the credentials to diagnose (scare)you into making another appointment! Oh and make sure your prepared for them to take out $ from your bank without any communication.

Dr. Sugerman may have a small office in an unlikely facility, but she is an exceptional psychologist! From the moment you walk into her office, youll notice her comforting and uniquely vintage decor. Her staff are quiet but helpful. One in particular was able to work with my duaghter even when she had clearly had too much and was starting to act out. Dr. Sugerman was calm and thorough. She requested extra assessments in order to really find the subtle issues our child was struggling with. Her detailed evaluation and analysis pinpointed the exact problem and was extremely useful in finding and recommending workable solutions. We have already seen ENORMOUS improvement from implementing her solutions. Obviously, I can only speak to our experience with a pre-teen, but we all love Dr. Sugerman and her staff and recommend the Steinmann Institute highly!

Im a student pilot now who, a short while ago, was in need of medical certification from the FAA. Dr. Sugerman went out of her way to alot time to take care of me. She knew FAA standard procedure and put in 110% effort to see to it that I got what I needed in time. I would highly recommend her to future prospective pilots in a similar situation, as well as to anyone in need of psychoneurological expertise in general. I listened as a friend attempted to resolvereversing charges for sevices Dr. Sugerman agreed to provide and never did. My friend was frustrated that Dr. Superman struggles with basic skills such as communication, not returning phone calls, not replying to emails. Dr. Sugermans staff often struggled with social skills, they would cut my friend off as he was speaking and avoided his follow up phone calls.Please avoid using this place.

Dr Sugerman was very helpful and very informative. Dr. Sugarman took the time to showme what my injury did to me and how I may help myself and over come some of the affects is caused. Was very descriptive and helpful in my understanding. Dr. Sugerman is best you can tell she really cares for her patients.

Dr Sugarman was extremely unprofessional. My son could see the answers to the tests she was administering. Because of this, the $5000 spent on this testing was a complete waste of time and money, and prevented me from getting answers about my son I was seeking. When I brought this to her attention, she was aggressive and combative, told me my son was lying, and that she recorded our conversation and would have her lawyer contact me, then hung up on me.

I just called to ask about services and I was treated so good. They took a background over the phone and was very professional.

I was treated disrespectfully over the phone by a doctor at this institute. I became upset by the lack of communication, messages that were not returned and issues with billing, when the doctor became angry at me when I told them facts about billing that I was told by my insurance, I hung up on them. I was actually planning on calling back today now that a little time had passed to see if things could have been worked out but when I got home today I found I was over-nighted a letter stating that I was the disrespectful one and if I or any one in my family should return I would be forced to leave. The patient was 6 years old.

Id build a wall to keep Dr. Sugerman in!
