I discovered this place one year ago and since then, Ive returned several times. Gigi is who made my highlights and haircuts. She is wonderful!!! Also, they have very affordable prices. And because I made an appointment everytime, I never had to wait.

I really like the girl who cut my hair. She was so nice and she took the time to explain everything about colors.

Great cut from Candice yesterday!!! Economical at $12 for adults. I have paid triple at other places and not been as happy. Today did highlights with Sam. Just gorgeous! She knows color. Would not have expected this quality from a hidden gem in a garage parking lot.

I have used this beauty salon for about 15 years. They are competent professionals, most of whom go the extra mile for customers. The clientele is good to and many could afford more expensive professionals, but like the location, commitment to quality and client service.

Girl from bountiful did a Gr8 job on my hair. My friend went here and they kinda messed up his hair a bit but he went in right before close and I have to review based on my experience. Definitely going back again.

The place underground looks Shady as heck, but don’t let that scare you away from this place, I had a hair emergency and my other Stylist was over booked and couldn’t get me in before I left town, I went to Emily (based on reviews on google) and asked her to trim my thick wall of hair and clean up my pixie cut. She had excellent communication skills and she took it nice and slow, we had nice chit chat- and she went above and beyond and gave me such an amazing deal on hair product that I can get at the other salon I go to, but full price. I will definitely be back!

Candace is amazing! I went in for a new hairstyle, showed her what i wanted and she made it look good! Definitely coming back!Came back and added some color! Love it! But while I was waiting I got a chance to observe the others who are also AMAZING! Great place! I highly recommend it!

HIGHLY recommend this location for eyebrow waxing! I have my eyebrows waxed here every couple of weeks and each one of these ladies do a wonderful job with styling. They dont rush and they take the time to make sure I walk out with clean lines.

I was serviced by Candy, who I presume is the manger of this location, and she was fantastic. She showed deep knowledge of hair health and did a quick and cheap ($12) trim on my endings because they were splitting. Loved the service and loved the professional approach. Would highly recommend!

The only place Ill go to get my haircut anymore. There are other salons in the city with similar price points, but this is the only one where I really feel like I get a professional cut for the price. The only people who I have ever trusted to trim my beard (besides myself) are the stylists at Avenues Dollar cuts.

Very disappointed. Candice used to cut my hair usually. She was very good at what she does. Today I got my haircut done with someone else. It was the worst. My hair length is uneven, side burns were trimmed on one side, and left alone on the other.I had to get my cut fixed after I left the salon.Will not recommend this place if your haircut is not done by Candice.

I have been going to this store for years and have always had a great experience! Do not let the name of the store deter you from trying them out. Some of the stylists are Aveda and Bumble & Bumble trained and ALL of them are super friendly. I used to pay $50 for a haircut but would never go back to doing that. At a fraction of the price, I get the same quality of service and love laughing with Emily & Candice. Try them out, you will not regret it!

This place is a little gem in our neighborhood! Emily has been doing my hair regularly for about 5 years. Color, style, cut - have never had a complaint. And everyone is so nice! Fun, relaxed atmosphere. Shalee, Candice and Sam have done my hair as well when Emily was off and can’t say anything but they were all awesome! Even took my friend in yesterday for an emergency color correction. They got him in right away and Sam worked wonders. I’ll be back. Tomorrow, actually. 😀

I have been coming to this salon since 2012 and love it. The location is nice - in the parking under the Smiths - especially in the winter when it snows. The salon does nails and waxing and there is also a nail salon next door, so I can get my hair done and a mani pedi in one trip.About the salon, the girls are awesome. Ive always gone to Emily. She is a great sounding board for new styles I want to try and Ive never been disappointed. We go over colors as well, she not only listens to what Im looking for, but is informative with suggestions. I always feel like I am in good hands.The environment is positive and upbeat, the salon is spotless! They have an excellent selection of product as well, so I pick up what I need every other visit or so and Emily has introduced me to some new favorites. Its not unusual to chit chat and catch up with each stylist there when you go in. They are all very friendly.I wouldnt trade this gem for the world. I just cant believe I havent written a review on them before!

Came in on a Saturday night and got into a chair immediately. My stylist Angela was extremely attentive and did an amazing job. Will be back, service, quality and price are outstanding.

I live in the avenues, so this is my go-to place to get my hair cut. Their price for a guys cut is also very attractive. I usually try to get my haircuts on Saturday mornings, and it seems like 50% of the time, they are too busy to take me as a walk-in. So if you go, make sure you schedule a time.

Just passing through town, needed a haircut. Sam gave me a great cut and actually took her time. I wasnt expecting much but I left very please! I highly recommend.

I had to get my cut fixed after I left. The stylist didn’t act very confident from brushing my hair out- to cutting it. This place has great reviews but not all of the stylists are top notch in there.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HAIR STAY AWAY FROM THERE! My wife went to get her hair colored blonde by Sam the Saturday before she started her new job as a teacher. We paid $140 and it looked terrible! We had to go to a different salon the very next day (they were closed Sunday) to get it somewhat fixed before she started her new job Monday. Sam had over bleached it so much that none of the new color would take. Worst of all we went in the next week and asked for only a PARTIAL refund. We filled out a form and they said they would call us. Almost 2 weeks later we still havent heard back from them. Very unimpressed!Update: 4 weeks have passed they told us they were going to send a gift card 2 weeks ago and still haven’t seen anything in the mail.

Geraldine butchered my hair. I noticed right off the bat that she didnt do what I asked her to, it wasnt until I got home that I realized how sloppy my cut is. I have had 2 people ask me if I cut it myself. It looks like my 3 year old did it. :( Ive been growing my hair out for years and it is long, she kept trying to drag a tiny comb through it and complaining that my hair tangled too easily and asking if I dye it (which I dont) as if it is damaged or something. This place has great reviews but apparently you have to see Sam or Emily for a good experience.

Going to Dollar Cuts in the Avenues is great for location and especially seeing Emily for all my hair cuts and colors. I lived near Dollar Cuts in Orem by Harmons but never walked in because of the name. If you refer your friends because they ask or comment on your hair, and you say Dollar Cuts they lose interest right away it seems. Its the old adage you get what you pay for. Salon in the Avenues gets more interest! I do appreciate the value, but would appreciate feeling the salon owners cared more about the esthetics of their salon as well. Emily keeps me coming back. She is terrific! Thanks, Emily!

CALL BEFOREHAND. Always go there to have a haircut and a beard trim. The staff is professional and they really know what they do. Proof of that is that they are always busy, so if you are planning on going there, set an appointment by phone. They are under Smiths by the way; took me some time to find them the first time.

I asked for my bangs right in the middle of my eyebrows and it ended up way above and much shorter than I asked. I got an apology and it will grow back. She really did not know how to cut bangs. Ill go back to doing it myself.
